Nautolan Naming Rules

Nautolans do not seem to have any canon naming rules or suggestions. The biggest examples we have of Nautolan names are Kit Fisto, Leeha Narezz, Bengel Morr and Zatt.

For this Nautolan Name generator, these are the rules that I have used to generate names:

• Name Length: 5-8 letters for single names, 3-6 for first names and 5-8 for last names
• First & Last Name: About 50% of Nautolans have a known last name
• Apostrophes: Very uncommon in Nautolan names, only about 5% of Nautolans have an apostrophe in their name - P'nll Vun was the strangest one
• Dashes: Very uncommon in Nautolan names, only a single Nautolan name I found had a dash, Lain-Ricie
• Starting Letters: Only start with letters in the canon names list (L, D, S and N are the most common letters to start with, with a surprising number of names starting with Z compared to other species like Zatt and Zinn Toa)
• Other Letters: Generated based on how often letter combinations show up in the canon names list.
• Double Vowels: Uncommon to see names with double vowels like ee at about 8% of names, like Leeha Narezz
• Consonants: Not a Nautolan rule, but no more than two consonants at a time, so names like Andreaus and Yacommsa will not show up, though Nautolan names with three consecutive consonants are uncommon
• Denard Philo and Halsta Labiqon: One Nautolan's name got cut from the generator data - Denard Philo, a cut content character, who kept accidentally generating beautiful names such as Phostato and Fiphi. Halsta Labiqon's last name was also removed due to some very strange q names popping up.
• 'Kit' Fisto: Short little snappy names like Nik, Ria, Kit, and Zatt are not very representative as Nautolans as a whole - but Kit Fisto is the most well known Nautolan name. So I generated a second set of names for players who wanted those types of names. Sadly, most 3 and 4 letter names are already taken in-game so I could only use them in the firstname-lastname generator.

Nautolan Canon Names

These are names of existing Nautolan characters in Star Wars: The Old Republic and in other Star Wars media. These names likely can't be used in the character creator as they may be restricted, but you can use them as inspiration for your Nautolan, and this is the list I use to pull information from for my Nautolan name generator.
