SWTOR Free Cartel Coins from Achievements

Cartel Coins are a form of currency in Star Wars: The Old Republic that allows you to buy cosmetic items and useful unlocks for your characters. You normally obtain cartel coins by buying them with real money, and subscribers are granted 500 cartel coins every month. In this video I’m going to show you how you can earn cartel coins for yourself for free without buying them, by completing the various achievements in the game that grant cartel coins. Even free-to-play and preferred players can complete many of these achievements to get free cartel coins!

How to See Achievements

To see your achievements, open your legacy panel by clicking the symbol of a character on the main menu and then choose Legacy from the dropdown. Your achievements are on the lower section of the list on the left of the Legacy panel. Many achievements are just for fun, others reward decorations or titles, and a select few grant you cartel coins when you achieve them. A majority of these cartel coins achievement are on the more difficult end of the spectrum, but there are a few that are on the easier side.

Most achievements are completed across your legacy – which means they count for your entire server – and once you complete them on your server you will not be able to re-do them on that server. However, you can do the same achievement on a different server that does not share your first server’s legacy – so many players do the easier achievements on multiple servers to gain quick cartel coins. Keep in mind that your legacies on each server are separate… but if you’ve ever transferred a character, a copy of your legacy comes with you, so you may have already “completed” an achievement and will be unable to re-do it for cartel coins if you’ve ever transferred a character with that achievement already unlocked in their legacy.

How Many Cartel Coins can you get?

At the time of making this guide, there are a total of 6 servers, and if I’ve managed to locate all the achievements and added them up right, you can earn 2,560 cartel coins per server… so technically you can earn 15,360 cartel coins if you did every achievement on every server…  but many of them are ridiculously difficult, and I wouldn’t aim to do that.

You might want to focus on finishing some of the easy achievements on multiple servers, like completing class story chapters for each class, or finish up some you have partially done on your main server. Although your achievements and legacy are per server, Cartel Coins are shared across your entire account- so whether you earn them on your first or second server, you’ll be able to spend them on whatever server you’d like.
