Korriban Incursion
For as long as the Republic has known of Korriban, the idea of capturing the Sith homeworld has been a major topic of discussion. Some believe it would mark a major turning point in the war against the Empire. Others, however, share a grave concern that prolonged habitation on the planet would cause its occupiers to be drawn to the dark side of the Force. Though Korriban has only been reclaimed as home of the Sith Order in recent decades, its rich ties to the Empire reach back thousands of years. For Republic forces to set foot on the planet, let alone capture the Sith Academy and Dark Council Chambers, is a great indignity to the Empire’s leadership.
How to Start
Korriban Incursion is a Flashpoint meant to be played as part of the Prelude to Shadow of Revan storyline. You can encounter it early on naturally at the beginning of the Shadow of Revan expansion, replay it alone in Story mode, or play it outside of the story with a group in Story, Veteran or Master mode.

Use the tabs above for instructions for how to enter the flashpoint in the story line, and how to enter it in Solo (Story) mode, Veteran mode, and Master mode by faction.

Story – Republic Instructions

Requirements: To play the Korriban Incursion Flashpoint in the story, and receive all the special cutscenes related to the Flashpoint in the story, you will need to be level 53+ and on the correct step of the Forged Alliances / Prelude: Shadow of Revan storyline. If you are below this level, or not on the correct quest step, you can not play the story quest for this Flashpoint. *** BUG? At the moment, as of Update 7.7.1 to start the Prelude: Shadow of Revan, you must have first completed your Class Story, the Ilum Prelude, and the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion. Before that, you just needed to be the right level. It is unclear if this is a permanent change or not.

Timeline: In the story, this Flashpoint takes place specifically as part of the Shadow of Revan expansion, in the section called the Prelude, which is technically before the expansion.

Bring a Friend: If you want to bring a friend along for this Flashpoint in Story Mode to do the full story line, you easily can.
If they have not done the Korriban Incursion storyline / Shadow of Revan Prelude / Forged Alliances storyline, they can join you in a group and you can follow the exact same steps together as long as they are level 53+.
If they have already run the storyline, they’ll be able to join you in the cutscenes after talking to the first droid, by walking in the door for the Colonel Daroks quest. Then after you finish that cutscene with them watching, you’ll be able to enter the Flashpoint, but your friend won’t have any quests so they can’t walk in behind you… tell them to go talk to the nearby P6-K4 droid and pick up the [Start Story Mode] quest and then they will be able to enter the Flashpoint with you.
They can also use the Solo tab in the Activity Finder to quickly join you once you are already inside the Flashpoint as long as they are level 53+.

Directions to the Republic Story Quest for Korriban Incursion: This is the first Flashpoint of the Prelude: Shadow of Revan, after speaking to Colonel Darok. If you have not started the Shadow of Revan Prelude quests / the Forged Alliances quest, here is how to start the Prelude: Shadow of Revan quest.
Step 1 – Speak to the Prelude to Shadow of Revan questgiver droid named T3-G2, located near the eastern elevator of the Republic Fleet, with a purple triangle quest marker over its head.
Step 2 – You will have started the Shadow of Revan: Prelude quest, and this droid will lead you to Colonel Darok for an explanation of what is going on in the story through the quest Complete “Forged Alliances: Part I”. To get to him, you will need to talk the Outbound Mission Hangar elevator located on the far east elevator of the Republic Fleet. The elevator is very close to T3-G2.
Step 3 – Follow the quest markers to speak to Colonel Darok in the green door – don’t worry about the other Flashpoint questgivers yet.

Speak to Colonel Darok – this is also the first time you will meet Theron Shan.

Step 4 – Head out outside and in the south go to the entrance for Korriban Incursion and run inside to start the Flashpoint as part of “Forged Alliances: Part I”.

If you play in Story Mode, you will also get a Combat Support Droid to help you.

If you lose him, you can re-summon him by left-clicking the blue symbol beside the Korriban Incursion quest.

If you can’t see that icon, you can also right-click the item in the Mission Items tab of your inventory.

Is the Activate Combat support Droid missing from both your quest tracker and your inventory? If you also had a different story mode Flashpoint in your quest tracker, and dropped while playing your current Flashpoint, it can sometimes accidentally delete the droid from both your abandoned Flashpoint and the one you are currently on. You would need to leave the Flashpoint, abandon the [STORY] quest in your quest log, pick it back up again, then start the Flashpoint over again. If you are partway through, you may choose instead to just complete the Flashpoint without the droid by your side helping, if you don’t want to reset it.
The quest Forged Alliances: Part I will reward you with two special rewards once you have completed both Flashpoints – 1 Recovered Relic which you can use to buy Flashpoint rewards (see Rewards section), and a Republic Assault HK Customization.

Story Progress: [STORY] Korriban Incursion alone will not progress your storyline – it is simply the repeatable solo version. To work on the overarching story, you also need to be on the quest Forged Alliances: Part I on the step Complete Flashpoint: Korriban Incursion and then run the [STORY] Flashpoint: Korriban Incursion quest.

Lost the quest? If you lost the Prelude: Shadow of Revan / Forge Alliances quest, head back to the T3-G2 Droid you started at to re-pick up the quest. Keep in mind this story-based introductory quest Colonel Darok is one-time-per-character. If you lost the ability to walk into the Flashpoint door, or lost the quest with the word Flashpoint in it, you can pick up the [STORY] Flashpoint: Korriban Incursion quest from the P6-K4 Droid outside the flashpoint’s entrance.

Bosses
This Flashpoint has three boss fights – they are essentially the same on each sides, but with different names – Lord Renning, I5-T1 Fortification Droid and Darth Soverus if you are on a Republic character, and then Master Riilna, R9-XR Siege Droid and Commander Jensyn for Imperial characters. In Master Mode, there is also a bonus boss named the Imperial Commander for Republic players, and Republic Commander for Imperial players..
In story mode, and in Veteran Mode when you have multiple players you can use the medpacs scattered around the bosses. Right-click them to heal yourself.

Ground Force Commanders
The Ground Force Commanders are not technically considered a boss, but they are four stronger bosses scattered around the Flashpoint that you need to fight. They are the in the same place Republic / Imperial side, but have different names.
Lord Renning / Master Riilna
The second boss is Lord Renning if you are on the Republic side, or Master Riilna on the Imperial side, but it is the same fight on both sides.

If you are struggling with this fight, focus on defeating his beasts first.

Elevators
The elevators right after Lord Renning are a bit weird.
The first elevator is a standard elevator you walk onto then wait until it goes up.

The second elevator is a blue button you right-click to go up the Freight Elevator.

Upstairs after the first boss is a cutscene that when playing outside of the groupfinder, you speak to Lieutenant Bickell or Sergeant Tarsten and you are given a light or dark choice to make. If you choose to have the prisoners help you, they will follow you into battle.

I5-T1 Fortification Droid / R9-XR Siege Droid

The second boss is I5-T1 Fortification Droid on Republic side, or R9-XR on Imperial side, but it is the same fight.
You’ll need to move out of the red circles he puts on the ground.

After the fight, shut down the laser gate by right-clicking the small blue terminal in front of the red laser gate.

Darth Soverus / Commander Jensyn

Darth Soverus is the final boss if you are Republic side, or Commander Jenysyn if you are Imperial side, but they are the same fight.
Watch your feet for the red circles.

After the fight, click the terminal to secure the Sith Academy.

To exit, right-click the glowing blue pillar or use the EXIT AREA button.

Stealth – once you fight the robot you can skip stealth all the way to the temple and the masters with the the code fragments.
Master Mode: In Master Mod,e the fight is mostly the same except if you see a friend getting zapped by an Interrogation Droid, make sure to go free them by killing the droid. Leave the Malfunctioning droids alone and avoid their red circles.

Bonus Boss – Imperial Commander / Republic Commander (Master Mode Only)

In Master Mode, there is a bonus quest called Wipe Them Out – you start by defeating Opposing Forces on Korriban in the flashpoint, then get to fight the commander. The Commander will be located past the second boss, before you go into the Korriban main temple and will be marked on the map. He doesn’t have any special mechanics, but he does have a Force Push, so be careful about being near the edge – most groups drag him off his platform for safety first!
Skips
What follows are a quick gallery of images depicting specific walking routes that may save you some time by avoiding enemies during the flashpoint – certain routes will be highlited as the main “community routes” that you’ll probably see players in random activity-finder groups try to do – if you only practice one skip out of all of these, make it the community one! All of the following images are done without stealth or without a sleep dart/mind maze from a stealth character, so anyone can attempt them. If you fail to slip by unnoticed or see your team has attacked the enemies – always pull back from these routes and go back to help them defeat them! These may save time if everyone does them, but nothing makes a flashpoint slower than running ahead and not helping others to get out of combat again.
Solo Stealth: If you are playing Korriban Incursion alone and are on a Stealth character, you can skip many of the enemies.
Skip #1

You can choose how far up the cliffside you jump down at the very start of the flashpoint – you may see players will hop down on the right-hand side to get around this first pack. Remember to turn right around the stone wall because you’ll have to fight the commanders to move on, and one hides right around the corner in the image.
Skip #2 – Community Skip

After you’ve defeated 3/4 commander groups, hug this left wall to skip a group on the way to the 4th commander. You’ll see lots of groups do this one, usually mounted.
Skip #3

After the first boss, clear out the commandos and decide the fate of the prisoners. Once done, you can exit this plateau using the platform on the right instead of fighting the tougher sith (or jedi!) pack on the intended road. You’ll drop near some K’lor’slugs, and in the image above it may look impossible to avoid them, but you have a lot of open ground to use and can simply run right of the crashed ship part to head to the 2nd boss. Depending on the difficulty you may want to pull and defeat the slugs anyway to make room for the boss fight – fighting the slugs is still faster than fighting the gold and silver enemies we skipped.
Skip #4

I so rarely see this one done but it does skip a good 30 seconds or more of fighting. As you come out of the sith stone ruins between boss 2 and the Academy, hop up on the stone to your right before engaging the large group of enemies at the entrance to the Academy. Run under the tank trap, out and around the destroyed taxi platform, and then run behind a stone pillar up onto the ramp into the Academy. Don’t try sneaking TOO far back – if you go past the taxi sign in the image you’re going too many pillars back. After this skip, you’ll see that sith architects really went for maximum carnage – the hallways are way too narrow to skip any enemies, so without stealth, you’ll be fighting from here on.
Rewards
In addition to the usual rewards of XP, credits, gear and end-game currency, Korriban Incursion has the following rewards available.
Statue of the Ancient Slave Decoration
The Statue of the Ancient Slave decoration is an automatic reward for completing the repeatable solo-friendly [STORY] mode, picked up through the Activity Finder. It can also be bought and sold on the GTN.
Recovered Relics Vendor
The Korriban Incursion and Assault on Tython Flashpoints have a bunch of unique rewards. Some of the rewards are random drops, but others are purchased with Recovered Relics, an item used as a currency at the Flashpoint Vendor outside the entrance to the Flashpoints.

Recovered Relics used to drop regularly within the two Flashpoints, but this broke somewhere along the way and they no longer drop. The only reliable way to get these now is through the one-time quests, Forged Alliances: Part I and Forged Alliances: Part II which each award 2 Recovered Relics, and are part of the Shadow of Revan prelude expansion story.

Recovered Relics are not bound, and can often be found on the GTN for sale by other players.

Imperial Korrealis KL-9Z SE

The Imperial Korrealis KL-9Z SE (the blue one) is a rare drop mount. For the guide, I had originally written a long time ago that: The Imperial Korrealis KL-9Z SE drops from the Assault on Tython and Korriban Incursion on Imperial side only, and the Republic Korrealis KL-8A SE drops from the Assault on Tython and Korriban Incursion on Republic side only. It seems more likely to drop from Master Modes, but can even drop from story mode. BUT recently a player reported they got the Republic version on an Imperial character. So it might not be limited to certain factions.
Republic Korrealis KL-8A SE

Goldplate Mewvorr

The Goldplate Mewvorr is a rare drop from Assault on Tython / Korriban Incursion. It seems to be Bind on Equip, so you may be able to trade it between characters or buy and sell it on the GTN. Players reported you can even get the Mewvorr pets in solo / story mode.
Heartglow Mewvorr

The Heartglow Mewvorr is a rare drop from Assault on Tython / Korriban Incursion. It seems to be Bind on Equip, so you may be able to trade it between characters or buy and sell it on the GTN. Players reported you can even get the Mewvorr pets in solo / story mode.
Imperial Assault HK Customization
The one-time-per-character Imperial quest Forged Alliances: Part I will reward you with two special rewards once you have completed both Flashpoints – 1 Recovered Relic which you can use to buy Flashpoint rewards (see Rewards section), and a Imperial Assault HK Customization.

BA-2 Command Walker

The BA-2 Command Walker and KX-7 Command Walker both drop from the Assault on Tython, Korriban Incursion, Depths of Manaan, and Legacy of the Rakata Flashpoints. I have even seen a player report that it dropped from Battle of Rishi. The BA-2 Command Walker (white/red) seems to drop mostly Republic side, the KX-7 Command Walker (black) seems to drop mostly Imperial side, though a few players have reported they had both drop on the same faction. Players reported that they seemed to drop most often in the Assault on Tython Flashpoint on either faction.
KX-7 Command Walker

The BA-2 Command Walker and KX-7 Command Walker both drop from the Assault on Tython, Korriban Incursion, Depths of Manaan, and Legacy of the Rakata Flashpoints. I have even seen a player report that it dropped from Battle of Rishi. Codexes

You will earn these naturally just from running the Flashpoint.
Korriban’s Dark Draw (Republic-side)
For as long as the Republic has known of Korriban, the idea of capturing the Sith homeworld has been a major topic of discussion. Some believe it would mark a major turning point in the war against the Empire. Others, however, share a grave concern that prolonged habitation on the planet would cause its occupiers to be drawn to the dark side of the Force.
A group of Jedi once encamped upon one of Korriban’s seven moons with the aim of lessening the planet’s intense dark side aura through meditation, but the call of the dark side overcame every last one of them in time. The group defected to the Empire, and have since been linked to the deaths of hundreds of Republic soldiers and civilians, as well as several Jedi.
Taking the Sith Academy (Republic-side)
To disrupt the path of Sith apprentices hoping to one day become Dark Lords, even if it’s for a moment, would be seen as a victory to many. But the true value of capturing the Sith Academy lies within the restricted halls and chambers of the Dark Council.
Though Sith are known to destroy sources of information in order to obfuscate the truth, the Emperor had accumulated a vast repository of arcane and taboo knowledge which is now believed to be curated by the Dark Council. This “dark library” could potentially be used to serve the Republic’s interests instead of the Empire’s–if administered with great caution.
Republic Occupation of Korriban (Imperial-side)
Though Korriban has only been reclaimed as home of the Sith Order in recent decades, its rich ties to the Empire reach back thousands of years. For Republic forces to set foot on the planet, let alone capture the Sith Academy and Dark Council Chambers, is a great indignity to the Empire’s leadership.
It has been reported that, upon hearing the news, Darth Marr ordered the full destruction of the nearest Republic-friendly space station. While this claim remains unsubstantiated, it does correctly illustrate the enduring rage felt by many across the galaxy. Even if the Sith Academy is wrested from Republic control, it may never again be regarded with the same pride it once was.
Cutscenes
There is a lot of fun dialogue in Assault on Tython, I’ve combined it below for you.
Republic
Theron speaking to you over the comlink:
Theron Shan: Theron to wave two. Welcome to Korriban. You’ll need to traverse the Walls up ahead to reach the Sith Academy. Wave one managed to soften the Imps up a bit, but you’ve still got your work cut out for you. Good luck.
Theron Shan: Imperial defenders have a barricade up ahead. There’s no time to go around–you’ll have to break through. The Sith Academy isn’t far now. Keep it up.
Theron Shan: The Dark Council chambers are on the upper levels. You’ll need to access the main elevator to reach them. We don’t have much intel on the upper-level defenses-be ready for some heavy opposition.
Lieutenant Bickell cutscene:

Slave: Please! You have to get us out of here!
Lieutenant Bickell: Look, I’m sorry, okay? That’s not why we’re here. Just… just try to keep your heads down, all right?
Player: What’s going on here?
Lieutenant Bickell: Slaves. Whole mess of ’em. I wish we could do something, but this op is strictly smash-and-grab. Pulling them out puts the whole mission in danger.
Player (light-side choice): We can’t leave them behind. Do whatever it takes–just get them out of here.
Lieutenant Bickell: Whatever you say….
Slave: Thank you, thank you!
Player (dark-side choice): If they want their freedom, let them fight for it.
Player: The battle has already started–if you don’t want to be slaves, then find some weapons and join us!
Lieutenant Bickell: They aren’t gonna last long out there….
Slave: At least it’s a chance! Come on, let’s go!
Dark Council Chambers:

Darth Soverus: Only the greatest of all Sith are permitted to set foot in these chambers. You profane our entire history by your presence alone. Did you believe you could breach the chambers of the Dark Council and go unpunished? That you could steal our great works without challenge?
Player: The Sith have no “great works.” Your legacy is nothing but centuries of violence and hatred.
Darth Soverus: Your mind is closed-tightly. Allow me to open it for you.
During the fight:

- Darth Soverus: You will die here!
- Darth Soverus: Submit! It is the only way!
- Darth Soverus: You should never have come here!
- Darth Soverus: Death is your only escape!
- Darth Soverus: Only the greatest Sith may walk these chambers!
- Darth Soverus: Resistance will only prolong your suffering!
- Darth Soverus: This is what the Republic sends against the Dark Council? Pathetic!
- Darth Soverus: Such unworthy opposition.
- Darth Soverus: Why do you fight when you cannot win?
- Darth Soverus: You lash out feebly. Like a child.
- Darth Soverus: I’ve faced training droids with greater skill.
- Darth Soverus: The power of the dark side is infinite!
- Darth Soverus: Now witness true strength!
- Darth Soverus: Your death is at hand!
- Darth Soverus: No… impossible!
After the fight, Republic-side:

Darth Soverus: No… the vision… How could the time come so soon? Of course… you are not the one who kills me. You’re only clearing the way for him. I face my fate gladly, Jedi. The old man was right about me–was he right about you, too?
Commander Jensyn: A member of the Dark Council could have been a valuable prisoner. Pity. [Jensyn kills Sovran.]
Player: He could barely move, and you strike him down? That’s not our way, Jensyn.
Commander Jensyn: He raised his weapon. I don’t take chances with Sith.
Player: The Sith seemed to recognize you, Jensyn–something about a vision. Do you know what that was all about?
Commander Jensyn: I’m afraid not. But the Dark Council is full of deceivers and madmen–he could have been either. Or both. The words of a Sith are rarely worth hearing.
Commander Jensyn: Your part of the mission is done. My team will hold the academy while I search these chambers along with a few technical specialists. Take the data and get back to Colonel Darok while the path is still clear.
Player: I will. May the Force be with you, Commander.

Imperial
Lana speaking to you over the comlink:
Lana Beniko: “This is Lana Beniko. Not the greatest position, I know, but the Lower Wilds is as close to the Sith Academy as our team could manage.”
Lana Beniko: “The Republic’s pulled out all the stops with this invasion, but we fully expect your retaliation to surpass their efforts.”
Lana Beniko: “Fight your way up to the Valley of the Dark Lords and reclaim the Sith Academy. Spare no one.”
Lana Beniko: “I’ve received word from Sergeant Tarsten on the ground. It appears your arrival hasn’t gone unnoticed.”
Lana Beniko: “A Republic barricade has just been fashioned to bar your progress. While hastily constructed, it is formidable—but we have every faith in you.”
Lana Beniko: “I don’t envy you right now. I don’t know what I’d do if I saw the academy in the enemy’s hands.”
Lana Beniko: “Encrypted transmissions have been traced back to the Dark Council Chambers. That must be where Republic command is operating from.”
Lana Beniko: “We hope you don’t find any Dark Council members up there. Captured or dead: either would constitute a gross humiliation.”
Sergeant Tarsten cutscene:

Player: What is it this time, Sergeant?
Sergeant Tarsten: These Sith apprentices were holed up in a medical supply storeroom. Sergeant Tarsten: They’re injured–some of them seriously–but they’re able to walk, at least. Your orders?
Player (dark-side choice): I don’t care if you’re armed with vibroblades, blasters or raw knuckles. You will earn the right to go on living.
Sergeant Tarsten: You all heard her. Time to prove your worth! To arms!
Player (light-side choice): They’re in no shape to fight. Find them someplace where they can recover.
Sergeant Tarsten: Yes, of course. I’ll see to it personally. Move out, cowards! Now!
In the Dark Council Chambers, Imperial-side:

Commander Jensyn: They’ve breached the front entrance. It’s only a matter of time. Be ready.
Player: Jedi. You befoul the Dark Council with your presence.
Commander Jensyn: This place was already foul. But don’t worry, Sith; I have no intention of staying.
Player: It’s been conveyed to me that you shouldn’t be allowed to leave–not alive, at any rate.
Commander Jensyn: Press the attack!
Commander Jensyn: The Sith Academy–disgusting!
Commander Jensyn: The Empire won’t even know what hit it!
Commander Jensyn: I’m not only a Jedi–I’m a soldier!
Commander Jensyn: I fight for something greater than myself!
Commander Jensyn: This fight was inevitable!
Commander Jensyn: I know more than a few tricks!
Commander Jensyn: Enough sparring!
Commander Jensyn: Did you really think you could take me?
Commander Jensyn: You don’t even have a clue, do you?
Commander Jensyn: It’s too late–we got what we came for!
Commander Jensyn: Thought this would be a memorable fight!
Commander Jensyn: You can’t win!
Commander Jensyn: Hardly impressive!
Commander Jensyn: You can’t… stop it….

Commander Jensyn: So it’s happening. I didn’t think I’d have served my purpose so soon.
Player: What are you going on about? What purpose?
Commander Jensyn: It’s happening. It’s all happening, and you can’t stop it….
Player: Tell me what you know!
Commander Jensyn: No point threatening a dead man, Sith….
Lana Beniko: “And with that, the Sith Academy is secure. I suppose saying ‘good work’ would constitute a gross understatement.”
Player: “This Jedi commander—he said some odd things….”
Lana Beniko: “I’m sure Darth Arkous would like to hear about it. He’s eager to offer up his congratulations in person.”
Lana Beniko: “You’ve really come through for the Empire. There is much for us to thank you for, and much yet to discuss; I hope we see you soon.”
