Don’t forget when reading the charts below that percentages are per-spin – that means, even if you have a 5% chance of winning something, it does not mean you will get your prize within 20 spins – you might get it the first time you spin, you might get it the 20th, or may still never win 100 spins later. All it means is if you have a 5% chance, every time you spin the machine, you have a one in twenty chance of winning.

A player named Turtle from Turtle’s Guides has dug through the game’s data and found some of the potential percentages related to the machines, and sent them to me with some nice notes “I made a handy spreadsheet for myself on the full breakdown of gambling wins and thought it might something you’d like sharing if you don’t already have it. The smuggler’s max bet adds up to 100.02, I don’t know why, probably because math is hard.”

What is the difference between Jackpot and Jackpot? We don’t know and can’t see that information in the game’s data, it is saved on the game’s server instead as loot packages. Instead, we know there is a list of items attached to Jackpot, and that Jackpot list seems to be duplicated and attached to both wins, so you can add them together and you’ll be winning a Jackpot about 1/5 of the time with both buffs. This might be due to past years having a different jackpot list in the second position, but this year they are the same. When you win a jackpot, the game randomly chooses between the items in that specific list – but the more items there are on the list, the less chance you’ll have of winning any specific items you are hoping for.
