SWTOR Fractured Uprising Guide

Fractured is an Uprising in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and is like a short, story-light Flashpoint with three bosses and a few surprises including the ability to bring a desert pet along for the fight. Fractured comes in three different difficulties: Story. Veteran, and Master, and is meant to be done with a group of four at level 70+.

If you are new to Uprisings, you may want to first visit the basic Uprisings Guide for tips about the quests to pick up before you go in. For the most part, you don’t really need a guide for Uprisings unless your group is struggling with a specific boss or you want to discover some secrets or achievements. Uprisings are meant to be very accessible and short, fun, run-and-gun missions. This Uprising is really interesting / strange – there’s no real bosses to fight until the final bosses at the very end!

How to Start

All Uprisings start at the glowing blue table in the Combat Training section of the Republic or Imperial Fleet. You can also enter the Groupfinder for Veteran Mode, just keep in mind if you filter for just Fractured, you won’t be eligible for the bonus groupfinder rewards for running a random Uprising.

Once you have picked up an Uprising, left-click the icon of a shuttle in your quest log to travel to the Uprising.

Difficulty Modes

  • Story Mode: Easiest mode, designed for four players but likely doable with 2 or more decent players in any roles and their companions.
    • Solo: I was able to solo this one in Story Mode on a well-geared character with a rank 50 companion but only up to the final boss, Lord Anvril, at the end, where there is a lot of enemies that swarm you at once. I was able to complete it solo on my tank to survive that damage, but it took forever.
  • Veteran Mode: Middle difficulty but not that much harder, designed for four players but likely doable with 2 or more decent players in any roles and their companions
  • Master Mode: Quite difficult mode, most groups will need a full four players, including 1 healer, 1 tank and 2 damage players. Very competent groups might be able to do it with 3 players and one companion. Your team should be decently geared, understand their class and role, and be ready to do some mechanics and stay out of bad stuff on the ground.

Fractured Power-Ups

While running Fractured, keep you eyes open for glowing blue crates with powerups inside. To open a crate, you can right-click it, then walk over the item it reveals.

Once you’re carrying a power-up, you’ll get a temporary ability to use it, and you can get up to one of each kind. These crates will be hidden throughout the Uprising.

Entrance

Right-click the green door to start the Uprising with your team.

On the other side of the hangar, there will be a blue terminal you need to get to, guarded by two battle droids. Right-click the blue terminal after fighting them to open the door to the hangar, which is the north of the room.

Get Past the Force Field

Right-click the glowing blue grapple hooks on a box up the stairs. Your whole team will need to be there and click it,

Defeat the enemies platform by platform, and right-click the glowing blue grappling hook to cross the platforms. They may not glow until you defeat all the enemies on the platform you are on.

On the final platform, look down, and right-click the glowing blue pad on the floor to get down. This step might be called “Unlock the Control Room Doors” and show green arrows pointing downwards. DO NOT just jump off the edge to get down.

Once down, right-click the glowing blue Security Terminal, then right-click the glowing blue computer nearby and the electric floor is disabled. Your whole team needs to click the second terminal together.

Bosses: Lord Anril and Major Korven

Lord Anril and Major Korven are back-to-back fights, and the only real bosses in the Uprising. As soon as you get near to the final room the fight will start. Defeat any smaller enemies you see first before focusing on the boss, before the fight and during it.

There are two medpacs near the entrance to the room in Story Mode and Veteran Mode. They will reset throughout both the fights if you need them.

Avoid Anril’s big red circle of Force Storm by stepping out of it, as it can hurt quite a bit.

Anril will leap to random players and smash them, but you can mostly ignore his smashing.

After you defeat Anril, Korven will fight you.

She will jump around the room – you can right-click the glowing blue grapple points around the inner circle to follow her quickly.

When she gets low on health, she has an attack called Exterminate which will knock you back – so make sure to put your back to a wall or you might get knocked off.

Master Mode Tips

  • Lord Anril is about the same in Master Mode, except he also summons some Dark Side Manifestations, and will be invulnerable until they are defeated.
  • In Master Mode, the second boss, Major Korven, will also put hexagons on the ground – once they turn red, stay out of them!
  • There are no medpacs in Master Mode.

To leave Fractured, use the Exit Area button after the final boss is complete or right-click the nearby glowing blue computer.

Story & Lore

Lana Beniko: “I’ve discovered a dangerous rogue faction within Sith Intelligence, led by a former Imperial Cipher and a powerful Sith Lord. Major Korven and Lord Anril are launching devastating attacks on Alliance settlements. By striking us, they’re attempting to reclaim the glory days of the Sith Empire. We’ve tracked their operations to Vanguard Station. Board the facility and end this threat.”

Major Korven: “You found us, Commander. Aren’t you a clever one?”
Lord Anril: “I knew you would come. Your kind are smug and predictable.”
Major Korven: “Doesn’t mean we can’t be hospitable. Tell us, Commander… how would you like to die?”

Major Korven: “You have friends on those bases we destroyed? Loved ones? Loss is a terrible thing.”
Lord Anril: “They were weak. Vermin must be stamped out!”

Major Korven: “Such a shame, Commander. You have so much power and not a clue what to do with it.”
Lord Anril: “Scum has no imagination.”

Lord Anril: “Your Alliance is made of filth. It will fall-and so will you!”
Major Korven: “I’m afraid Lord Anril’s right. It’s almost time for you to say goodbye.” Major Korven: “Don’t worry, we’ll make your end nice and quick.”

Major Korven: “No… This wasn’t the plan…”

Lana Beniko: “Excellent job, Commander. Our allies can breathe safely knowing they’re no longer the target of lunatics. With Lord Anril and Major Korven out of the picture, we can once again rally others to our cause. You proved today that we protect our own. The galaxy won’t soon forget this.”
