What can you do with Cartel Market Certificates in SWTOR?

Cartel Market Certificates are a rare type of currency in Star Wars: The Old Republic that can be used to purchase some rare armors, mounts and decorations without having to pay Cartel Coins. There are 170 different items you can purchase with Cartel Market Certificates. Most of the items also require Underworld Exchange reputation, but if you do not have any of that, there are also a bunch of decorations that have no requirements except the correct amount of Cartel Market Certificates.

Acquiring Cartel Market Certificates can be a pain – they are quite rare, and all methods of getting them are random-chance based. I’ve put together a guide about How to Get Cartel Market Certificates on a different page.

Cartel Market Certificate Armors

These armor sets are similar to most Cartel Market armors and they have “normal” Cartel Market versions that can be bought and sold by other players on the GTN, found in Cartel Packs through random chance, and sometimes found on the cartel Market for direct sale. These specific armors can also be found as a special reward from the Underworld Exchange reputation vendors located in the Cartel Bazaar section of the Republic or Imperial Fleet. To purchase them, you will need the listed number of Cartel Market Certificates and credits, as well as the Underworld Exchange Reputation rank to go with them. Be aware that for some reason, items purchased this way do not always unlock properly in Collections.

These crystals are similar to most Cartel Market crystals and they have a “normal” Cartel Market version that can be bought and sold by other players on the GTN, found in Cartel Packs through random chance, and sometimes found on the cartel Market for direct sale. These specific crystals can also be found as a special reward from the Underworld Exchange reputation vendors located in the Cartel Bazaar section of the Republic or Imperial Fleet. To purchase them, you will need the listed number of Cartel Market Certificates and credits, as well as the Underworld Exchange Reputation rank to go with them. Be aware that for some reason, items purchased this way do not always unlock properly in Collections.

Cartel Market Certificate Dyes

These dyes are similar to most Cartel Market dyes and they have “normal” Cartel Market versions that can be bought and sold by other players on the GTN, found in Cartel Packs through random chance, and sometimes found on the cartel Market for direct sale. These specific dyes can also be found as a special reward from the Underworld Exchange reputation vendors located in the Cartel Bazaar section of the Republic or Imperial Fleet. Players often suggest purchasing the Black dye modules this way! Like all Dyes, these dyes are one-us and not in collections.

You will only receive one copy, so if you want more than one, you’ll need to purchase more than one.

There is also 26 decorations from the the Cartel Market Certificate vendor, who is found on the fleet in the Strongholds & Crew Skills section of the Fleet, near where you can purchase decorations for credits and where you can buy your stronghold. These Cartel Market Certificate decorations are similar to most Cartel Market decorations and they have “normal” Cartel Market versions that can be bought and sold by other players on the GTN, found in Cartel Packs through random chance, and sometimes found on the cartel Market for direct sale. You will only receive one copy, so if you want more than one, you’ll need to purchase more than one.
