Cartel Market Certificate Rewards Guide

1. Cartel Market Certificates from Ultimate Cartel Packs

The simplest way to get Cartel Market Certificates is by opening up Ultimate Cartel Packs. Cartel Packs contain a random assortment of Cartel Market items, and that includes Cartel Market Certificates.

Unfortunately, the drop rate is very low. Whether you get one is up to random chance, but the odds may be as low as 1 Cartel Market Certificate in every 30 packs you open. Because of this extremely low drop chance, it is almost always better to check the GTN directly for the item you want to use your Cartel Market Certificates for, and buy it directly, rather than buying packs to open and hoping you get a Cartel Market Certificate.

2. Cartel Market Certificates from the Nightlife Event

The more common way to get Cartel Market Certificates is from the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife Event – but it only takes place once a year for a few weeks, usually in the summer. While the Nightlife Event is running, you have a small chance of winning Cartel Market Certificates from the purple Kingpin’s Bounty Slot Machine or a chance of winning 1 or 2 Cartel Market Certificates from the golden Hutt Emperor’s Slot Machine. Most players do not specifically play the slot machines to win Cartel Market Certificates, but they are a fun byproduct of playing the event machines.

3. Cartel Market Certificates from the Contraband Slot Machine

If you can find a Stronghold or Guild Flagship that has the Contraband Slot Machine Decoration in it, you can “play” it to win reputation items for the Underworld Exchange reputation track. This decoration also has a rare chance of dropping Cartel Market Certificates – these used to drop more commonly, but the rate was reduced to a very low chance a long time ago. If you don’t have one of these slot machine decorations, check the publicly listed strongholds in the Strongholds & Crew Skills sections of the fleet and rich players may have one publicly available. During the limited-time Nightlife Casino event, you can play non-decoration slot machines and win Cartel Market Certificates as part of the event.

4. Login Rewards

For every day that you log in to the game, you go up one level on the Login Rewards track. The tracks cycle through three different Calendars as you log in over time. All three Calendars have 5 Cartel Certificates on the 24th day you log in to them. To claim them, click the Claim button on the 24th day, or they will be delivered to your mailbox on one of your characters if you forget to claim them.

5. Old Cartel Packs that Contain Cartel Market Certificates

In the past a long time ago, Cartel Market Certificates only came out of certain cartel packs via random chance. Eventually, the developers stopped making individually-named packs, and started selling just the Ultimate Cartel Packs, which are a general type of Cartel Pack, which is mentioned above.

You will still occasionally find these older Cartel Packs from players who bought them back in the day, and they might have a Cartel Market Certificate in them. Cartel Market Certificates were not found at all in the first shipment of cartel packs or the nightlife packs.
