Liberator of Ilum! Champion Achievement Guide

This guide will go over over the Liberator of Ilum! achievement in Star Wars: The Old Republic, which requires you to have defeated all Imperial opponents of Elite difficulty on Ilum.

The achievement can be found in your Achievements section under: Location → Ilum → The Empire.

Liberator of Ilum Map

Infantry Commander Ardot

Head north from the republic base camp and pass by the ice lake with lots of friendly troops. Follow the road east to the large standoff between republic and imperials outside a jedi temple – Commander Ardot is a champion level enemy standing alone at the steps of the temple – at the very back.

Sith Monitor

From the republic waystation, head into the western jedi ruins and northeast again to the imperial waystation. The sith monitor is a champion level enemy standing directly in the center of the waystation, on top of the imperial medcenter/med droid.

Imperial Armsmaster

This enemy will be located in a locked phase only available during the Republic’s main Ilum storyline. It is in the bunker containing a sith’s apprentice that you assault. If you miss it you will have to try again on a different character or follow someone in.

Imperial Infantry Captain

Head north from the republic base camp and pass by the ice lake with lots of friendly troops. Follow the road east to the large standoff between republic and imperials outside a jedi temple – The Captain is hiding on the right hand side of the road, past the frontline of imperial droids.

Imperial Major

From the republic waystation, head into the western jedi ruins and northeast again to the imperial waystation. There are two Majors, one is standing on the ice just outside the start of the waystations metal flooring (towards the south end) and another is standing by himself at the front of the building nestled in the back.

Imperial Mine Captain

This target is located inside one of the adegan crystal caves you will enter during the republic Ilum storyline – behind a phased instance. If you miss him you will need to do it again on a new character or follow someone in.

Imperial Officer

Head north from the Republic Base Camp to the yellow matrix shard’s location. The imperial officer is a gold level enemy taking cover just north of the road next to the building.

Sith Defender

This elite guards the entrance to the imperial prison that is a main location of the Ilum Republic Storyline. Without the mission to guide you, simply start at the republic base camp and follow the thin dotted road on your map to the south.

Sith Duelist

Head to the heroic area just south of the Republic Base Camp’s shuttle. There is usually one elite duelist per “pack” of enemies.

Closest Travel: Darkness on Ilum Heroic Shuttle

Sith Master

Head to the heroic area south of the Republic Base Camp’s shuttle but stick to the ice wall on your left. An Elite Sith Master stands alone on a snowy hill.

Imperial Artillery Droid (Champion)

This champion level guard of the Imperial Base is located very near the yellow matrix shard, patrolling the outside of the Base. One walks the west side, and another patrols the north. Both can be pulled safely without getting extra. Note this is different than the gold-level droid that will spawn when you attack humanoid guards in the Base proper.

Imperial Artillery Droid (Elite)

This gold-level droid is a separate objective from the champion one of the same name – by default only champion-level artillery droids will populate the imperial base. Attack some of the humanoid imperial guards in the outdoor area and a single, weaker elite droid will spawn to defend them.

Imperial Assault Droid

From the republic waystation, head into the western jedi ruins and northeast again to the imperial waystation. There are many assaults droids all across the south and eastern edges of the waystation.

Imperial Reclamation Droid

This big droid is just northeast of the Republic Waystation – head along the road and look north to see him just under the large metal wall, surrounded by human Reclamation troops.
