The Ziost dailies are a set of missions picked up at the Barren Outpost after landing from the GSI Orbital Station that you can repeat to earn unique rewards and explore some interesting exploration quests in a haunting environment. Ziost takes place at the end of Shadow of Revan, and before the start of the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion. In terms of daily areas, it is between Yavin IV and Odessen in the order.

Note: the Ziost daily area looks much different (for story reasons) compared to the initial area visited during the Shadow of Revan story. The entire area has a sort of greyscale, low-saturation filter over it. It is not just your PC!
Thank you player Zahk for all your help on this guide to make it easier for other players to find the quest objectives!
How to Start
Chronological Start: Ziost’s dailies naturally fall into the story after the planet of Yavin 4, as the Ziost story is the finale to to the Shadow of Revan expansion. Ziost can only be started by players who have fully completed the Shadow of Revan expansion storyline, and is accessed through the glowing blue terminal on your ship at level 60 or higher.
Early on Other Characters: You can run Ziost even if you are not caught up on the story, as long as you have it unlocked through your Legacy and are level 60. The planet’s level-down-sync is also 60.
How to Get There: You can head to Ziost via either travelling directly in your ship, or by Accepting the Daily Area: Ziost weekly mission from the Solo Tab of the activities finder (icon of ‘three little people’ near your minimap).

Ziost Memory Holographs / Reputation
Reputation is a way of gaining favor with different groups by completing missions for them. As you level up your reputation rank, more rewards for that reputation track become available. Reputation is shared by all your characters on your server, so it’s legacy-wide. Ziost does not have a Reputation track, unlike many of the other daily areas in the game.

Your progress and your rewards are only gated by how many Ziost Memory Holographs you have, a type of legacy-wide currency, earned from running Ziost missions. By using multiple characters, you won’t be limited to how many Ziost missions you can run. There is no cap on how many Ziost Memory Holographs you can earn per week.
Other Rewards
Depending on your level when completing a Ziost mission, there are also some additional rewards tied to some; exactly what per mission is on a table down below!
Conquest Commendations (at max-level, [DAILY] missions give 3 each, [WEEKLY] gives 50): Conquest Commendations will be awarded for most Planetary Repeatables. It’s used to upgrade virtually every track of gear upgrade, in varying amounts.
Tech Fragments (at max-level, [DAILY] missions give 30 each): Tech Fragments are an endgame currency used to buy Legendary Implants, Tacticals, materials for the best Augments in the game, and some older/cosmetic armors.
Conquest Gear Piece: at max-level, the Weekly mission will award a Conquest Gear Box in addition. These have a minimum item level of 324, and are green quality.
Ziost Memory Holograph: Memory Holos are the currency for Ziost daily rewards. Each daily will award one, the weekly will award 4, and completing the weekly Heart of Ruin op (along with the world boss) will award 6. This gives a total of 9 for just the daily area, or 15 a week per character if the Op Boss is also defeated.
Missions
[WEEKLY] Daily Area: Ziost
Complete all of these 5 quests on Ziost:
- [DAILY] Death of a World
- [DAILY] Looking for Signs
- [DAILY] From Ashes
- [DAILY] Eyes into the Past
- [DAILY] Dead Pulse
[DAILY] Death of a World

Tips:
- This daily is begun from a pair of Used Macrobinoculars seen in the image above, between your landing shuttle and the daily terminal.
- This is a standard macrobinocular mission that involves zero combat, use the item next to your tracked quest to look around at any yellow-blue objects visible from the location and angle dictated by the radar symbols on your map and click them to scan.
- Leaving the landing zone and jumping onto some black rocks just before the crashed vehicle gives you a good vantage point to scan three objects in one go, leaving just the northernmost and southernmost scans.
- The northernmost scan can be completed as early up the path as the “Eyes into the Past” daily datapad on the road. Stand next to it on the road and aim up at the large building in the northern distance.
- Similarly, you can scan the southernmost object as early as the “Dead Pulse” daily pickup area – stand on top the flat rock divider on the staircase leading to the crashed ship and scan the building south of you.
[DAILY] Looking for Signs

Tips:
- This daily is acquired from the Crashed Orbital Recon Probe, directly left of the daily terminal near the shuttle landing zone, or at the Daily Terminal itself.
- The probes you are looking to interact with can be quite hard to see due to the color filter on Ziost, making the blue interaction texture less contrasted.
- In short, there are two kinds of craters that constantly pop up across the landscape as you explore the surface – larger craters with a sort of magic swirling of force energy leaving the planet, and slightly small impact craters with more natural smoke drifting up from it – these ones have the tiny little probe feet sticking up out of them that you can click to loot, and are shown in the image above.
- The action of looting will wake up the probe and activate it’s self defense, it is a standard gold-level enemy that stuns you upon popping out of the ground initially but otherwise doesn’t prove an especially unique fight. Loot it for the core.
- Sometimes, champion-level unique probes will be woken up that use a few extra cleave attacks and self-destruct at low health. This is uninterruptable and you can simply stand outside the radius and wait for it to die. These typically award an achievement associated with destroying the specific droid!
- Once all four cores are gathered, simply use the new item that pops up next to your tracked mission and it will complete.
[DAILY] From Ashes
Tips:
- This daily is acquired from the Daily Terminal across from you when landing on Ziost.
- All you need to do is run around Ziost and find the glowing blue bodies and right-click them.
- Not all of them will count, but they’re pretty quick to find, just travel along the path to the north keeping your eyes open for blue bodies.
[DAILY] Eyes into the Past

Tips:
- This daily mission is acquired from a datapad outside of a phased ruin southeast of the Heart of Ruin Operation door, and directly north of the Barren Outpost.
- Once you grab the datapad, head inside the now green phase and get up the path to a ruin with abandoned survey equipment north of the entrance. You should find a stationary droid and a glowing blue power cell next to it, like in the image above.
- Interacting with the droid initially will result in it saying it needs more power – grab the power cell and use it while targeting the droid to power it up – then walk directly over the droid to get it to start following you. A power cell keeps it running for about 2 minutes.
- Your objective will update to 5 different search locations in the phase – along the way to each there’s usually a power cell hiding amongst the wreckage you can take to refresh your droid (you’ll get a warning it’s low on power in the last 30 seconds, install them then and keep moving and you shouldn’t run out).
- The first scan is in the same place as the droid, just across the room – a square foundation that probably held a statue before. It’ll turn blue and interactable looking when you mouse over it, as will all the rest. The search radius on the map is very tiny so walk directly over it and start mousing over the wreckage around you to see which needs to be scanned. Note that the droid may project a bunch of holographic stuff like walls and statues – don’t pay attention to these, they’re never interactable so don’t let em distract you.
- The second scan is the collapsed pillar you’ll use as a bridge to go south – the next three are all up a steep ramp leading to the cliffs in the south, some shards on the floor, a broken sculpture, and some wall ruins near the eastern balcony of the cliffs.
- Once all five are scanned you’ll have to upload to the projector, this will be back down the ramp but NOT back across the pillar-bridge. Turn east and head to this open flat area, you’ll see a gold level droid protecting the projector. It has a sustained damaging attack that it will use on you, but it can’t be interrupted the usual way – use a hard stun to knock it out of the channel if you need to.
- Give your droid the last bit of powercell juice for the road if needed, and then have it interact with the projector terminal. Many holographic images will appear for a bit, then the droid will heroicly explode and you should be good to hand in the mission.
[DAILY] Dead Pulse

Tips:
- This daily is acquired by heading to the far southwest corner of Ziost’s map, on a datapad in the rubble of a crashed ship.
- The image above helps determine where to start as that’s likely the hardest part of the mission – once picked up, you are to right click and repair a speeder under some rubble directly across from the datapad.
- This will put you on the speeder and start a timer to scan pulses near fissures across Ziost, but theres no need to panic. The timer is very generous and where to go is extremely clear.
- As soon as you start, turn north, likely where you came from, and you’ll see big green arrows on the pillar thats formed a ramp nearby. Driving onto these green arrows will launch the speeder forwards and ahead. Simply follow all the green markers in order and you will automatically scan the fissures as you ride past them. The timer is generous enough that you can come to a full stop at every green arrow, turn until you see the next one, and then drive towards it, and never imperil your chances of completing the mission.
- You’ll know you are done when you do a sick kickflip and crash the bike at the end. The timer will still run for a few seconds but don’t worry, you’ve done well and it will complete very shortly.
[WEEKLY] Heart of Ruin / Colossal Monolith single-boss Operation
This weekly is acquired from the main mission terminal across from your shuttle upon landing on Ziost.
Tips:
- This weekly awards 6 Holos, and requires you to defeat both the Monolith world boss in the northwest area of Ziost, and the Heart of Ruin operation boss located in the north.
Rewards
All the Ziost rewards require Ziost reputation and credits, so you can easily earn them by running daily and weekly quests on Ziost. The Ziost Heritage Vendor + Ziost Equipment Vendor on the space station above Ziost named Teeana sells the decorations and mount, Denth sells the armor rewards. If you used the solo tab to get to Ziost, you’ll need to take the shuttle back up to the Orbital station to see the vendor – you can also use the quick travel to get there.
