Are you the kind of player who enjoys finding every quest and secret in the game? This interactive map of the Kessan’s Landing on Ord Mantell has every point of interest marked so you can find your way around more easily in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Datacron

To get the secret Kessan’s Landing Ord Mantell datacron, you must complete a series of quests and solve a series of puzzles introduced with Update 7.4.

Geothermal Shielding is a set of “secret” quests on the Kessan’s Landing area of Ord Mantell. Once completed, you get use of the Geothermal Shield Unit, which lets you explore areas of Kessan’s Landing on Ord Mantell you might not otherwise be able to safely walk through. Reputation Vendors

Although a shared reputation is nothing new, Kessan’s landing also uniquely shares a vendor – so both Republic and Imperials will come to the same guy here, north of the Ardak Point Quicktravel drop-off, to get their rewards for this planet.

World Boss

The FR3-D0M War Droid is a World Boss available to both factions.

Complete with flame-conals, Area of Effect attacks, and Damage over Time effects, the damage output from this boss can be more than the average. Check the link below for some footage of the fight from Kessan’s Launch.

Exploration Quests

Kessan’s Landing has a pretty straightforward story element including a compliment of daily missions and a few secrets, but if you want to see in-depth what each mission is, we have that documented!

Travel

Every planet has multiple ways to get around besides on foot or speeder – you can take the taxi points and fly around, the quick travel point which are an instant teleport, or the heroic shuttles / transports which are granted when you pick up heroic quests for the planet.

 Taxis are unlocked by default, you just need to find one taxi point and you can then ride to any of them on Alderaan.

Quick travel points are unlocked once you have walked near the quick travel point at least once. You can find your quick travel by pressing ‘p’ on your keyboard and going to the ‘General’ tab. You’ll need to explore Alderaan to unlock all of the quick travel points for future use on the planet.

  Heroic shuttles / transports are a unique way to travel that is offered to you if you pick up heroic quests, usually near the spaceport. They teleport you to directly outside where the heroic quest would start. You need to be the correct level to pick up a planet’s heroic quests to travel this way. Heroic quests can be shared with a friend.

Secrets

Geothermal Shielding

Geothermal Shielding is a long optional questline that will allow you to traverse lava without dying on the planet – this is required for the Lava Problems secret questline and Datacron.

Tidewracked

Clean Up Trash on Kessan’s Landing – Find 20 pieces of Tidewrecks on the beaches of Kessan’s Landing. They are scattered around and respawn over time. Just right-click them to dig them up.

Grazer Whisperer

This secret achievement will have you exploring Kessan’s Landing, returning lost grazers to their farm. It is a set of six hidden achievements! If you retrieve all the lost grazers, you will earn the Grazer Whisperer legacy-title and unlock the ability to purchase up to 20 copies of the Ranch Gapillian Grazer decoration for 125,00 Credits from the Animal Handler Vendor.
