Objective Meridian Flashpoint Guide

Objective Meridian (sometimes known as the Corellia flashpoint) is a Flashpoint in Star Wars: The Old Republic that you can run alone, with friends, or with other random players through the groupfinder.

Objective Meridian

The Republic aren’t going to give up the Meridian Complex so easily and have pulled out all the stops in order to defend it. Getting inside the shipyard will be a monumental task. The Republic has staunch defenses along the docks, and the only way to the Meridian Complex from here is to get through them. Assault the docks and breach their defenses.

How to Start

The Objective Meridian is a Flashpoint meant to be played as part of the Onslaught expansion storyline. You can encounter it later on naturally partway through the Onslaught expansion, replay it alone in Story mode, or play it outside of the story with a group in Story, Veteran or Master mode.

Use the tabs above for instructions for how to enter the flashpoint in the story line, and how to enter it in Solo (Story) mode, Veteran mode, and Master mode by faction, for Republic or Imperial side

  • Story: Lvl 75+
  • Solo: Lvl 75+
  • Veteran: Lvl 15-80
  • Veteran Groupfinder: Lvl 70-80
  • Master Mode: Lvl 75-80 †
  • Master Mode Groupfinder: Lvl 80

Story Instructions (Republic)

Requirements: To play the Objective Meridian Flashpoint in the story, and receive all the special cutscenes related to the Flashpoint in the story, you will need to be level 75+ and on the correct step of the Onslaught Expansion which is also a quest called Objective Meridian. If you are below this level, or not on the correct quest step, you can not play the story quest for this Flashpoint.

Timeline: In the story, this Flashpoint takes place specifically as part of the Onslaught expansion, on the step called Objective Meridian. It does not make much sense plot-wise to play outside of the story.

Bring a Friend?: You can NOT bring a friend of the Objective Meridian Flashpoint that is part of the Onslaught storyline UNLESS that friend is on the exact same step quest Objective Meridian as part of the Onslaught Expansion on the step Complete the “Objective Meridian” Flashpoint in the Objective Meridian quest.

If they have not done the Objective Meridian storyline, they can join you in a group and you can follow the exact same steps together and do the Objective Meridian quest with General Daeruun as long as they are level 75+ and meet the other quest storyline requirements to start. Then you can walk into Objective Meridian together.

If they have already run the storyline or are ineligible to start the Objective Meridian quest, they will NOT be able to walk into the Flashpoint behind you to help you.

Why can’t I get a friend to help? This is because this quest is a special one-time version of the Objective Meridian Flashpoint called [SOLO-STORY] – it is not the same as the [STORY], [VETERAN] or [MASTER] version you would pick up from the terminal. It is a unique fourth mode designed to be run alone and has special one-time cutscenes related to the Onslaught expansion.

Directions to the Story Quest for Objective Meridian (Republic): Objective Meridian’s one-time story quest is built in to the post-Onslaught expansion storyline.

If you have not yet run through the Onslaught-related storylines, you can start it from the glowing blue terminal on your ship. To start this questline, you can start with the Ossus quest called Inflection Point at level 75+. You’ll be going through a lot of content – Ossus is like the prelude to the Onslaught expansion, then you have to run through the entire Onslaught expansion, then its flashpoint finale is the Objective Meridian flashpoint. Ideally, for the most story comprehension, you’d also have run all of the expansion stories that come before Ossus, but the game allows you to skip past them if you are level 75 – just be aware you can not go back and do them later in the story.

→ Ossus (Inflection Point quest)
→ Onslaught Expansion (Onderon & Mek-Sha)
→ Objective Meridian Flashpoint

If you are on this step, you should be able to use the Launch Mission button to get to to the entrance of the Flashpoint quickly.

The steps for the Republic version of the Objective Meridian quest.

  1. Meet General Daeruun on the Telos
  2. Speak to General Daeruun
  3. Deploy Fleet to Corellia
  4. Complete the “Objective Meridian” Flashpoint
  5. Speak to Republic Command

If you need help getting to the Telos to meet General Daeruun, here is the steps once you are on the Republic Fleet:

Step 1 – Starting from the Republic Fleet, Get to the The Telos – either quicktravel if you have it, or…

.. take the Taxi to the The Telos. To get to the taxi, use the Elevator on the east side of the Republic Fleet to the Interfleet Transport level.

Then take the Taxi to the The Telos.

Step 3 – Take the Telos elevator to the Meridian Complex Staging Deck.

You’ll then be able to speak to General Daeruun on this floor and run the Flashpoint as well.

Story Progress: [STORY] Objective Meridian alone will not progress your storyline – it is simply the repeatable solo version. To work on the overarching story, you also need to be on the quest Objective Meridian on the step Complete the “Objective Meridian”  Flashpoint and then run the [SOLO-STORY] Flashpoint: Objective Meridian quest.

Lost the quest? If you lost the Onslaught expansion quest called Objective Meridian… there’s not really a specific way to pick it up, either it is in your quest log or it is not, and you should not be able to abandon the expansion quest chain. Keep in mind this story-based introductory quest is one-time-per-character. If you lost the ability to walk into the Flashpoint door, or lost the quest with the word Flashpoint in it, you can pick up the  [SOLO-STORY] Flashpoint: Objective Meridian quest from the glowing blue terminal outside the flashpoint’s entrance – you’ll only be able to see the [SOLO-STORY] version on the terminal if you are currently on the Complete the “Objective Meridian” Flashpoint a step of the Objective Meridian quest, otherwise only the other non-storyline modes will be visible.

Solo (Story) Instructions (Republic)

You can also run this repeatable Flashpoint solo outside of the one-time story quest, at level 75+.

Activity Finder: The FASTEST and EASIEST way to get into the Objective Meridian Flashpoint soo mode is with the Activity Finder. If you are level 75 or higher, click the icon of “three little people” on the bottom right of your screen which will open the Activity Finder Window.

Then choose the Solo tab in the Activity Finder.

On the solo tab, scroll down and find the listing for Objective Meridian on the list under Flashpoints, select it, then click the green Travel button. This will take you right into the Flashpoint!

Bring a Friend: You are allowed to bring friends along for this Flashpoint, you do not have to do it alone even though it is considered soloable. Your friends must also be level 75+, be in a group with you, and then you can all use the Solo Tab of the Activity Finder to get into the Flashpoint, and it will put you together no matter where in the galaxy you started from.

There’s really no need to walk into the Flashpoint manually, but here are the instructions.

Manual Entry: To enter this Flashpoint manually, you must go to the Objective Meridian’s Flashpoint entrance, which is located on the Telos ship of the Republic Fleet, then take the elevator down to the Meridian Complex Staging Deck floor. Find the Objective Meridian blue quest  terminal and choose [STORY] from the options.

Step 4 – Pick up the flashpoint quest from the Objective Meridian terminal – choose [STORY] mode.

Story Progress: [STORY] Objective Meridian alone will not progress your storyline – it is simply the repeatable solo version. To work on the overarching story, you also need to be on the quest Objective Meridian on the step Complete the “Objective Meridian” Solo-Story Flashpoint and then run the [SOLO-STORY] Flashpoint: Objective Meridian quest.

Veteran Instructions (Republic)

Objective Meridian also has a repeatable 4-player Veteran version. It is meant to be completed by a group with any type of Republic characters in it, you do not necessarily need a tank or healer to complete it. You will likely also have good luck with 2 players and 2 companions, or 3 players and 1 companion.

Group Finder: If you want to queue up and enter Objective Meridian in veteran mode through the group finder, you will need to be level 70-80 and not currently on any Objective Meridian Flashpoint quests or it won’t show up as an option in the group finder. If you are level 70-80, click the icon of “three little people” on the bottom right of your screen which will open the Activity Finder Window. Then choose the Group tab in the Activity Finder.

Filter: If you want to specifically run Objective Meridian and not a random Flashpoint, make sure to choose Veteran Flashpoints, then click the Filter button the right and narrow your choices down to just Objective Meridian before pressing Join Queue. Joining the queue will put you in line to be matched with random players to play Objective Meridian with.

Groupfinder flashpoints do NOT show the cutscenes. To see the cutscenes related to this Flashpoint, you must enter it manually by walking in the door.

Bring a Friend in the Groupfinder: You can queue up with a group of 2, 3, or 4 players in the group finder. If you have a full group of 4, it will bring you straight to the Flashpoint with your full group. If you have 2 or 3 players in your group, the group finder will match you with other random players until you have a full group – but you’ll always be paired with your friends who started off in your group, and will not be split up.

Story: [VETERAN] Objective Meridian will not progress your storyline – it is simply the repeatable group version. If you are a low level, this is the only version that will show up on the actual Flashpoint terminal in front of the entrance door – so don’t be confused and accidentally enter the group version if you are a low level, as it is not meant to be completed alone.

Veteran Manual Entry: To enter this Flashpoint manually, you must go to the Objective Meridian’s Flashpoint entrance, which is located on the Telos ship of the Republic Fleet, then take the elevator down to the Meridian Complex Staging Deck floor. Find the Objective Meridian blue quest  terminal and choose [VETERAN] from the options. If you don’t see the Veteran version it means you are not yet eligible due to being below level 15.

Bring a Friend Manually: Veteran Mode Flashpoints are not meant to be completed alone, though highly-skilled, highly-geared, high-level players might be able to. To bring friends along for this Veteran Flashpoint, they’ll need to pick up the Veteran Mode quest from the blue terminal – or you can pick up the quest and share it with them, but they’ll still need to walk in the door manually. Characters walking in the door need to be level 15+.

Step 4 – Pick up the flashpoint quest from the Objective Meridian terminal – choose [VETERAN] mode.

Master Instructions (Republic)

Master Mode is the hardest version of Objective Meridian. It is meant to be completed by a high-level high-skilled group at level 80. Most teams will want a Tank, Healer and two Damage characters.

Group Finder: If you want to queue up and enter Objective Meridian in Master Mode through the group finder, you will need to be level 80 and not currently on any Objective Meridian Flashpoint quests or it won’t show up as an option in the group finder. If you are level 80, click the icon of “three little people” on the bottom right of your screen which will open the Activity Finder Window. Then choose the Group tab in the Activity Finder.

Filter: If you want to specifically run Objective Meridian and not a random Flashpoint, make sure to choose Master Flashpoints, then click the Filter button the right and narrow your choices down to just Objective Meridian before pressing Join Queue.

Your friends all need to be level 80 too.

Story: [MASTER] Objective Meridian will not progress your storyline – it is simply the repeatable difficult group version.

Veteran Manual Entry: To enter this Flashpoint manually, you must go to the Objective Meridian’s Flashpoint entrance, which is located on the Telos ship of the Republic Fleet, then take the elevator down to the Meridian Complex Staging Deck floor. Find the Objective Meridian blue quest  terminal and choose [MASTER] from the options.

Bring a Friend Manually: Master Mode Flashpoints are not meant to be completed alone, and are designed for level 80 players who are comfortable with their role and class. To bring friends along for this Master Flashpoint, they’ll need to pick up the Master Mode quest from the blue terminal – or you can pick up the quest and share it with them, but they’ll still need to walk in the door manually while you’re in a group. Level 75-80 characters can technically enter Master Mode flashpoints, but all the enemies are level 80, and they will die very quickly.

Step 4 – Pick up the flashpoint quest from the Objective Meridian terminal – choose [MASTER] mode.

Bosses

This Flashpoint actually has six different fights – there’s three unique fights Republic side, and three unique fights Imperial side.

In Story Mode and Veteran Mode, you can use the medpacs scattered around the bosses.  Walk over these to heal yourself – don’t step on them if you do not need them. They also respawn fairly quickly if you need to use them again in this Flashpoint.

The following boss info is mainly for story and Veteran mode – Master Mode tactics are not covered in this guide.

Republic Boss 1 – Vulture Squad Armored Unit 14 & 02

This is the boss you fight as a REPUBLIC character – on the Imperial side you would be fighting R10-X6 Droid instead, with different mechanics.

Avoid the triangle of fire fire and red circles on the ground as much as possible.

Master Mode – When one Vulture Squad droid dies, the other enrages and fun stuff happens. If you kill the walker first (Unit 02) the spider droid (Unit 14) starts doing an infinite fire cone spray. If you kill the spider first, the walker starts dropping dozens of fire circles. We found the second one easier to deal with, so we killed the spider first. You could also try to kill them at roughly the same time. The fire spray was really fun to see though. Try to make sure to leave at least one quadrant of the boss available for your melee players when dropping the red fire circles down.

Master Mode – Tanking this is a bit chaotic – I tried to keep aggro on both enemies. The spider chases you with its fire cone that you want to step out of when possible and not point towards your team mates. The big walker will shoot you with red circles that turn into fire, ideally not on top of the rest of the group – so you need to keep moving as the red circles turn into fire, and as the fire cone attack happens.

Republic Bonus Boss – Lord Feng and Darth Yun

This is the optional bonus boss you can fight as a REPUBLIC character – on the Imperial side you would be fighting a different boss instead named Commander Rasha, with different mechanics, but it is in the same location. This boss is available in all modes – Story, Veteran and Master!

There is no bonus quest related to this boss, you just need to find her by going down a secret pathway. The pathway is between the first and second boss, on the map with the Checkpoints, between Checkpoint Aurek and Besh. Look for a crumbled wall and rubble that leads downwards forming a little ramp you can walk down, then fall down into the boss’s pit. It is off the main path, not marked on the in-game map, and it is not obvious there is anything there unless you are exploring.

In this fight, avoid the colorful circles on the ground.

When one boss dies, the other gets stronger, but not by that much.

Republic Boss 2 – Commander Aster

This is the boss you fight as a REPUBLIC character – on the Imperial side you would be fighting the duo Jakir Halcyon and Seldin instead, with different mechanics.

Avoid the red circles on the ground as much as possible.

Master Mode – There seems to be more mechanics in master mode, but none of them seems to matter too much. Do keep in mind when he is up in the air with his jetpack, he won’t come down until you defeat all the smaller enemies.

Master Mode – We had trouble confirming it, but we think you can maybe break the target lock by having a player steps into th red line between the boss and the targeted player, breaking his line of site to them.

Republic Boss 3 – Darth Malgus

This is the boss you fight as a REPUBLIC character – on the Imperial side you would be fighting Tau Idair instead, with different mechanics.

Darth Malgus has a large purple knock-back, so stay away from the edges of the platform so you don’t get knocked off.

Stay out of his purple circles as much as possible.

If you see a Shade of Malgus enemy, fight it first.

Later in the fight, Darth Malgus will put down a large, growing purple circle with a swirling black center. Stay out of it as much as possible, but make sure to position yourself so you don’t get knocked off the platform, and if possible, also don’t get knocked into the siwrling black and purple circle. The circle will grow over time to be almost the size of the entire platform, so the faster you kill him, the better!

If you get knocked into it, he will summon more Shade of Malgus enemies to fight you.

Master Mode – In addition to the black and purple growing void, there is a second large purple circle that Malgus casts that is called “Darkside” – standing in it hurts you and heals Malgus.

To leave the Flashpoint, use either the Exit Area button or right-click the small blue button on the wall.

Imperial Boss 1 – R10-X6 Droid (Spider Tank)

This is the boss you fight as an IMPERIAL character – on the Republic side you would be fighting two droids called Vulture Squad instead, with different mechanics.

Stay out of the blue circles that turn into orange circles as much as possible. These actually hurt quite a bit even in story mode!

Later in the fight, you will see large pulses of blue light and damage across the whole battlefield. These are coming from two new enemies called Deployed Area Denial Generators, which die very easily – but will do damage until you kill them.

Stay out of the fire red circles as well.

Master Mode – In Master Mode, the blue circles follow the tank and hurt quite a bit. so the tank will likely want to use a defensive cooldown during them.

Master Mode – In Master Mode, there are a lot more orange circles from the mine droids – the mine droids can be gathered up away from the boss, otherwise they explode under the boss making it unaccesible to melee players.

Master Mode – In Master Mode, the Deployed Area Denial Generator have a lot more health, so your team will need to quickly focus them down.

Imperial Bonus Boss – Commander Rasha

This is the optional bonus boss you can fight as an IMPERIAL character – on the Republic  side you would be fighting a different boss instead named Lord Feng & Darth Yun, with different mechanics, but it is in the same location.

Commander Rasha will put down large yellow circles often – you will want to stay out of them as much as possible.

She also summons smaller enemies to help her often – and makes them more powerful over time. The longer they are alive, the more stacks they get, and the more powerful they are – so you can’t just ignore them.

Later in the fight, she will put up a big blue bubble. This bubble prevents you from attacking or going near her – so you need to focus on the smaller enemies and kill them all first.

If you are playing alone with a companion, you may need to set your companion to attack the smaller enemies, so they don’t just attack her – you’ll know this is happening if you see your companion getting continuously knocked back.

And as always, do your best to stay out of the red circles.

Master Mode – In master Mode, the bonus boss also does a green line on the tank or whoever has aggro. Whoever has the green line needs to HIDE behind the smaller enemies.

If you do not use the smaller enemies as human meat shields, you will get stacks of armor penetration, which will make you take a lot of damage any time you are hit and die easily, even as a tank.

The Selonian Armsmaster, the taller alien enemy, has the most health, so its best to focus on hiding behind them. If you have a grapple or pull, you can pull the Selonian over in front of you when it shows up. If you have a leap ability, you can leap quickly between then behind the enemies.

I had a frequent bug where the green line would not be visible but the boss would still be attacking me with her special attack… you can still kinda see her green blaster fire when this happens, and she will still have the castbar with the yellow icon above her head.

Imperial Boss 2 – Master Jakir Halcyon and Seldin

This is the boss you fight as an IMPERIAL character – on the Republic side you would be fighting Commander Aster instead, with different mechanics.

Stay out of their red circles as much as possible.

If you see Master Jakir using a healing ability, attack him until his trance stops, to stop him from healing Seldin. The ability is a casted ability called Healing Trance and has a green icon.

Master Mode – When you see your name in red text, about the force flowing in your mind or your weaknesses, you can step into the light to save yourself.

You can see you need to step into the light if you have a debuff that looks like an icon of a blue and black man staring intently.

Republic Boss 3 – Tau Idair

This is the boss you fight as an IMPERIAL character – on the Republic side you would be fighting Darth Malgus instead, with different mechanics.

Stay out of her blue circles as much as possible.

Tau will summon two circles, around the same time as she summons more smaller enemies to help her fight. One of the circles has a shield icon, the other has a crossed swords icon. Move her and her allies out of these circles, or they will be more powerful when standing inside of them.

If she or her allies are standing in the defensive circle, they will have this buff, so make sure to move them out.

Apparently damage players can also stand in the yellow crossed-swords circle for a damage boost?

Master Mode – When Tau casts Saber Reflect, STOP ATTACKING with single-target ranged attacks until she is done, or it will be reflected back. This comes with the sound queue of “Have a taste of your own medicine!”

To leave the Flashpoint, use either the Exit Area button or right-click the small blue button on the wall.

Master Mode – When Tau does her very large Breathe of Ossus attack, a blue circle that takes up almost the entire floor, everyone should walk into the shield circle to protect themselves until the cast is over and the blue fire goes everywhere. Then take her and her allies out of the shield, so she is no longer defended by it.

PS you apparently can push her smaller allies off the edge if you don’t want to fight them!

Master Mode – Master Strike with the red icon is a larger attack, if you want to use a defensive cooldown on it while tanking.
