SWTOR Lost Island Flashpoint Guide

Lost Island is a Flashpoint in Star Wars: The Old Republic that you can run with friends or with other random players through the groupfinder.

Lost Island

A new strain of the deadly rakghoul plague has caused extensive damage across the Tion Hegemony. You’ve tracked the outbreak to a vengeful outcast scientist, Doctor Lorrick, who is operating in a hidden laboratory on Ord Mantell. It’s imperative to stop Lorrick before he spreads the plague any further.

How to Start

Lost Island is a Flashpoint meant to be played later in the story, quite a while after your class story is completed. You can encounter it after your class story,  or play it outside of the story with a group in Veteran or Master mode.

Use the tabs above for instructions for how to enter the flashpoint in the story line, and how to enter it in Veteran mode and Master mode on Republic Side or Imperial Side.

  • Story: Lvl 50+
  • Solo: No “solo” version available.
  • Veteran: Lvl 15-80
  • Veteran Groupfinder: Lvl 50-80
  • Master Mode: Lvl 50-80 †
  • Master Mode Groupfinder: Lvl 80

Story/Solo – Republic Instructions

Requirements: To play the Lost Island Flashpoint in the story, and receive all the special cutscenes related to the Flashpoint in the story, you will need to be level 50+ and on the second part of the Outbreak in the Tion Hegemony quest.

Unfortunately, there is no solo version of the Lost Island. You can watch the very short introductory cutscene by yourself, but without a group, you likely won’t be able to finish the Flashpoint in any of its available modes.

Lost Island has a Veteran mode, which is designed for 4 players level 15-80. However, if you are higher level, and have a higher skill level, gear level, and companion influence level, you may be able to run the entire Flashpoint solo with some patience and practice. Otherwise, you will need to run this Flashpoint with a group you put together in general chat, or through the group finder. To learn more about how to run it through the groupfinder, see the other tabs.

Timeline: In the story, this Flashpoint takes place after the end of the original base game – so after your class story, and after the False Emperor storyline and flashpoints, but it isn’t a big part of the main storyline, so you can play it later or come back to it at any time. This is the second Flashpoint in the two-part Rakghoul storyline set in the Tion Hegemony.

Bring a Friend: If you want to bring a friend along for this Flashpoint to do the full story line with you, you easily can.

If they have not done the Lost Island / Outbreak in the Tion Hegemony storyline, they can join you in a group and you can follow the exact same steps together if they are also level 50+.

If they have already run the storyline, they’ll be able to join you in the cutscenes after talking to the first questgiver, by walking in the door after you on the Gav Daragon. Then after you finish that cutscene with them watching, you’ll be able to enter the Flashpoint, but your friend won’t have any quests so they can’t walk in behind you… tell them to go talk to the nearby questgiver Ulla and pick up the [Start Veteran Mode] quest and then they will be able to enter the Flashpoint with you if they are also level 50+.

Directions to the Republic Story Quest for Lost Island (Outbreak in the Tion Hegemony): Lost Island’s one-time story quest is started by speaking to a Cathar in the middle of the Supplies section of the fleet named Whisper, at level 50 or higher. The cat-like questgiver will have a yellow triangle quest over his head. The Flashpoint itself is located on the fleet on the Gav Daragon, and you need to take the eastern fleet elevator to the Interfleet Transport level, and a taxi to the Gav Daragon Mission Deck. You can also quicktravel directly to the Gav Daragon from the fleet. The flashpoint storyline is called Outbreak in the Tion Hegemony for Republic players.

Step 1 – Questgiver in the Supplies section of the fleet named Whisper

Step 2 – Get to the Gav Daragon – either quicktravel if you have it, or…

.. take the Taxi to the Gav Daragon. To get there, use the Elevator on the east side of the Republic Fleet to the Interfleet Transport level.

Then take the Taxi to the Gav Daragon.

Step 3 –  Follow the quest marker for the Outbreak in the Tion Hegemony quest in the southern door labelled ‘Tion Mission Hangars’. Go in the green door – do NOT talk to the two questgivers.

Speak to Chief Rannos on the Gav Daragon for a short cutscene.

Step 4 – Pick up the quest. Afterwards, he’ll send you to go speak to Yindo, just outside the door.

You’ll likely want to choose the Veteran Mode version from Yindo.

If for some reason it is not available, you might already have a version of the Kaon Under Siege Flashpoint in your quest log… you can abandon that first if you need to, then talk to Yindo again.

Step 5 – Run the Flashpoint.  Then you can head on inside and run the Flashpoint.

Step 6 – Continue the quest. After the Flashpoint, you’ll speak with Rannos again, who will send you on the second Flashpoint, Lost Island.

Step 7 – Pick up second Flashpoint. Afterwards, he’ll send you to go speak to Ulla, just outside the door.

You’ll likely want to choose the Veteran Mode version from Ulla.

You can then run the Lost Island Flashpoint, and return to Rannos for a final time to wrap up the Outbreak in the Tion Hegemony quest.

Lost the quest? If you lost the Outbreak in the Tion Hegemony quest, head back to Whisper the quest giver in the Supplies section of the Fleet – it can be abandoned, so you may have dropped it somewhere along the way. If you lost the ability to walk into the Flashpoint door, or lost the quest with the word Flashpoint in it, you can pick up the  [VETERAN] Flashpoint: Lost Island quest from the Ulla outside the flashpoint’s entrance.

Veteran Instructions

Lost Island has a repeatable 4-player Veteran version. It is meant to be completed by a group with any type of Republic characters in it, you do not necessarily need a tank or healer to complete it. You will likely also have good luck with 2 players and 2 companions, or 3 players and 1 companion.

Group Finder: If you want to queue up and enter Lost Island in veteran mode through the group finder, you will need to be level 50-80 and not currently on any Lost Island Flashpoint quests or it won’t show up as an option in the group finder. If you are level 50-80, click the icon of “three little people” on the bottom right of your screen which will open the Activity Finder Window. Then choose the Group tab in the Activity Finder.

Filter: If you want to specifically run Lost Island and not a random Flashpoint, make sure to choose Veteran Flashpoints, then click the Filter button the right and narrow your choices down to just Lost Island before pressing Join Queue. Joining the queue will put you in line to be matched with random players to play Lost Island with.

Groupfinder flashpoints do NOT show the cutscenes. To see the cutscenes related to this Flashpoint, you must enter it manually by walking in the door.

Bring a Friend in the Groupfinder: You can queue up with a group of 2, 3, or 4 players in the group finder. If you have a full group of 4, it will bring you straight to the Flashpoint with your full group. If you have 2 or 3 players in your group, the group finder will match you with other random players until you have a full group – but you’ll always be paired with your friends who started off in your group, and will not be split up.

Story: [VETERAN] Lost Island will not progress your storyline – it is simply the repeatable group version. If you are a low level, this is the only version that will show up on the actual Flashpoint terminal in front of the entrance door – so don’t be confused and accidentally enter the group version if you are a low level, as it is not meant to be completed alone. To work on the overarching story, you also need to be on the quest Outbreak in the Tion Hegemony on the step Complete Flashpoint: Lost Island and then run the [VETERAN] Flashpoint: Lost Island quest.

Veteran Manual Entry (Republic): To enter this Flashpoint manually, you must go to the Lost Island’s Flashpoint entrance, which is located on the Fleet on the Gav Daragon ship. To start Veteran mode, choose [Start Veteran Mode] from Ulla the questgiver in the Tion Mission Hangar part of the ship to the the south. You can then walk in the nearby door and play the Flashpoint.

Bring a Friend Manually: Veteran Mode Flashpoints are not meant to be completed alone, though highly-skilled, highly-geared, high-level players might be able to. To bring friends along for this Veteran Flashpoint, they’ll need to pick up the Veteran Mode quest from the questgiver – or you can pick up the quest and share it with them, but they’ll still need to walk in the door manually. Characters walking in the door need to be level 15+.

Step 1 – Get to the Gav Daragon – either quicktravel if you have it, or…

.. take the Taxi to the Gav Daragon. To get there, use the Elevator on the east side of the Republic Fleet to the Interfleet Transport level.

Then take the Taxi to the Gav Daragon.

Step 2 – Speak to the Ulla questgiver

Choose [Start Veteran Mode] then enter the nearby Flashpoint door.

Master Instructions

Master Mode is the hardest version of Lost Island. It is meant to be completed by a high-level high-skilled group at level 80. Most teams will want a Tank, Healer and two Damage characters.

Group Finder: If you want to queue up and enter Lost Island in Master Mode through the group finder, you will need to be level 80 and not currently on any Lost Island Flashpoint quests or it won’t show up as an option in the group finder. If you are level 80, click the icon of “three little people” on the bottom right of your screen which will open the Activity Finder Window. Then choose the Group tab in the Activity Finder.

Filter: If you want to specifically run Lost Island and not a random Flashpoint, make sure to choose Master Flashpoints, then click the Filter button the right and narrow your choices down to just Lost Island before pressing Join Queue. Joining the queue will put you in line to be matched with random players to play Lost Island with.

Groupfinder flashpoints do NOT show the cutscenes. To see the cutscenes related to this Flashpoint, you must enter it manually by walking in the door.

If you have a full group of 4, it will bring you straight to the Flashpoint with your full group. If you have 2 or 3 players in your group, the group finder will match you with other random players until you have a full group – but you’ll always be paired with your friends who started off in your group, and will not be split up. Your friends all need to be level 80 too.

Story: [MASTER] Lost Island will not progress your storyline – it is simply the repeatable difficult group version. To work on the overarching story, you also need to be on the quest Outbreak in the Tion Hegemony on the step Complete Flashpoint: Lost Island and then run the [VETERAN] Flashpoint: Lost Island quest (Master Mode may progress within the story – I’m not sure).

Veteran Manual Entry: To enter this Flashpoint manually, you must go to the Lost Island’s Flashpoint entrance, which is located on the planet of Gav Daragon, which you can fly to on your ship. The Flashpoint questgiver is named Ulla. If you don’t see the Solo version it means you are not yet eligible due to being below level NONE. The solo, single-player repeatable mode will be called [Start Master Mode] from the questgiver. You can then walk in the nearby door and play the Flashpoint.

Bring a Friend Manually: Master Mode Flashpoints are not meant to be completed alone, and are designed for level 80 players who are comfortable with their role and class. To bring friends along for this Master Flashpoint, they’ll need to pick up the Master Mode quest from the questgiver – or you can pick up the quest and share it with them, but they’ll still need to walk in the door manually while you’re in a group. Level 50-80 characters can technically enter Master Mode flashpoints, but all the enemies are level 80, and they will die very quickly.

Choose [Start Master Mode] then enter the nearby Flashpoint door.

Directions to the Imperial Story Quest for Lost Island: Lost Island’s one-time story quest is started by speaking to a questgiver in the middle of the Supplies section of the fleet named Lord Velnine, at level 50 or higher. The questgiver will have a yellow triangle quest over his head. The Flashpoint itself is located on the fleet on the Ziost Shadow, and you need to take the eastern fleet elevator to the Interfleet Transport level, and a taxi to the Ziost Shadow Mission Deck. You can also quicktravel directly to the Ziost Shadow from the fleet. The flashpoint storyline is called Trouble in the Tion Hegemony for Imperial players. You’ll run two flashpoints as part of this quest chain – Kaon Under Siege, then Lost Island.

Step 1 – Questgiver in the Supplies section of the fleet named Lord Velnine

Step 2 – Get to the Ziost Shadow – either quicktravel if you have it, or…

.. take the Taxi to the Ziost Shadow. To get there, use the Elevator on the east side of the Imperial Fleet to the Interfleet Transport level.

Then take the Taxi to the Ziost Shadow.

Step 3 –  Follow the quest marker for the Trouble in the Tion Hegemony quest in a north-eastern hallway. Go in the green door – do NOT talk to the two questgivers around the corner.

Speak to Darth Nurin on the Ziost Shadow for a short cutscene.

Step 4 – Pick Up the Flashpoint Quest. Afterwards, she’ll send you to go speak to EN-C7, just around the corner.

You’ll likely want to choose the Veteran Mode version from EN-C7.

If for some reason it is not available, you might already have a version of the Kaon Under Siege Flashpoint in your quest log… you can abandon that first if you need to, then talk to EN-C7 again.

Step 5 – Run the Flashpoint. You can head on inside the nearby door and run the Flashpoint, after getting the quest from EN-C7.

Step 6 –  Once you have run Kaon Under Siege as part of the story, you’ll be sent back to talk to Darth Nurin on the Ziost Shadow again.

Step 7 – Pick Up the Flashpoint Quest. Afterwards, she’ll send you to go speak to K7-22, also very close by.

You’ll likely want to choose the Veteran Mode version from K7-22.

If for some reason it is not available, you might already have a version of the Lost Island Flashpoint in your quest log… you can abandon that first if you need to, then talk to K7-22 again.

You can then run the Lost Island Flashpoint, and return to Darth Nurin for a final time to wrap up the Trouble in the Tion Hegemony quest.

Lost the quest? If you lost the Trouble in the Tion Hegemony quest, head back to Lord Velnine the quest giver in the Supplies section of the Fleet – it can be abandoned, so you may have dropped it somewhere along the way. If you lost the ability to walk into the Flashpoint door, or lost the quest with the word Flashpoint in it, you can pick up the  [VETERAN] Flashpoint: Lost Island quest from the K7-22 outside the flashpoint’s entrance.

Bosses

This Flashpoint has five  boss fights – the Putrid Shaclaw, the LR-5 Sentinel Droid, and the occassionally frustrating pipe boss, Project Sav-Rak, and the final boss, Doctor Lorrick. There is also the unlockable bonus boss, Transgenic Sample Eleven who is trapped in ice. You may find these fights more difficult than the other group-only Flashpoints, as they were released after the base game came out.

In story mode, and in Veteran Mode when you have multiple players you can use the medpacs scattered around the bosses. Right-click them to heal yourself.

The following boss info is mainly for Veteran mode – Master Mode tactics are not covered in this guide. Master Mode is difficult and has new mechanics not covered here.

Boss 1 – Putrid Shaclaw

The first boss is very easy compared to the later bosses.

Stay out of the yellow circles.

And stay out of the green stink clouds they leave behind too.

Solo Stealthers and groups with all stealth can skip this fight if they wish.

Boss 2 – LR-5 Sentinel Droid

To start the boss, someone in you group will right-click the glowing blue terminal.

The boss will randomly pick a player and place a white circle on them. That player should do their best to run away from the group, as the white circle will follow them, and soon will drop onto the floor and turn into a blue lightning dome which hurts to stand in. A good place to drop it is in the lava area.

If you are playing with a companion, they are not smart enough to get out of the lava or the lightning domes.

To save them, you need to ‘babysit’ them, and when they are standing in lava or lightning, you can run to a safe spot yourself, and then set them to “Passive” mode by clicking the icon of a blue man in a shirt crossing his arms in your companion abilities. Even better if you can click it as you run. This will cause them to follow you closely and not attack or heal. When it is safe, and they are no longer in a lightning dome or lava, you can click the icon again to send them back into battle. The keybind for this ability is CONTROL+2 by default.

The boss will also free the smaller enemies from the tanks. Your group will also need to fight them – ideally on the sides or in the middle, where there is no lava.

The boss has an important ability called Incinerate – it can hurt quite a bit, even in Veteran mode. It is very fast, but it can be interrupted if you are quick enough – it is casted over three seconds, and each second it goes on gives the character a staff of nasty Incinerate, for up to three stacks – so the sooner you interrupt it, the less damage you or your teammate will take. Getting all three stacks without also getting healed is pretty much instant death for the player targeted so it’s important to interrupt this.

When running this with a companion, your companion may wind up standing and staring at a wall, and running back to that same spot when you take them off of passive move. To fix this, use passive mode to get them to a good physical location, then select the boss and click their companion attack button to force them to attack the boss – this will stop them from attacking the invisible enemy in the wall.

Master Mode: In Master Mode especially, you will want to not stand in the lava when it is erupting through the grates in the middle of the room.

Master Mode: In Master Mode, the blue lightning spheres grow really big, so it’s more important not to drop them near or on the boss.

Boss 3 – Project Sav-Rak

Project Sav-Rak, the third boss, can be very difficult for random groups because players can easily die and there are some mechanics multiple team members must do.

Placement – The tank, or the player who is holding the boss’s aggro, needs to move the boss to the very center of the platform. The tank will be slightly offset from the middle, with the boss’s feet in the middle. The middle is in the center of the four medpacs. This placement needs to happen right away – ideally, all players will run to the center in case the boss switches his focus suddenly, especially if your team does not have a tank.

Smash – Red text will appear saying Project Sav-Rak prepares to Sav-rak smash!

ALL players need to run as quickly as possible directly under the boss. Ideally, you want to be inside the boss, so you can’t even see your own character, directly beneath him. He will then push everyone back.

If you are not directly under the boss, or the boss is not centered enough, you will be flung into the lava instead of to the edge of the platform.

With a group with decent damage, in Veteran mode, you may never even see this happen as the boss will skip straight to the buttons mechanic.

Buttons – There are three buttons around the platform. One team member stays in the middle, and the other team members must run to press the buttons.

The buttons will glow blue and be right-clickable and the team members should right-click them as much as possible, non-stop.

The boss will be jumping from pipe to pipe randomly, and the goal is to set him on fire by clicking the buttons on the pipes quickly, since you don’t know which pipe he will jump to next, and it takes a while of clicking the button for it to set the pipe on fire.

During this phase, the boss will be also damaging a random player, which may eventually kill them if you do not have a healer or are not clicking the buttons fast enough. In a group, ideally someone with heals stays out and helps heal, or you all click the pipes and the boss comes down quickly.

Solo – If you are playing with a companion, they are not smart enough to go under the boss.

To save them, you need to ‘babysit’ them, and when the boss shows his red text, set them to “Passive” mode by clicking the icon of a blue man in a shirt crossing his arms in your companion abilities.  This will cause them to follow you closely and not attack or heal. When it is safe, and the boss has smashed, you can click the icon again to send them back into battle. The keybind for this ability is CONTROL+2 by default. Sometimes even clicking passive didn’t cause my companion to come to me, and other times they would refuse to go into the middle with the boss – unfortunately, companions are just kinda finicky, and this fight was not designed for them.

I was unable to complete this fight solo as I got frustrated with my companion refusing to go into passive mode about halfway through the fight – I assume this is due to some sort of strange pathing issue where they get stuck or can’t see you. I know it can be done, I just got too frustrated to continue trying. Zahk successfully solo’d it.

If you are playing alone, you may wind up where the boss just is never quite in the right timing – you are at the right pipe, but the boss comes too early or too late. Try waiting a two-to-three seconds before pushing the button to help it line up again.

Solo players will want to have their companion set to healer, so they can stay alive during the clicking phase.

Make sure to right-click the tiny glowing blue button for the Bridge Controls on the side of the platform to continue.

Bonus Boss – Transgenic Sample Eleven

This boss is frozen in ice unless you also do the Bonus Quest to click all six holorecordings in order as you go through the Flashpoint, with the final one right before the bonus boss’s location.

After clicking the final one, the boss will turn hostile and free itself from the ice.

This boss has a special mechanic – during certain parts of the fight, you MUST keep moving, or you will freeze. You need to be moving a few second before the red text pops up – you can see this part of the fight starting when you get a debuff of a blue man raising his arms. The more stacks you get, the slower you will move, and eventually you will freeze in place.

During the same phase, icicles will start falling from the sky. You’ll want to keep moving to avoid them.

Boss 4 – Doctor Lorrick

Doctor Lorrick’s fight has a lot going on.

Splat – The doctor will put circles on the ground that quickly turn from yellow to red, following all players’ movement.

When they finish turning red, they will drop onto the ground, and turn into stinky-looking green clouds.

You want to move out and stay out of these clouds as quickly as possible, as they give you a stacking debuff – the more you have, the more damage you take.

Solo player – I found my companion was too dumb to get out of the splats and died quickly – so I swapped to a melee healing companion instead of a range one. This worked much better, and I could slowly scooch the boss around the room, bringing my melee companion with me.

Kolto Tanks – The doctor will eventually jump to a Kolto tank, and power it up.

Your goal is to attack the kolto tank and destroy it before an enemy comes out of it – otherwise, kill that smaller enemy when it bursts out of the tank.

When one tank is done, you can bring the boss to the net one, roughly counter-clockwise around the room, to get ready for his next round of kolto tank.

Ravage – When the boss uses Ravage, he stuns the player he is attacking – the other players can interrupt him.

Rakghoul – When Doctor Lorrick turns into a rakghoul, he will periodically make a green cloud – there’s nothing you can do to stop this, you just need to finish him quickly before you take too many stacks of his green cloud attack.

Master Mode: Avoid the baby rakghouls that are on fire, and avoid their fire trails.

Don’t forget to right-click the blue terminal after the fight to finish the flashpoint.

Master Mode

Master Mode Lost Island is almost exactly the same as Veteran Mode Lost Island, except for these small differences:

  • The enemies and bosses are stronger and have more health.
  • The boss mechanics are pretty much the same, but it’s more important to do them.
  • The bonus boss and bonus quest are in both modes, and are no different in Master Mode.

Bonus Quest

Lost Island’s bonus quests leads to the bonus boss, which is not available unless you complete the bonus quests steps. The steps are in order and marked on the map with a triangle, so they’re easy to find as long as you don’t skip them. Look for the glowing blue man, and right-click the Holoprojector Controls to activate the recording for the quest.

Skips

What follows are a quick gallery of images depicting specific walking routes that may save you some time by avoiding enemies during the flashpoint – certain routes will be highlited as the main “community routes” that you’ll probably see players in random activity-finder groups try to do – if you only practice one skip out of all of these, make it the community one! All of the following images are done without stealth or without a sleep dart/mind maze from a stealth character, so anyone can attempt them. If you fail to slip by unnoticed or see your team has attacked the enemies – always pull back from these routes and go back to help them defeat them! These may save time if everyone does them, but nothing makes a flashpoint slower than running ahead and not helping others to get out of combat again.

Solo Stealth: If you are playing Lost Island alone and are on a Stealth character, or in an all-stealth group you can skip even more of the enemies – but not all of them.

The Observation Droids have an ability that they use randomly that will scan the area for stealthers – and if they detect you, they will scan you and grapple you into combat. For the first part of the Flashpoint, while you are outside, you should actually use all the same skips as everyone else but do not be in stealth, to avoid detection by the normally-neutral Observation droids with the yellow names. As a stealther, you can also skip past the first boss, and cross your fingers going forward through the tunnels. Go past the observation droids quickly seems to help – don’t linger if possible, use rocket boots if possible.

Later in the Flashpoint, after the rakghouls pop out of the tanks, you will be knocked out of stealth frequently no matter what you do.

Skip #1

Starting off in Lost Island, the razoronn and flutterplumes are hostile to eachother as well as you. If you wait for the razeronns to finish killing off a pack of flutterplume ahead of you, they’ll move off to the coastline, allowing you to run up to this first bridge and hug the left railing across it, skipping two packs of razoronn.

Skip #2 – Community Skip

Right after Skip #1, if you break left after the small rock and flutterplume pack near your bridge you’ll see this sort of “lava slide” that goes up the large rock ahead of you. You will skip three whole packs of creatures by running up this lava-slide to the next bridge instead of taking the safe route. Lots and lots of players do this, and will usually use whatever mobility abilities their class has to clear it faster, as it comes with a nasty elemental damage debuff (though it’s definitely survivable by just running normally).

Skip #3

Once you get to the bridge with the big gold-level bird on it, players can run into the lava on the left of the bridge and quickly cross to avoid fighting it at all. You might want to use a speed buff/boost and move quickly.

I think some players would run underneath the bridge from it’s right side to save themselves a bit of lava damage, but this requires a smaller body type.

Skip #4

At the lava’s edge with the first savrips you find, you’ll find you can actually run across this red-hot ditch without taking the lava damage you normally do. Stick to the very edge where you’re almost touching lava and jump the rocks here to squeeze under the bridge. Any body type can manage it this time. Then, hop back onto the bridge from the far side and continue on.

Skip #5 – Community Skip

On Rockchewer’s platform in the lava you’ll see two paths – the regular one behind him and a large rock shelf extending up over the lava on the left. take this, even if it just looks like it’s skipping neutral yellow-named enemies. You’ll see in the next skip’s picture.

Skip #6 – Community Skip

From up here on the ledge, you can see that you’re about to go over and past a group of vile shaclaw. If you have a quick movement ability like a sniper or operative roll, you can shoot over the right-arrow here and land past the enemy pack to go fight the boss right away. If you have movement speed increases like hold the line or force speed, you may want to take the left arrow straight ahead into the lava, so you can run behind the cargo boxes in the image and recuperate there for a second before attacking the boss. Either way, it skips a pack and lots of people like riding up here and jumping off from what I’ve noticed in random groups.

That’s all, folks!

Unfortunately (or luckily, depending on how you view skipping in flashpoints) there’s no real skips in the rest of the flashpoint once you get inside the indoor specimen holding areas and labs – areas are simply too narrow with way too many enemies spread out at every juncture to really reliably skip any without stealth or darts. On one hand, this Flashpoint can feel pretty long, but on the other, that’s less skips to remember! Even stealthers will regularly get ambushed out of stealth in this one.

Stealther-Only skip – First Boss

Stealthers can skip past the first boss all-together, it’s not on the quest objectives.

After that, the second boss has a red shild behind him so you can not stealth past him.

Rewards

In addition to the usual rewards of XP, credits, gear and end-game currency, Lost Island has the following rewards available.

Cryogenics Tank

The Cryogenics Tank drops from Lost Island. I am unsure if this drops in any mode, but it sounds like it can drop from the bosses in general, though I don’t have a ton of concrete data. It can also be bought and sold on the GTN.

Lhosan Thunderbolt

The Lhosan Thunderbolt drops from the Lost Island Flashpoint. I’m unsure if it drops from Veteran Mode at all, as most players reported receiving it from Master Mode on the final boss (Doctor Lorrick).

Orosquab and Mysterious Egg

The Mysterious Egg is a rare reward drop from the last boss (Doctor Lorrick) of the Lost Island Flashpoint on Master Mode. If you buy or find a Mysterious Egg, you hatch it the same way as the Unusual Eggs hidden around the galaxy. Hatching it will give you an Orosquab pet!

Doctor Lorrick’s Data Recordings

First Data Recording – Doctor Lorrick: “Doctor Sannus Lorrick: log entry 12-46. Progress on the enhanced strain of the rakghoul virus is slow, but I will not be daunted. I have spent too long in exile. I will return to the worlds I once called home as a conqueror and a hero! Those who cast me out will bow down before me. They will cry for mercy, and be rewarded with death.”

Second Data Recording: – Doctor Lorrick: “Doctor Sannus Lorrick: log entry 14-11. Preliminary results from the hegemony have exceeded even my expectations. The success has led me to re-evaluate the virus. I understand now that it is neither a disease, nor a weapon. The exposed become bigger, faster, stronger—genetically improved in every way! The virus is evolution perfected; it must be spread across the entire galaxy!”

Third Data Recording – Doctor Ingrol: “Doctor Addy Ingrol, log entry 13-44. I and the other assistants have noticed some disturbing results. Current test subjects show very different characteristics than those originally captured on Taris. It’s almost as if someone has been tampering with the specimens. Doctor Lorrick believes the changes are due to the virus’s natural adaptability. If he’s right, our efforts to find a cure will be even harder than we thought.”

Fourth Data Recording – Doctor Lorrick: “The mutative properties have been enhanced as well. The newly transformed creatures are stronger and more powerful than previous generations. Even with their increased strength and aggression, they remain responsive to my commands. My work is nearing completion.”

Fifth Data Recording – Doctor Ingrol: “Doctor Addy Ingrol, supplemental log update. Doctor Lorrick has gone completely mad. We realize now he was never working on a cure for the virus. His work is an abomination; we have to stop him. After I delete his files, we will try to take him into custody. I fear he may oppose us with violence, but we have no other choice.”

Sixth Data Recording – Doctor Lorrick: “Doctor Sannus Lorrick: log entry 14-08. The modified virus is ready for field testing in the Tion Hegemony. The first few worlds will be wiped out. Their populations will become rakghouls under my control, swelling the ranks of my armies. With the hegemony secured, I will spread my campaign world by world until I sweep away the war-torn tatters of both the Republic and the Empire!”
