SWTOR Headgear that Hide Hoods

Love your armor set in SWTOR, but want to hide your hood? There are a very small number of unobtrusive headgears that overrides hoods, hiding the hood as if the armor set never had one at all. I’ve put together a list of helmets that will hide your hood but also won’t cover your eyes, mouth or hair, making them unobtrusive circlets or headbands.

Sadly there’s no hood toggle in SWTOR, but these helmets will help you approximate that effect and hide your hood!

Zakuulan Security’s Headband

The Zakuulan Security’s Armor Set is one of the most well-known hood-hiders, and is part of a usually fairly inexpensive Cartel Market set – so check the GTN to pick it up.

Pragmatic Master’s Helmet

The Pragmatic Master Armor Set is a fan-favorite for hood-hiding helmets – it’s one of the smallest and thinnest hood-hiders, but the set itself is well-liked so it will be more on the expensive side on the GTN or on the Cartel Market.

Omenbringer’s Headgear

The Omenbringer Armor Set is a very, very inexpensive armor set, and its helmet the Omenbringer’s Headgear only costs 2,500 Credits from the Adaptive Vendor and is legacy-bound! The Tarisian Consular Armor Set has the same look / effect, but is a lot more expensive.

The Consular Armor Set is the same look but flipped colors, with a wooden circle in the center and silver on the band – but it’s harder to find, as you need to find a Synthweaver with the uncommon Consular’s Headgear crafting recipe (in the ‘Light’ archived section of their crafting), and can only be worn by Consulars.

The Lashaa Force Expert’s / Shimmersilk Force Expert’s Armor Set is also the same shape as the very cheap Omenbringer, but has a different color, and is all made of metal. If you like this color better, all Synthweavers can craft it at synthweaving level 110, and it looks the same Imperial and Republic side. I really like this circlet in general, even outside of just for hiding the hood.

Tythonian Consular’s Headgear

The Tythonian Consular Armor Set is a really great lesser-known hide-hood helmet the Tythonian Consular’s Headgear – it is expensive though, at 200,000 credits, and you will need a Republic character to go buy it from Tython, but it is legacy-bound once you pick it up.

The Tribal Hermit Armor Set has the same shape, with a different color scheme – but it’s a lot harder to get, with the Tribal Hermit’s Headgear costing 3,000 Tech Fragments + 1,000,000 Credits. There is also a small chance you can find it on the GTN.

Nanosilk Force Expert’s Headgear

The Nanosilk Force Expert’s Armor Set is a crafted set all Synthweavers can craft at synthweaving level 370 – but you need to be level 46 to wear it, and only works on Republic-side.

The Septsilk Force Expert’s Armor Set has a helmet, the Septsilk Force Expert’s Headgear, which is also crafted the same way but is a different color. Synthweavers can craft it at synthweaving level 260 – but you need to be level 32 to wear it, and it also only works on Republic-side.

The Alderaanian Knight Armor Set is the same but with different colors in bright blue and white, but costs a lot more at 200,000 credits! This one however does not change the way it looks on Imperial-side.

The Fitted Mantellian Banded Armor Set has the Fitted Mantellian Banded Helmet, which you’ll likely find on the GTN, and also won’t change the way it looks Imperial-side and is legacy-bound.

Reinforced Chanlon Headgear

The Reinforced Chanlon Armor Set has a crafted helmet the Reinforced Chanlon Headgear that Synthweavers can craft at synthweaving level 220 if they have found the schematic. This level 31 version is the Republic version, and will change looks when swapped to Imperial side, but can be crafted on either side to start.

The Ablative Plasteel Armor Set also has a helmet called the Ablative Plasteel Headgear which is also a set Synthweavers can craft at synthweaving level 220 if they have found the schematic. This level 23 version is the Republic version, and will change looks when swapped to Imperial side, but can be crafted on either side to start.

The Ancient Ardent Blade’s Armor Set is the same shape but a different color with a brown headband, and is an uncommon helmet you might be able to find on the GTN and will require level 47 to wear. Ancient Battlemaster’s will be the same helmet as well if you can find it. This is a Republic version, it changes looks on Imperial side.

The Devout Overseer Armor Set is a different color but very expensive compared to the others t 3,000 Tech Fragments + 1,000,000 Credits, but the Devout Overseer’s Headgear is a guaranteed item you can pick up without relying on the GTN or other players, and won’t change looks when you send it over to Imperial-side.

Laminoid Battle Headgear

If you’re ok with a little more head obstruction, Armormechs can craft the Laminoid Battle Armor Set at armormech level 140 or higher if they’ve found the schematic. You can likely also find it on the GTN.

RD-02B Combat / TD-02B Combat (Republic) Armor Set

If you want a darker color, the RD-02B Combat / TD-02B Combat (Republic) Armor Set is harder to find on the GTN but does show up occasionally.
