SWTOR Divided We Fall Uprising Guide

Divided We Fall is an Uprising in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and is like a short, story-light Flashpoint with three bosses and a few surprises including the ability to bring a desert pet along for the fight. Divided We Fall comes in three different difficulties: Story. Veteran, and Master, and is meant to be done with a group of four at level 70+. This is the Coruscant Uprising.

If you are new to Uprisings, you may want to first visit the basic Uprisings Guide for tips about the quests to pick up before you go in. For the most part, you don’t really need a guide for Uprisings unless your group is struggling with a specific boss or you want to discover some secrets or achievements. Uprisings are meant to be very accessible and short, fun, run-and-gun missions.

How to Start

All Uprisings start at the glowing blue table in the Combat Training section of the Republic or Imperial Fleet. You can also enter the Groupfinder for Veteran Mode, just keep in mind if you filter for just Divided We Fall, you won’t be eligible for the bonus groupfinder rewards for running a random Uprising.

Once you have picked up an Uprising, left-click the icon of a shuttle in your quest log to travel to the Uprising.

Difficulty Modes

  • Story Mode: Easiest mode, designed for four players but likely doable with 2 or more decent players in any roles and their companions.
    • Solo: This is one of the few Uprisings I was able to solo in Story Mode on a well-geared damage character with a rank 50 companion with some practice! On my tank it was very easy.
  • Veteran Mode: Middle difficulty but not that much harder, designed for four players but likely doable with 2 or more decent players in any roles and their companions
  • Master Mode: Quite difficult mode, most groups will need a full four players, including 1 healer, 1 tank and 2 damage players. Very competent groups might be able to do it with 3 players and one companion. Your team should be decently geared, understand their class and role, and be ready to do some mechanics and stay out of bad stuff on the ground.

Divided We Fall Power-Ups

While running Divided We Fall, keep you eyes open for glowing blue crates with powerups inside.

To open a crate, you can right-click it, then walk over the item it reveals.

Once you’re carrying a power-up, you’ll get a temporary ability to use it, and you can get up to one of each kind. These crates will be hidden throughout the Uprising.

PS – Divided We Fall has achievements for defeating lots of enemies with the different powerups.

If you happen to see any glowing blue pipes, you can right-click them, then right-click them again to explode them to hurt enemies nearby.

Boss 1: Beta Cthon

This is a very simple boss – its Smash ability can be interrupted.

Master Mode Tips

  • This boss is about the same in Master Mode and is very easy.
  • There are no medpacs in Master Mode.

Boss 2: Rogue Members of the Coruscant Security

Start by fighting all the droids in the room, then run to the gate at the end of the room and right-click the glowing blue console.

It’s a trap!

Upstairs on each side there is a glowing blue console you can right-click to turn off the gas.

Master Mode Tips

  • In Master Mode, we sent one team mate to the left terminal and one to the right and quickly clicked them – this shut off the gas. We died from all the enemies but respawned and then easily cleared them out. I’m not sure if that is the intended strategy but it worked well for us.
  • There are no medpacs in Master Mode.

Continue to fight your way to the control room and right-click the glowing blue control panel beside a locked gate to progress.

It’s a trap! Again. Fight the small enemies that show up and avoid the red firey squares.

Boss 3: Lieutenant Raena

Lieutenant Raena is the second boss of Divided We Fall.

Raena’s red circle is a knock back, so get out of it.

Raena’s Full Auto attack and shield knockback can be interrupted.

And is should be obvious… but stay out of the fire!

Master Mode Tips

  • This fight is mostly the same in Master Mode. Just avoid anything bad on the ground.
  • There are no medpacs in Master Mode.

Boss 4: Commander Kallin and Alpha Cthon

The Alpha Cthon is a pretty simple fight, defeat the smaller enemies first as they show up and stay out of the red stuff on the ground. After you defeat it, Commander Kallin will come down and fight you.

His Full Auto and Concussive Round can be interrupted. If you get stunned, you can use your stunbreaker to move.

Master Mode Tips

  • The Commander will randomly pick a player and start firing towards them with an orange cone. This player should stand still and everyone else move out of the cone.  This “Spray and Pray” attack is interruptible.
  • There are no medpacs in Master Mode.

To leave Divided We Fall, use the Exit Area button after the final boss is complete or right-click the nearby blue door.

Story and Lore

Theron Shan: “Disturbing intel coming in from our Republic sources, Commander. A group of rogue security agents on Coruscant is stirring up trouble with a false flag operation. They’re led by Commander Kallin, an outspoken critic of the Alliance. They’re going to attack the Senate Tower and plant evidence that makes it look like we’re to blame. We tracked Kallin and his followers to their hideout in Coruscant’s industrial underbelly. Do the galaxy a favor and stop these scum!”

Theron Shan: “Appreciate you taking out Kallin and those rogue security agents, Commander. I consider it a personal favor. This one hit close to home. Traitors willing to sacrifice innocent civilians and blame it on someone else to start a war are the lowest of the low. Makes me sick. I used to think the Republic was better than the Sith, but those days are long gone. Guess that’s why I’m with the Alliance now.”
