Beastmaster of Makeb Achievement Guide

This guide will go over over the Beastmaster of Makeb achievement in Star Wars: The Old Republic, which requires you to find all the bestiary lore objects on Makeb.

The achievement can be found in your Achievements section under: Location → Makeb → Exploration.

Barbed Ginx

Though Ginx are all over Makeb, there are more convenient locations depending on what faction you belong to. For imps, simply head south after reaching the solida estate proper and find some small ginx in a small pool. Defeat any for the codex. For republic, simply head south from the avesta plantation and check under the bridge to defeat any ginx you see.

Closest Republic Travel: Avesta’s Plantation

Exoboar

Although exoboars can be found on many mesas on Makeb, a surefire way to get the codex entry is to defeat any of the khobisho attack hounds guarding the east side of the Hesk Estates.

Closest Republic Travel: Solida Hesk’s Estate

Makrin Creeper

Makrin are pretty plentiful on most mesas in Makeb, but this roaming Makrin in the ruins of southern Perekta is confirmed to drop the codex, if you’re missing it.

Pterathki

The Pterathki codex on imperial side can be picked up as early as landing at Gravity Hook Seven’s Crash Site. Instead of following the path north, look to the left and you’ll see a bunch of them fluttering under the trees near the cliff edge. Any should award it. A quick spot for Republic to find the right Pterathki for the codex is to head to Frinn mesa, just north of where you land, off the left side of the road. Note that fledglings are the ones that award it.

Closest Imperial Travel: Gravity Hook Seven Crash Site

Closest Republic Travel: Frinn Mesa

Subteroth

Though a subteroth that meets the requirement should show up under the hutt stronghold during your story quests, both imps and republic players can find these “Underworld Carnivore Pack Leaders” in the volcanic mesa for the codex, too.

Underwalker

Take a trip into the volanic mesa and you’ll quickly find a ton of these underwalker scarabs and drones littering the tunnels. Any should drop the codex.

Vrake

Vrakes can be found on most wild areas on Makeb, and can easily be spotted in Frinn Mesa. Some like to stay near water or just off the beaten path. The one in the image above hides in some grass near the road. There are some in the Sunken Pool area as well.

Yara

Yara aren’t as plentiful on Makeb as Pterathki or Exoboars, though they hang out together on the Abandoned Mining Mesa. Either faction can head there and find them taking over their own platform on the west side of the catwalks.
