Togruta Naming Rules

Togrutas do not seem to have any canon naming rules or suggestions. The biggest examples we have of Togruta names are Shaak Ti, Ahsoka Tano, Raana Tey, and Ashara Zavros.

For this Togruta Name generator, these are the rules that I have used to generate names:

• Name Length: 5-8 letters for single names, 4-5 for first names and 5-8 for last names
• First & Last Name: About 50% of Togrutas have a known last name
• Apostrophes: Very uncommon in Togruta names, only 4% of Togruta names had one like Dar'Nala and B'asia
• Dashes: Very uncommon in Togruta names, only found one Togruta name with a dash Shi-Fara
• Starting Letters: Only start with letters in the canon names list (S and K are the most common letters to start with)
• Other Letters: Generated based on how often letter combinations show up in the canon names list.
• Double Vowels: Uncommon to see names with double vowels like ii or aa like Shaak Ti, at only about 14% of anmes
• Consonants: Not a Togruta rule, but no more than two consonants at a time, so names like Andreaus and Yacommsa will not show up, though Togruta names with three consecutive consonants are uncommon
• Shaak Ti: The most canon Togruta name in Star Wars is Shaak Ti, and due to her last name only having 2 letters, it wouldn't even pass Star Wars: The Old Republic's online name character submission, haha.
• The Letter K: Between Ahsoka Tano and Shaak Ti, the letter K seems to pop up a lot in Togruta names.

Togruta Canon Names

These are names of existing Togruta characters in Star Wars: The Old Republic and in other Star Wars media. These names likely can't be used in the character creator as they may be restricted, but you can use them as inspiration for your Togruta, and this is the list I use to pull information from for my Togruta name generator.
