Rattataki Name Generator

As a less commonly seen species in the galaxy, Rattataki do not seem to have any rules or suggestions when it comes to naming. Some take both first and last names, while others stick to a single name. There's really only one well-known Rattataki name, and that's Kaliyo Djannis. The Rattataki come from the ceaselessly violent world of Rattatak, but not enough Rattataki names have been shared to see if there is a culturally fitting way of naming your Rattataki.

If you are looking to name your character in Star Wars: The Old Republic or in any other roleplaying game, you can use my Rattataki Name Generator to generate names for your character automatically that will fit in well with the lore and setting of the Old Republic for Rattataki!

Rattataki Naming Rules

Rattatakis do not seem to have any canon naming rules or suggestions, mainly because Rattataki are fairly uncommon.

For this Rattataki Name generator, these are the rules that I have used to generate names:

  • Name Length: 5-8 letters for single names, 4-5 for first names and 5-8 for last names
  • First & Last Name: About 50% of Rattatakis have a known last name
  • Apostrophes: Incredibly uncommon. Not a single exisiting Rattataki character in the Old Republic has an apostrophe.
  • Dashes: Very uncommon in Rattataki names, but they do exist, my only known example is Palak-Ti
  • Starting Letters: Only start with letters in the canon names list (A, K, L, M, R, S, T and V are the most common letters to start with)
  • Other Letters: Generated based on how often letter combinations show up in the canon names list. Apparently the letter Q and W are not used by Rattataki in the Old Republic. X is also incredibly uncommon.
  • Double Vowels: Pretty much non existant for Rattataki, you don't see oo or aa at all, though consonants like rr and ss do show up
  • Consonants: Not a Rattataki rule, but no more than two consonants at a time, so names like Andreaus and Yacommsa will not show up, though Rattataki names with three consecutive consonants are uncommon

Rattataki Canon Names

These are names of existing Rattataki characters in Star Wars: The Old Republic and in other Star Wars media. These names likely can't be used in the character creator as they may be restricted, but you can use them as inspiration for your Rattataki, and this is the list I use to pull information from for my Rattataki name generator.
