Zabrak Naming Rules

Zabraks do not seem to have any canon naming rules or suggestions. Apart from Darth Maul, whose name follows the classic 'Darth' naming conventions, there aren't a ton of famous Zabraks, though some well known ones include Kao Cen Darach, Bao-Dur, Eeth Koth, and Agen Kolar. There are however over 200 names for Zabraks to feed into the generator - so you should get some unique results!

A supplemental Star Wars roleplaying guide says that Zabrak would commonly take their names from animals native to Iridonia, with many Zabrak families named after the Bukk. Many Zabrak males were named after the Blok, Lok, and Zur. Many Zabrak females were known to take their names from the Triz. However, I've put together a massive list of Zabrak names, and how much that rule is actually followed is pretty debatable.

For this Zabrak Name generator, these are the rules that I have used to generate names:

• Name Length: 5-8 letters for single names, 3-6 for first names and 5-8 for last names
• First & Last Name: About 50% of Zabraks have a known last name
• Apostrophes: Incredibly uncommon in Zabrak names, at only 2.5%, a notable example is Jewl'a Nightbringer
• Dashes: Incredibly uncommon in Zabrak names at only 1% of names having them, a notable example is Bao-Dur
• Starting Letters: Only start with letters in the canon names list, with lots of variety
• Other Letters: Generated based on how often letter combinations show up in the canon names list.
• Double Vowels: Kinda uncommon to see double vowels like aa at about only 9% of names, like Akaavi Spar
• Consonants: Not a Zabrak rule, but no more than two consonants at a time, so names like Andreaus and Yacommsa will not show up, though Zabrak names with three consecutive consonants are uncommon
• Huge Variety: Due to there being over 200 names inputted as official Star Wars names, there will be a huge variety when it comes to suggestions compared to other species!

Zabrak Canon Names

These are names of existing Zabrak characters in Star Wars: The Old Republic and in other Star Wars media. These names likely can't be used in the character creator as they may be restricted, but you can use them as inspiration for your Zabrak, and this is the list I use to pull information from for my Zabrak name generator.
