Fitted armors are a type of cosmetic armor in Star Wars: The Old Republic that drop randomly from enemies around the galaxy, and are made up of over 2,000 pieces you can mix and match using the Outfit system.

How to get Fitted Armors
Fitted Armor can be found a few different ways, but players mainly pick them up on the GTN if they are looking for specific pieces.
1. GTN
Many players sell Fitted Armor on the GTN. If you are looked for a specific piece, search for the set name. If it’s not listed for sale, check back in a week or so and see if someone listed it up – what’s available just depends on what players have randomly picked up as they play, and which players decide to take the time to list those items on the GTN.

Tips
- Many of the Fitted Armors have duplicates looks with different names. For example, the Fitted Dantoonian Battle set looks exactly the same as the Fitted Kuati Battle set (above), so check both names on the GTN. You might be able to find the other set listed.
- The green-bordered items are often much cheaper and easier to find than the blue and purple bordered items.
- There is sometimes a full boxed set for sale. They are often listed for millions or even billions. If you keep your eyes open, you can likely buy the set piece-by-piece for a lot less. If you are going for a certain look, you can also try just buying the pieces you want individually and ignore the boxed set.
2. Ancient Armaments
During the Ancient Armament rotating login calendar track, in the fourth week, you’ll get a Fitted Armor Pack that contains one random full set of Fitted Armor. Login Calendar Guide

3. Random Drops
Fitted Armor can drop from pretty much any enemy in the game, at any level.
4. Treasure Hunting
On top of all of that, there is a chance you can get these Fitted Armors from Treasure Hunting boxes! These treasure boxes come from the Treasure Hunting crew skill, and can also be bought and sold unopened on the GTN, though I don’t recommend buying them unopened if you are searching for Fitted pieces.
I do not think specific grades or levels of Treasure Hunting boxes give specific pieces of gear from my limited testing.
Why were Fitted Armors added to the game?
When the game originally launched, there were additional types of stats attached to armors that no longer exist, which meant there were a lot more variations of types of armor than there are now – each set could have up to 18 different name and stat variations. The game itself was also a lot more difficult at lower levels, so gearing up properly at a low level was a lot more important than in the current iteration of the game. This old gear was was considered randomized gear, and in general, is now hard to find. In Update 4.0, many of these extra stats were combined and simplified, and what type of gear that dropped when you were levelling became more simplified as well, and the randomized gear stopped dropping from normal enemies and normal questing.

When the developers revamped the GTN, the player run market, in Update 7.4, one of the negative side effects was that those randomized armors would no longer be available to buy or sell on the GTN, making them even harder to get than they were before. Many of these randomized armors looked like other similar sets in the game, while others were unique and had no other way to get that exact color or pattern.
To make up for the missing outfits, the developers re-introduced them in the form of “Fitted Armor” – outfits with new names, but old looks, which could be gotten as random drops from enemies, and then traded, sold on the GTN, or sold to a vendor for 100 credits.

Why are Fitted Armors special?
These Fitted Armors are Bind to Legacy on Equip, which means that before you equip them or use them in the outfitter, you can buy/sell them on the GTN, trade them, or send them in the mail. After you equip them, they become legacy-bound, so you can store them in your cargo hold or legacy bank, or send them to your other characters to store or wear. Unlike the randomized armors, they do not have any stats attached to them and are just for looks. As a bonus, they also do not change appearances when you swap them between factions, unlike the randomized gear they are replacing. This opens up a lot of options for creating unique outfits!
There’s over 2,000 “new” Fitted armor pieces made up of old, mostly-retired looks.

What should I do with my Fitted Armors?
Keep them or sell them!
Use in an Outfit
The beauty of these armors is that there are Binds on Legacy on Equip – that means you can easily mail or legacy bank them between your characters as much as you want. If you like the look of any pieces you get, use the Outfitter tab in your character sheet to create an outfit with it. After that, you can either store it away for a future outfit, or sell it to a vendor for 100 credits if you want to get rid of it.
Keep
If you want to collect or keep your Fitted Armors for future use, throw them in the bank. You can store them in either your Legacy Bank or green Personal Cargo Hold bank. If you have multiple characters, you can always throw them into the bank of one of your characters you are playing less, or even create a level 1 character just to hold items in their bank.
Sell
If you plan to sell these Fitted items, DO NOT EQUIP THEM or use them in the Outfitter, or their will be bound to your legacy and characters.
Fitted armors can sell really well on the GTN! Some of them can be worth into the millions and the boxed sets can sell for a lot of credits to collectors.
