The Avalanche Heavy Tank is a rare drop from the Explosive Conflict operation. It drops in all modes but is a very rare drop on the easier modes.
Operation mounts are quite unique and can be earned as random drops directly from the related Operation, or from special difficult achievements. These can not be bought or sold on the GTN - you have to earn them!
Mount Notes:
- Added to the game's files: Patch 1.4
- Bind: Binds on Pickup
- Rarity: Artifact
- Artifact Authorization: Not checked. If you are a free-to-play or preferred player without the unlock, make sure to check if it requires Artifact Authorization before getting it.
- Vendor Sell Price: 5500 Credits (may not be sellable though)

swtorista [June 27, 2025]: Player Report - I am a huge achievement hunter and a guild group of mine formed a raid team in 2021 to farm Avalanche Heavy Tank from Explosive Conflict operation. This is the only raid mount to have achievement points associated with it. I have done EC MM over 300 times, and I've only ever seen the mount drop once. When it did I offered the person who got it 2 billion credits. They were hesitant, and asked if I was for real. I said yes, traded them and got the mount/achievement. They told me they had started the game 6 months ago and saw the mount drop 3 times, winning it twice themselves on veteran mode. That particular player left that operation 2billion credits richer, lol. - Optimal_Smile_8332
rogue.two [June 26, 2025]: I do not have this mount; HOWEVER, I specifically recall seeing it drop in a VM EC. Would have been around June 2023 and I want to say it was on the Tanks. IIRC, it was Silent that got the drop so perhaps you can check with him.
