Galactic Season 9: Trial by Firepower Mission Guide

The new Galactic Season, as always, comes with a new minor storyline that adds some flavor and unlocks some rewards. In Season 9, the Trial by Firepower Mission seems to be revolving around Flashpoints, and we’ve got some consumables on the track just like season 8’s uprising consumables!

How to Start

To begin the missions, you must grab the unlock from your Galactic Season track. It’s sitting on level 1 and is on the free portion of the track, so anyone can do this. Level 1 requires 8 points worth of season objectives – doing any of the weekly objectives will get you there. SWTOR Galactic Seasons Guide and Rewards – Season 9, Flashpoint Resurgence!

Make sure to claim the item on the character you want to do the little quest on. It will become an item in your inventory.

Right-clicking the item to use it will give you a holocommunicator call on your user interface. Left click the yellow chat button to start the conversation.

The conversation is in the form of a Comlink conversation – it is like a text message, with a character named Kai Zykenn, a returning minor character. It is just a bit of flavor text.

The quest will ask you to run a Flashpoint it can be ANY flashpoint, which is great as every week there will be a new flashpoint of the week to run for season progress. Guides for each flashpoint are coming soon, so stay tuned! For now, just opened the activity finder and run whatever the “Galactic Season 9” queue is.

The quest will reward you with three Czerka Experimental Combat Enhancers. (These DIFFER from the ones from Uprisings.)

You can use these in Flashpoints for the rest of the season. Unlike the old uprising item, these have a random chance of giving one of a few different effects:

• Destruction Overload: Every fifth enemy you defeat will explode.
• Projectile Probes / Czerka Combat Drones: Two auto-targeting drones hover nearby and attack enemies.
• Experimental Repulsor Field:You can use experimental repulsor fields to lift a target, then throw them at other enemies.
  

Beware though, as using these buffs also give random enemies the “Unstable Radiation” Buff. This is something you will see on both their buff tray, and as a red glow around their body.

• Unstable Radiation: The unstable nature of your Czerka modfication has enhanced this target to have more health and deal more damage.
  

Deleted Communicator?

If you accidentally deleted or lost your quest item there are two ways to recover it. The first way is through Collections. After you have claimed the [“Galactic Season 9: Trial by Firepower” Unlock] item on any of your characters, on any server, it will become available in your collections. The character who originally claimed it can get a free copy from collections. Any other character (or if you forgot what character you picked it up on) can also get copies – but you need to pay 80 Cartel Coins, and then it will be unlocked for your entire account on all servers, and all your  characters will be able to get unlimited free copies of the quest.

There is not other way to get a second copy or play it on another character except through collections.

Is there anything else to this quest?

Nothing that we know of. This season’s story was incredibly short.
