Outfit: Kebechet – The Progenitor

“In ancient Egyptian mythology, Kebechet was known as the goddess of freshness. She was the daughter of Anubis and his consort Anput, and was thought to assist her father in his role as the god of embalming.–

Her name includes the root of the ancient Egyptian word “kbch” which means “to offer libations” or “to purify” and the root of the word “wt” which refers to the place of embalming–. However, her name also resembles the word “qebeshu”, which means “cold water”. As a result, her name is usually translated as “cooling water”. Kebechet was often depicted as a snake, sometimes with a body of stars. She was also depicted as a woman with the head of a snake.–”

While looking for names for my potential (then) Sith Assassin, I was browsing a list of Egyptian gods and goddesses and came across ‘Kebechet’. What really drew me to the name was the mention of “pure” and “purifying”, her being a Sith Pureblood and all. I eventually deleted the original character, but recently re-rolled her as a Jedi Shadow instead. I think the name (with some of the associations that come with it) works even better on a Republic character!

Once again, I also had a few points I wanted to meet while I made this character and eventually molded her style together:

* Has to be a female Sith Pureblood
* Use a hairstyle I haven’t used before (why does this hairstyle look so mushy on preview but amazing in-game, btw?)
* Non-Jedi colors, and a style that doesn’t scream out “Jedi” by any means
* No lightsaber

NOTE: For the headpiece, I really wanted to grab the diadem from the Devout Overseer set, but at the time I made this character they were going for over 1M+ a piece on the GTN so I opted for a cheaper option. Now the Omenbringer headpiece has kinda grown on me, and in my eyes it’s a very nice and cheap alternative if you don’t mind the different style!
And yes, the chest DOES have a hood. If you want to use it like it shows in this particular style, you NEED to have a headpiece that hides hoods!
