Quick Travel / Taxi

Find the Canopy

Jump Onto the Canopy

Look for what looks kind of like a metal but stop, and use the ammunition cases and shelves behind it to jump on top. You’ll probably want to kill the nearby enemies first to make thing easier.

Wait for the Disc

There is a colorful floating disc that slowly makes a perimeter of the room you’re in. Eventually, it will come close enough to your canopy that you can jump to it. Wait until it descends all the way so it’s at the same height level as the canopy you are standing on, then do a little jump onto it. The disc will not stop, so don’t wait for it to park before you jump on.

There is a good chance you may get stuck in it and it will teleport you down onto the ground. If you are a quick jumper you may have enough time to jump back up there and jump on it before it leaves, if you don’t get stuck fighting the enemies down below.

Ride the Disc

If you do manage to get on top of it, you can ride it all the way to the datacron, which is hidden way up high nearby. The datacron will flow over it, so you’ll need to a gentle jump down onto the datacron’s ledge as you pass by it.

* The Nar Shaddaa Blue Mastery Datacron (Republic) and the Nar Shaddaa Blue Mastery Datacron (Empire) both seem to give Galactic History 33: Dromund Kaas as a Codex as far as I can tell.

This Datacron is sitting up on a lamp post, you may see it from down below while exploring the Nikto Sector of Nar Shaddaa.

Quick Travel / Taxi

Find the Crates

Travel deep into the Nikto Sector, all the way to the north east on the map.

Look for a pile of crates that looks like you could jump on it.

Jump up the crates and then jump up onto the tarp.

Jump from the Tarps up the Support Ropes

There will be some ropes from the tarp leading upwards, jump up onto them and follow them up onto the metal pipe above.

Follow the Metal Pipes

Follow the trail of metal pipes by carefully walking across and jumping up them until you reach a large platform ledge.

Jump on the Ropes to the Lightpost

Follow the large ledge until you can see the blue datacron sparking on a pole with ropes attached to it. You will need to drop down carefully onto the rope. To make things easier, press the slash key above your numder pad on the right hand side of your keyboard to toggle walking.

For the first rope, I had better luck jumping forward onto it than falling onto it, as I hit the ledge and bounced off.

* The Nar Shaddaa Blue Mastery Datacron (Republic) and the Nar Shaddaa Blue Mastery Datacron (Empire) both seem to give Galactic History 33: Dromund Kaas as a Codex as far as I can tell.

This is the only Dark vs Light Datacron that’s only available to a specific faction – Imperial players will not be able to get into the Shadow Town area to find this one.

Quick Travel / Taxi

The Republic [HEROIC 2+] Breaking Down Shadow Town is very close to the datacron, so instead of quick travel or taxi, picks up the Heroic and it will save you a long run.

Travel Deep into Shadow Town

Find the Crates

There is a large pile of crates hidden inside a caged area in the south west section of Shadow Town.

Jump up the crates until you get to a large caged walkway.

Follow the walkway until you see a bridge and cross it.

Across the bridge, you will actually see a blue datacron that is slightly different than the normal datacrons. This is called a “light vs dark datacron” and was part of a now-retired event.

If you keep following the pipes past this datacron you will be on the path of the jumping puzzle for the Red Nar Shaddaa Datacron.

You can see this datacron from a tunnel in the north of the High Security Lockdown – but it’s protected by a red forcefield, so you’ll need to go through the garbage incinerator to get to it from the other side.

Quick Travel / Taxi

Imperial side, there really isn’t a good way to taxi to this one. You can technically take the quick travel to the Network Security District and take the exit that leads to the High Security Lockdown, it’s kind of in the bottom right-ish of the map and is a bit of a confusing run especially if you don’t have the whole map unlocked. A way better choice is to take the Imperial [HEROIC 2+] Building a Better Beast heroic shuttle as it will at least put you on the same map as the datacron, if you do use it just run east to get to the datacron instead of entering the green door.

Find the Ramp

There is a ramp on some crates that can be climbed to the upper level of the High Security Lockdown map, you can find this just south of the Alien Outreach Center on the map.

Take the Elevator into the Incinerator

Follow the catwalk until you find the blue elevator button terminal.

Before you take the elevator, memorize this code: 326:3827.

Once you take the elevator to the Incinerator Room, you’ll be set on fire, and you will need this code to activate the maintenance panel on the other side of the incineration room.

Enter the code 326:3827, which is Star Wars movie reference.

Datacron and Slot Machine

Once you open the incinerator door by putting in the code 326:3827 which will be second in the list of codes, you can then run through and get out of the fire.

Beside the datacron is another object called an Old Slot Machine that is glowing blue. You should right-click this while you are in here, as it gives you an item you need for a Matrix Shard somewhere else on Nar Shaddaa. If someone else has clicked it recently, it’s going to take a few second for it to glow blue and be clickable again.

You can then use the Forcefield Control Console to exit out.

Find Pipe

Jump Down Pipes

You don’t really need to “jump”, just fall down. You can turn walk on by pressing the slash key on the top right of your keyboard, above your number pad.

Take the Unmanned Taxi

You can see this Red Datacron while exploring in Shadow Town, behind a grate in a pool of sewage water, but you’ll need to find a different way to reach this datacron.

If you’re looking just for the boost to your stats and the Galactic History 37: Freedon Nadd codex entry from the Red Datacron on Nar Shaddaa, the Imperial version of this red datacron is much easier to get, and both the stats boost and the codex entry seem to be shared.

Travel Deep into Shadow Town

Find the Crates

You can click this datacron if you want, but to get to the one that we are looking for, you will keep moving past it onto some crates you will use to jump onto some pipes.

Jumping Puzzle

These pipes are the main jumping puzzle. Jump up from the crates onto the first pipe, then follow the pipe carefully. Halway through the long pipe, there will be a l-shaped bent pipe on the wall you can jump up to to continue moving forward and upwards.

From the l-shaped pipe, jump onto a glowing lamp, and from the lamp, jump up on to a slanted ledge up above that has a red glowing strip light on it.

From the ledge, jump onto the zig-zag shaped pipe. From there the path will fork to the left or the right, you’ll want to go left where you can see a bunch of stuff to jump onto.

There are two pipes on the wall you will need to jump between. This is the one I often get stuck at. I found if I back up on the first pipe, and try to jump on the second pipe’s circle, coming at it diagonally, I have the best luck.

Once you are at the end of the jumping puzzle, you can jump up onto the big ledge and there will be an elevator you can take. Once up the elevator, the datacron will be sitting in a pool of technicolor water.

This special Matrix Shard requires that you have collected the Slot Decoder from a previous datacron’s location, where you had to have travelled through an incinerator and right-clicked the nearby Old Slot Machine. Without having click the slot machine, you will not be able to release this Matrix Shard.

Tricky Pipe Jump

I had the most difficulty with this jump here. I went to the end of the first pipe, an aimed my character diagonal so I could get a bit of a run first and then aimed towards the circle that connects the pipe to the wall.

Decoder

If you’re looking for the yellow datacron to boost to your stats or to get the Galactic History 35: The Gank Massacres codex entry, the Republic Nar Shaddaa yellow datacron is slightly easier to get – it still has jumping, but the jumping is not as precise as the Imperial version, and the Imperial and Republic stat boost and codex entry are shared.

Quick Travel / Taxi / Heroic Shuttle

The [HEROIC 2+] Crushing the Jedi Freedom Fighters imperial Heroic shuttle is kinda close if you don’t have the quick travel, you’ll just need to take the elevator back down to the slums map.

Otherwise quick travel or taxi to the Duros Sector.

Find the Giant Pile of Shipping Crates

Jumping Puzzle

Start from some crates in the back of the pile.

Jump to the very top of the pile of crates.

Jump onto the Metal Beams

This is the tricky part. You will need to jump from the highest box to the lowest metal beam nearby. I did my running jump off of my mount, and I gave myself more leeway by jumping at a diagonal to the beam, so I had more room to land on instead of jumping at it straight-on.

You the need to jump on a second beam. This will be one that is closer to a walkway or platform up above. Back up, give yourself space to jump up onto it from your first beam.

Last you need to jump on the third beam connected to the walkway. This jump is similar, back up and give yourself space to jump.

These beam jumps are quite difficult, so don’t be discouraged if you need to redo it quite a few times.

Jump Onto the Canopy

Once you are up on the walkway, jump up onto the little boxes then up onto the canopy, and use it to walk to the next walkway.

Take the Elevator

From there you’ll be able to take the secret elevator up to the Residential Catwalks.

Jump Onto the Pipe

Take care not to fall off, but you’re done with the jumping puzzle, so just get onto the pipe and follow it. From the pipe you’ll be able to get onto another walkway.

Jump Onto the Final Canopy

One more jump and you’re done, jump down to the final canopy and the datacron will be up on a lamp post.

Quick Travel / Taxi / Heroic Travel

If you have the [HEROIC 2+] Nar Shaddaa Blood Sport heroic shuttle, skip the taxi or quick travel, as this will put you right outside the entrance to the datacron area.

Walk through the Red Light District to the Elevator

If you didn’t have that heroic shuttle, you’ll need to go for a walk to find the elevator.

Find the Tarp

There is a tarp on the south section of the Gauntlet map that you can jump up onto, leading you the second level on the catwalks.

After you get up onto the catwalks, there will be an elevator you can take.

The datacron will be at the end of the elevator!
