Balmorra Datacrons Guide

Balmorra datacrons are separated into Imperial and Republic datacrons, as the planet is not technically shared between factions, and the storyline there takes place at two different times for each factions. You’ll notice a lot of the datacron locations overlap – but you’ll want to find all the datacrons on both sides if you want to fill up your legacy list and get all your stat boosts and codexes. There’s a datacron hidden in the Okara Droid Factory down some pipes, a datacron hidden in a locked box on a bridge that requires a Lost Code Cylinder to unlock, a datacron hidden in the hills of the Gorinth Canyon, a Republic-only datacron hidden in a secret colicoid nest and one across a long pipe, an Imperial-only datacron hidden in the Balmorran arms factory, and an Imperial-only Matrix shard behind a force field that requires two characters to get.

Getting to Balmorra – Fly to Balmorra, or to save time, click the icon of “three little people” near your minimap to open the Activities panel, then choose Solo from the tabs at the top, then choose Heroic Missions: Balmorra and click travel to go directly to Balmorra’s surface and skip the space station.

You can see this datacron sitting on a pipe on the wall of the factory on Balmorra, but you’ll need to find another way to get to it, as you can’t jump up high enough to reach it.

This Datacron is in roughly the same spot as the Republic-only Balmorra Orange Mastery Datacron.

Quick Travel / Taxi

Go into the Factory

The Factory isn’t labelled on the map, but it’s a large entrance at the bottom of the Markaran Plains map.

Take the Left Elevator

Take the elevator that’s on the left-most side of the map.

Find the Maintenance Shaft

Once down the elevator walk forwards a bit, and once you see the glowing blue assembly lines, jump down on them to the ground floor, and look for a small door the leads to a vertical maintenance shaft.

In there, you should be able to see the datacron glowing blue-white on top of a pipe lower down in the shaft.

Jump Down the Pipes

You will need to carefully jump down the pipes to get the datacron.

For the first jump, I liked to toggle my walk key on by pressing the / key above the numberpad on the right hand side of my keyboard to make to the jump easier.

For the second jump, I toggled run back on, as I couldn’t make the jump with walk still on.

After the third jump, you’ll be at the datacron.

If you happen to fall, open your map, look for the elevator to go back up, and then go back down the left elevator again and start over.

Walk across the lake to the vendor named Ba’teil, you can see her vendor marker on the map.

You will want to buy a Lost Cylinder from her, it only costs 5,000 credits.

Find the Chest

Tale the Lost Code Cylinder item to a chest that’s glowing blue on a broken bridge in the middle of the Bugtown map. If you have the code cylinder, the chest will open and have the datacron inside!

Find the Neebray Warehouse

Go inside and go up the elevator in the warehouse.

Press the Blue Buttons Together

Up the elevator there will be two buttons. You and your friend need to press them at the same time. There’s a little leeway, but not a lot, so try doing a 3 2 1 Go countdown in chat to each press the blue button.

I tried this datacron out with upgraded Force Speed, and then later with my Phase Walk teleport, but I wasn’t able to go fast enough to get it solo.
