I like to run mind canon of my characters progressing. I had rather rudimentary padawan robes for Tython but upon receiving the rank of Jedi, I upgraded to this outfit. It utilitarian in purpose and design for combat without being overly bulky robes or looking too much like a Jedi Master. The outfit suits the purpose of a Jedi Shadow undertaking missions on planets like Taris and Nar Shadda. Once he achieves the rank of Master, the more traditional robes of a Jedi will likely be adopted.
