-Kalvanti was never fully trusted by his Master who felt only pure humans should be able to harness the powers of the dark side. He still finds himself a slave to his master, and is commanded by the shock collar which has neural connections directly hard wired into the base of his brain. The electrostaff was a gift from his master, more really a slight against him for being born Chiss. “A non-human race should never be allowed to wield a lightsaber”, she said.

Kalvanti believes his master is afraid of his true power.
