Ilum Datacrons Guide

Ilum has three datacrons and two matrix shards, all of which can be found by both Imperial and Republic players. There’s a purple datacron hidden in an exhaustion zone, a green datacron hidden down some elevators in a crack of ice, and a purple datacron hidden deep in a cave in an ice crevasse. The two matrix shards are hidden in the Republic and Imperial bases.

Getting to Ilum – Fly to Ilum, there’s no quick way to get there through Heroics.

  • Ilum Mastery +4 Datacron (Both Factions)
  • Quicktravel: Republic Outpost / Imperial War Camp
  • Taxi: Republic Outpost / Imperial War Camp
  • Location: Eastern Ice Shelf - southeast corner past an exhaustion zone
  • Difficulty: Easy - can walk right up to it
  • Codex: Galactic History 83: The Republic Rebuilds

Quick Travel / Taxi

For Republic players, this will be fairly close to where you load in to Ilum, for Imperial players this will be a very far run south.

Find the Exhaustion Zone

Run around the pillar of ice

  • Ilum Datacron (Both Factions)
  • Quicktravel: Republic Waystation / Imperial Base Camp
  • Taxi: Republic Waystation / Imperial Base Camp
  • Location: Eastern Ice Shelf - west end of an ice shelf next to an elevator
  • Difficulty: Medium - jump up onto the ledge and path over
  • Codex: MISSING

Find the Elevators

Jump onto the Ice Ledge

  • Ilum Endurance +4 Datacron (Both Factions)
  • Quicktravel: Republic Waystation / Imperial War Camp
  • Taxi: Republic Waystation / Imperial War Camp
  • Location: Eastern Ice Shelf - bottom of a ravine accessed by elevators
  • Difficulty: Easy - can walk right up to it
  • Codex: Galactic History 84: The G0-T0 Coup

Find the Lifts

Go Down the Elevator

The Datacron is hidden deeper in the crack in the ice.

  • Ilum Mastery +4 Datacron (Both Factions)
  • Quicktravel: Republic Waystation / Imperial War Camp
  • Taxi: Republic Waystation / Imperial War Camp
  • Location: Eastern Ice Shelf - tunnel in the northeast corner
  • Difficulty: Easy - can walk right up to it
  • Codex: Galactic History 87: A Wayward Apprentice

Quick Travel / Taxi

For Republic players, this one’s going to be a really long run.

Find the Ice Ramp

Enter the Crystal Tunnel

Sneak Past the Creature

Killing the creature is part of another achievement on Ilum though.

 

  • Ilum Red Matrix Shard Datacron (Both Factions)
  • Quicktravel: Republic Outpost / Imperial War Camp
  • Taxi: Republic Outpost / Imperial War Camp
  • Location: Eastern Ice Shelf - Republic Base Camp, on top in a hut
  • Difficulty: Easy - can walk right up to it
  • Codex: Galactic History 85: The Purge of the Dark Council

Quick Travel / Taxi

For Republic players, this will be very close to where you load in to Ilum, for Imperial players this will be a very far run south into enemy territory.

Find the Tent

Datacron’s in the tent.

 

  • Ilum Yellow Matrix Shard Datacron (Both Factions)
  • Quicktravel: northwest of spaceport / Imperial Base Camp
  • Taxi: Republic Waystation / Imperial Base Camp
  • Location: Eastern Ice Shelf - building with a single imperial in it
  • Difficulty: Easy - can walk right up to it
  • Codex: Galactic History 86: The Empire’s Revenge

Quick Travel / Taxi

For Republic players, this will be very far run north into enemy territory, but for Imperial players this datacron will be right where you load in.

Find the Building with the Datacron

Republic side it’s quite far up in enemy territory, but you’ll only need to fight one enemy Imperial Guard.
