Quick Travel / Taxi

Republic side, [HEROIC 2+] Invisible Foes heroic shuttle is closer if you don’t want to try jumping around the broken ship in the north to get to the Star of Coruscant.

Imperial side, [HEROIC 2+] The Big Find heroic shuttle is very close to where you start the datacron hunt and will save you a lot of running time.

Run to the Starship Graveyard

Run very far to the large downed ship in the Starship Graveyard, to the far north east corner of the map.

Jump Up the Ledge

Your goal is to try to get to the ice bridge that goes over the entrance to the heroic area.

To get on it, you will need to travel deep into the heroic area. Look for the first purple orb artifact and the ledge to jump up to the trail is just past that on left.

Once up there you can double back and travel towards the ice bridge and the giant crashes ship while up high on the ledge.

Then you can drop down onto the ice bridge and cross the gap, which will be the first difficult jump of the jumping puzzle.

After crossing the ice bridge gap, you will need to drop down onto the ledges below.

Follow the Star

Once you have made it onto a ledge of the Star of Coruscant, the large crashed ship in the Starship Graveyard, your goal is to follow the ledges until you eventually reach the datacron.

Just keep following the ledges to the south. Some of the path ways are very close to the edge and you must go very carefully. You can press the slash key on your keyboard, above your number pad on the right of your keyboard, to walk slow and give yourself more control if you need it for those tight rope walks.

At the end of the first ledge, you will come to a spot where you can not go any further forward. If you look down to the ledge below you, you will see a ledge made of snow and ice down below that goes further forward. You will need to carefully drop down onto this ledge. Make sure to heal up after you fall. Keep going forward south.

You will need to carefully jump across some of these gaps, make sure to turn the walking key off any time you need to jump. Once around that ledge made of snow and ice, you can drop down back onto a new ledge of the Star of Corsucant ship.

On this new ledge, you will eventually meet a little staircase of snow and ice, carefully jump up it.

There will be a gap at the end of the staircase you need to jump across, and you’ll start hearing the datacron at this point.

Keep following the path south carefully jumping over any gaps. After you pass the snow staircase where you can hear the datacron, you’ll follow another ship ledge, and get to another snow staircase. This one is important. This one has two paths you can follow – one is to jump down to the Star of Coruscant again, and the other is to jump upwards. You want to jump upwards up the snow staircase so you can double back and go get the datacron by jumping up then following the precarious path north. Eventually you’ll be able to drop down right on top of the datacron!

Run to the Starship Graveyard

Run very far to the large downed ship in the Starship Graveyard, and head to the southern most path and entrance in to the Star of Coruscant, the giant crashed ship.

Go inside and take the elevator

Walk all the way inside the building and at the end there will be a slow-moving elevator to the second level. Take the elevator up, and then you will see the datacron in the distance and see a bunch of slow moving shipping crates hanging from the ceiling. You will need to jump onto these shipping crates to get to the datacron.

(Alternative Route) – Jump onto the crate at the back of the room from the walkway

This datacron is supposed to be gotten by doing a multi-step process involving jumping on a bunch of moving shipping crates. However, there is a trick you can do to bypass two of the three steps to this puzzle and save a lot of time and patience.

Go to the opposite side of the room from the elevator, and look for a shipping crate that is slowly moving up and down. Once it is at the lowest point and has stopped fully, you can take a running jump off of the walkway, jumping over the railing, and aim to land on the little indent or pipe on the side of the shipping crate. If you land correctly, the game will glitch you on top of the moving shipping crate, and then you can carefully jump off the shipping crate once it reaches the highest point it gets to and has come to a full stop.

This is not the route that you are supposed to take, and its taking advantage in a glitch in the moving terrain, but I figured I’d include it as the normal path can be quite tough.

(Traditional Route) – Jump on the Load Lifter

To solve the puzzle the traditional way, you’ll need to start at a different point.

To get high enough to jump on the first shipping crate, look for a farm tractor load lifter. You can jump up it to jump up onto some shipping crates, and up some small crates until you can eventually jump on a ledge that goes around the wall and carefully walk around the ledge, until you jump onto a shipping crate that will line up well with the first moving shipping crate.

Wait for the first moving crate on the corner of the shipping crate it will stop near. Wait until it comes to a complete stop. Then you can easily jump onto it. Once you are on the moving crate, just wait patiently as it moves across the room, and once it comes a complete stop, jump off it onto a nearby shipping crate on the ground.

Jump onto the second moving crate

Wait until the next moving crate gets close, and once it comes to a complete stop, jump onto it.

From the second moving crate, you will jump onto the third moving crate, which is moving up and down in front of the datacron. You will want to jump onto the third moving crate once it has stopped at its lowest point and you are close to it. It’s the most difficult jump in this datacron, so feel free to not jump the first time you get close so you can get a feel for it. Once you are on the third moving crate, you can wait until it reaches its highest point, and then jump off it onto the ledge – the right-hand corner of the crate will be an easier and closer jump to the datacron.

This interesting datacron requires that you first fight an Ancient Probe Droid and recover a Depleted Datacron item, then you can go charge up the datacron at a station in the Star of Coruscant.

Travel / Taxi to Ancient Droid

If you don’t already have a Depleted Datacron in your inventory in your Missions tab, you wil need to go find and kill the Ancient Droid.

The closest Republic quick travel point is the Drift Hills Republic Depot quick travel point and the closest taxi is the Drift Hills Republic Depot Speeder speeder point, both in the west / left of the map – to find the droid.

The closest Imperial quick travel point is the Drift Hills Imperial Outpost quick travel point and the closest taxi is the Drift Hills Imperial Outpost Speeder speeder point, both in the west / left of the map – to find the droid.

Ancient Probe Droid

Run to the far west of the Clabburn Tundra map. You are looking for a special enemy called an Ancient Probe Droid. It is a floating droid with red mist around, moving very fast up and down the most western edge of the Clabburn Tundra map. Sometimes it will be near the Star fortress alliance alert building, sometimes it will be near building to the north, and sometimes it will be dead because another player killed it recently.

Once you eventually find it, by walking around along its path, and by changing instances if you’d run the whole path and still don’t see it, you’ll need to fight it – it’s quite a hard fight if you’re low level or not very experienced at combat, so make sure to bring a friend if you think you’ll need help, but I think most high level characters should be able fight it alone if they are careful and smart. Once you kill the droid, and loot its body, you will get a special Depleted Datacron item. This item can not be bought, sold, or traded but it can be put into a guild bank for others to use.

Republic [HEROIC 2+] Invisible Foes is much closer than the taxi / quicktravel.

Once you are inside the entrance of the Star of Coruscant, look for a ramp leading up to a platform on the right, an right-click the glowing blue panel called “Coupled Recharge Station”. Once the datacron has been charged up, you can then collect the datacron!

This Matrix Shard is trapped in a pocket of ice, and you must use a special item to free it.

Pick up a Hydro-thinner

In the cantina in the base where you first load into the planet, visit the Cantina and purchase a Hydro-thinner from the Vendor behind the bar. The Hydro-thinner item is required for this datacron, and costs 18,000 credits.

This item can not be bought, sold, or traded but it can be put into a guild bank for others to use.

Quicktravel / Taxi / Heroic Shuttle

Republic side, the [HEROIC 2+] Gamorrean Menace heroic shuttle is faster.

Get to the Ice Overhang

Use Hydro-thinner to free the Matrix Shard

Run to the far south of the Highmount Ridge map. While running along the trail, marked as an orange dotted line on the map, you’ll see a glowing white matrix shard trapped in ice, under an icy overhang.

If you have the Hydro-thinner in your inventory, you will be able to go free the Matrix shard just by right-clicking the ice-trapped datacron.

Quick Travel / Taxi

There’s no super-close quick travel, so you’ll need to go to the farthest east quick travel or taxi and double back a bit to the previous map.

Find the Satellite Dish

Climb the Ledge

Climb up the path until you find a platform with a giant satellite dish.

Right behind the satellite dish is a ledge you can jump up onto, and follow around the mountain to the left. Climb as far as you can, until you reach a stopping point, then you will try to fall down onto a ledge below.

Follow the path forward after that into an ice tunnel, and the datacron is at the end of the tunnel!
