Raised as a Jedi, Marina Dao began work as a Shadow at a young age, acting as an investigator against sinister organizations throughout the galaxy. After experiencing some extreme missions, she realized that she did not fully believe in the Jedi Code and what the Order stood for. During her next undercover mission she went MIA, detaching herself from the Jedi and going into hiding. She eventually found herself on a planet controlled by pirates, with whom she began to associate, going by the name of Dot.
