Get Down Emote
The Get Down emote in Star Wars: The Old Republic is a Subscription emote you can get for your character.
You can find the Get Down emote in the Dances section of the emotes panel, or type /getdown in the chat panel and press enter.
This emote is different on male and female characters. The female version is based on the Cabbage Patch dance with a little wave thrown in.
How to Get the Get Down Emote
The Get Down emote is only available to subscribers, and will not work if you try to use it on a free-to-play or preferred account.
Emote Chat
When you use an emote, text will be displayed in orange to both you and others in the chatbox to anyone who is nearby. You can also select another player, character, or NPC before you use the emote to change what shows up in the chat. This is the text shown by the Get Down emote in chat.
What you see, with no other character or NPC selected: You show everyone how to move.
What you see, when you have another character or NPC selected: You show _ how to move.
What other players see, with no other character or NPC selected: _ shows everyone how to move.
What other players see, with another character or NPC selected that isn't them: _ shows _ how to move.
What another player sees, when you have them selected: _ shows you how to move.
