Vine Cat

The heavily armored, sharp-toothed vine cat can pounce up to eight meters and has been known to tear a sleen apart in less than ten seconds. Its armored frill and hide protect it against larger predators such as the jurgoran, and its claws make it an expert climber when it needs to get away. A patient handler can form a strong bond with their vine cat, training them to perform multiple tasks.

How to get the Vine Cat Companion

The Vine Cat companion is a Cartel Market companion, which means it originally comes from the ingame Cartel Market, and can be obtained four different ways - bought on the GTN, bought or traded from another player, bought directly from the Cartel Market for cartel coins, or found by random chance in a Cartel Pack.

GTN: The Vine Cat companion can be found on the GTN, which is an auction house where players can buy and sell companion contracts and other items. To find the GTN at level 10 or higher, look for the Galactic Trade Network section of the Republic or Imperial Fleet. The price and availability will fluctuate with what other players have to offer, the rarity of the companion, and its desirability. companions seem to range a lot in price.

Cartel Market: The Vine Cat Companion may be available for direct purchase from the Cartel Market with Cartel Coins. Cartel Coins can be bought with real money, subscribers receive 500 per month, players with a security key earn 100 per month, and you can also earn Cartel Coins through achievements. Items are regularily rotated in and out of the Cartel Market, so the Adno Firewasp may or may not actually be for sale on there on any given day. If you can't find it on the Cartel Market, you will need to buy it from the GTN.

Cartel Packs: Ultimate Packs are an item that can be bought from the Cartel Market, and contain random items from the Cartel Market. The Vine Cat companion is one of thousands of possible items that could be dropped from an Ultimate Pack.

A companion's strength in battle is not determined by their gear, instead it is boosted by their Influence Level. A companion's Influence Level also affects their crafting and gathering speed for crew skills, and their crafting critical chance. Most companions start at Influence Level 1, and you can raise their influence level by making decisions they approve of in cutscenes, or by giving them gifts they enjoy.

The higher rank the gift is, and whether they like, favorite or love it, will affect how much Influence they gain from a gift. Gifts that Vine Cat can gain Influence from are listed below along with how to get them.

Boost Vine Cat to Influence Level 50: You can make your companion incredibly strong by boosting them up to influence level 50. Using a Companion Compendium is the fastest way to get to Influence 50 and levels your companion to influence level 50 immediately, without using gifts. You can either get one in the Strongholds section of the Fleet for 3 Dark Projects plus 4.25 million credits, or buy them from the Cartel Market / GTN.
