SWTOR Ranked Rewards

Ranked PvP is the competitive mode of player-vs-player content in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Below are some of the rewards players could earn through Ranked PvP over the years, and many are now rare and retired. There are three sections – the first is by item type with screenshots of all items, the second is by season a list of all the new items introduced that season, and the final section has information that the developers posted about each season and their thoughts on the changes in PvP rewards over the years.

UPDATE December 2022, the end of Ranked PvP:

• There will be no Season 15 or future Ranked seasons.
• There is no replacement for competitive PvP or leaderboards.
• Ranked Tokens are going away, and players who have some will need to have spent them before Update 7.2. They were not replaced or converted to the new PvP Tokens.
• Why is Ranked PvP, Ranked Tokens and Leaderboards going away in SWTOR?
• Some Ranked Rewards will become PvP Season Rewards purchasable with PvP Tokens earned through PvP Seasons.
  • Armor, Weapons, Crystals, Mounts, the Pet and most decorations are on the PvP Seasons vendor
  • Season-Specific Flairs, Season-Specific Titles, Wall Season-Specific Trophies, and Season-Specific Battle Flags and some decorations are not on the vendor
• PvP Seasons are unrelated to Ranked Seasons, and can be completed with casual non-competitive play.

This is a complete list of all old ranked rewards available in the game. Some are retired, and others are available through PvP Seasons.

Armor

Ranked PvP armor is some of the most coveted armor in the game, and some of the rarest armor you can earn in the game. There has only ever been five types of Ranked PvP armor released: the original Victorious sets from Season 1, the Furious sets from Season 2, Baron Deathmark’s Huttball Helmet from Season 2, the Resourceful Renegade Armor Set which was released in later seasons, and the Airborne Invasion set from Season 13.

Weapons

Ranked PvP weapons are some of the most-wanted weapon sets in the game. There are seven different Ranked PvP weapon sets: Victorious, Furious, Gladiatorial, Predacious, Commanding, Centurion Defender, and Precise Insurgent. Each set has one of each weapon type, some were sld individually while others were part of a packaged lockbox with each kind in it.

Crystals

Ranked color crystals were introduced in Season 3, and are some of the rarest color crystals in the entire game. They are bind-to-legacy, and come in a lockbox that contains two of each kind. Season 10, 11, 12 and 13 did not have new ranked color crystals added.

Flairs were added late in the game’s lifetime, and were only added as PvP rewards starting in Season 8. There’s a flair for each bronze, silver gold and platinum for each season. You can view the flair graphic that shows up on your rollover tooltip and in your nameplate by clicking the flairs below.

Ranked Season 1 Info

Greetings PvPers!

With the culmination of Season 1 quickly approaching, we know there is a lot of interest in what this season’s rewards will entail. Firstly, the end of Season 1 will come with Game Update 2.7 and your rating when the servers come down for the update will determine which Tier you are in and what rewards you gain! The higher your Tier the better your rewards!

One important note before we get to the brake down of rewards is that the rating we are using to determine the Tier you are in is Highest Earned, not Current, so no need to feel like you are risking Rating by going after the next Tier up! Go Berserk!

To see your Highest Earned Rating check the Warzone Rating and Stats page in the Warzone Queue GUI. The Rating displayed on the Leaderboards are the Current Ratings, not Highest Earned. Speaking about Leaderboards, once Season 1 has come to an end all Ratings will be reset and the Season 1 Leaderboards will be archived off so you can always look back at who was tops in previous seasons.

(Also note that players that are caught abusing Ranked play to adjust Rating will be disciplined and will receive no rewards from Season 1.)

Tis the season for furious action! We hope everyone has been enjoying Season 3 thus far and ready for more intense action as we get closer to the wire. Giradda and Baron Deathmark have once again graciously opened up their personal collection of antiques and prized possessions to honor the glorious entertainment you are obliged to offer!

Hey all,

As you have noticed by the reward table in the reward blog there are a few changes we’ve made for Season 4. Our thought process for these changes is such that it should lead to a better player experience and we hope that we accomplished that. Please post your feedback and let us know what you think! Now let’s look at the specific changes for the Season 4 rewards!

* Black-Silver Color Crystal lockbox – The lockbox is setup like the color crystal lockbox from last season; two crystals each of the four (+41) stat types. The notable difference is that this lockbox is going to be a staple reward every season to give players a staple reward to go after season after season. However, one pitfall we saw last season was that players saw a low-hanging fruit reward and wanted it so bad that they were willing to jump into Ranked head first, sometimes without looking where they were jumping beforehand. That caused many frustrations in solo queue. To alleviate this, the Seasonal crystal lockbox will be given out to Tier 3 (Bronze) players in the group queue only.

* Minimum rating for Tier 3 (Bronze) – It is our thinking that this change will discourage players from coasting through their first 10 games to get a rating just to get their bronze rewards. The floor may change in the future but based on what we’ve seen this season and previous seasons it is a good start to give incentive to not coast through. If it doesn’t fulfill the goals of providing incentive not to coast to rewards then we will adjust the ratings accordingly or enact other measures.

* Golds get everything Silvers get, Silvers get everything Bronze gets – Don’t like the way the gold frame on your trophy clashes with your rug? The Bronze title flows with your name better? No worries in Season 4 (and onward unless feedback dictates otherwise) whatever tier you place in you will get the rewards of the previous tier. Huzzah!

Ranked Season 6 Info

The current Ranked Warzone reward system indirectly promotes players to stop queueing after they have gotten to the tier that they feel they will end up at for the Season, which lowers the amount of people who participate for the duration of the season. To combat this we wanted to give reasons to queue for the entire season without implementing something draconian-esc as rewards for playing each day of the season. We have come up with a system that we feel gives players a reason to play all season long and keep the Ranked population competitive and having fun.

Ranked players will no longer receive specific item rewards at the end of the season for reaching a certain rating in a Ranked Season. Instead, players will be granted a number of Season-specific tokens based on the tier of rating the player achieved. These tokens will be used to purchase the ranked rewards the player wants after the season has ended. For example, if you don’t like the Silver tier title, the Bronze tier title can be purchased instead for less tokens. In addition to receiving a large amount of Season-specific Tokens at the end of the season based on the tier placed (enough to buy the entire tier of rewards), players will now receive these season-specific tokens for every match they play based on match outcome and performance medals. A player that wins the match with max medals gets a larger amount of Comms than a player that gets the minimum number of medals and loses, at roughly a 1:18 ratio. We believe that this system of awarding Comms based on performance of the team and the individual will create a distinction between just playing and playing well.

The intention here is to encourage players to be engaged over the length of the season and continually attempt to improve and compete at a higher skill level. The better you are and the more you play, the more rewards you will be able to purchase. Since highly skilled players can still play the minimum number of games and earn the Gold tier rewards at the end of the Season, we feel this is the best of both worlds of rewarding both skill and time investment.
End of Season Rewards will be available for purchase from a vendor in the Combat Training area of each fleet for the entirety of the following Season. For example, Season 6 rewards will be available during Season 7 and will be removed from the vendor when Season 8 starts. If you have unused Season tokens they will be converted automatically into Warzone Comms when they can no longer be redeemed for Season Rewards. This gives players a large window to purchase the Season-specific rewards and still get something back from leftover, unspent Tokens.

In addition, there is at least one Reward per tier that is exclusive to the tier (cannot be purchased) so you can still show off that you earned the Reward based on skill alone.

As a few examples of the participation level needed for the Gold tier mount, a player who does not place in Bronze or above would need to play more than 60 games per week for the entire season at a 50% win rate, earning max medals each match, while completing every daily and weekly to purchase the mount (but if they lost every game and got the minimum number of medals it would take about 5000 games in a season to accrue the Comms needed). This gets easier for players that place in rating tiers, but a Silver rated player would still need to play more than 18 games a week, winning half their games, achieving max medals each match, completing every daily and weekly for the entire season while not purchasing any other rewards to afford the mount. These numbers are ballpark but we feel that they have a good balance between being physically obtainable so players will feel like they have the ability to achieve them, while still being a significant challenge and investment.

One more note, Top 96 players will be rewarded enough Season-specific Comms to purchase every reward for the season, in addition to their exclusive reward. They are the cream of the crop and have earned it.

In Season 6 there is a brand new tier exclusive item – The Battle Flag of Recognition – that can be used to place a holo-flag over a fallen enemy in either appreciation of the honorable fight or recognition of the user’s supreme skill. The flag can be earned in either a Bronze, Silver or Gold version but all are a great way to stand out on the battle field.

We will be showing off the Battle Flags, Trophy Frames, Weapon Set, and Mount rewards at a later time. Stay tuned and get in there and go berserk!

Predacious weapons

These weapons do have effects that are not visible here as well as the guns having attachments for moving parts. The lightsabers have no attachments (no moving parts) but do have effects. Shoto lightsabers have a shorter blade.

Unique tier reward is “Predacious Bronze/Silver/Gold Battle Flag of Recognition” that you can use on a dead enemy player. It’s either Bronze, Silver or Gold depending on the tier you made it into. Lasts 15 seconds, bound to legacy. Looks like the existing Republic / Empire banners.

Ranked Season 10 Info

Greetings PvPers! Season 10 of Ranked PvP is set to end with the launch of Game Update 5.10.1. Just as a reminder, after Season 10 ends all Season 9 tokens will be converted into credits. This will be your last chance to redeem these tokens, don’t miss out!

Season 10 marks the first time that cross-faction play has been a part of Ranked PvP. With more competition comes a couple of changes to how we breakdown rating tiers. First, each tier now has different rating requirements for Solo and Group play. This is due to overall rating differences between these gameplay types. Second, rating requirements across the board have lower requirements so be sure to double check where your characters fall!

Another change you will notice is that the number of Ranked Tokens earned in each tier has been lowered. This is because starting with the end of Season 10, Ranked tokens are no longer season specific, don’t expire across seasons, and can be used to purchase any available rewards! Season 10’s unique item, the Resourceful Renegade Armor Set also has a lower price than other Seasonal rewards (50,000 tokens) to match the reduced Token rewards.

One thing we have always received a lot of requests for is players to be able to acquire old Seasonal rewards that are no longer in the game. Starting with the end of Season 10 we will begin bringing back old rewards, starting with Season 1! This only includes the items that were purchasable (listed below), items such as titles that were earned by rank are not returning.

Given the exclusive nature of these rewards however, we want to be sensitive to those players who earned them back in Season 1. Returning items are clearly marked as Replica, to be distinguishable from the originals. Although prices are not locked down just yet, these returning items are going to be priced at a premium. It is intended that an average player will have to play over the course of more than one season to acquire them. Lastly, any player who earned these rewards in Season 1 will receive a special Achievement to mark the accomplishment. Here are the rewards:

Season 11 will begin two weeks after Season 10 ends. During this two-week grace period we will be investigating any remaining player reports of cheating. In the instance of finding such cases appropriate action will be taken up to and including character ranks being reset. This will affect the leaderboards and associated rewards, especially the top 96. All tier rewards and top 96 will then be granted upon the start of Season 11.

A new vendor called Tullek the Evocii will be appearing next to Giradda the Hutt at the start of Season 11. Tullek will always be selling the prior seasonal rewards and they will not be taken away. If players are seeking the new seasonal rewards, Giradda the Hutt will have them. Players only have a few weeks left before the end of Season 10. Get in there and claim rightful glory in Giradda’s Arena of Death!

Rewards

By competing throughout the Ranked Season, players earned tokens that can be traded in for rewards. Tokens are not season specific, so if there’s an expensive reward you really want, you can save up across multiple seasons. This season’s rewards fall into two categories: Precise Insurgent’s Weapon Set and Replica Season 2 items.

The new weapons from Season 11 will be offered at a discounted price until the end of the next Ranked Season.

At the end of Season 10, we brought back replica versions of previous Ranked Season rewards. These items look and function the same as the originals, but are branded “Replica” to maintain the prestige of the original Season rewards. This season we have another Replica set of items available for purchase: Baron Deathmark’s Huttball Helmet and Giradda the Hutt’s Pleasure Barge Decoration.

Please note that when these rewards become available, their Season 10 counterparts (Resourceful Renegade Armor Set, Stronghold Decorations, and Replica Season 1 items) will increase in price. At that point, all Season 11 rewards can be purchased from Giradda the Hutt! For those still interested in the Season 10 or Replica Season 1 rewards, they will be moved to Tullek the Evocii, who can be found right next to Giradda.

Season 12

Now for the million credit question: when will Season 12 start? Season 12 will be starting in December! This will give players time to experiment with Set Bonuses and Tacticals and find what works best for them.

Throughout the course of Season 13 and into the start of Season 14, we’re bringing out all of the remaining Replica rewards. No more waiting for the one you’ve got your eye on to come back each Season! Here’s more information on the order they’ll return and their costs:

Tier Requirements

Lastly, we wanted to share the Season 13 tier requirements. While we won’t know the rating requirements until later in the season, here are the adjusted win requirements:

• Bronze: Rating requirement + 20 wins (down from 25).
• Silver: Rating requirement + 40 wins (down from 50).
• Gold: Rating requirement + 80 wins (down from 100).
• Platinum: 160 wins (down from 200) + be one of the top 3 rated players for your Class amongst the players with at least 160 wins.

The dust will soon settle, as Season 13 of Ranked PvP is slated to end in February with Game Update 6.2.1! Only a few weeks are left, so get in those final matches while you can! As this season wraps up, let’s look at the ratings breakdown and what new rewards players can expect to earn.

Veteran PvP players may notice that Ranked Token grants have drastically increased. Due to the number of replica rewards that we’ve recently added, we felt that increasing the seasonal payout was warranted.

New Rewards

While competing during the Ranked Season, players earned tokens that can be traded for rewards. Tokens are not season specific, so if there’s an expensive reward you really have your eye on, you can save up across multiple seasons.

With the end of Season 13, we’re introducing  the final batch of replica rewards from past Ranked Seasons. These items look and function the same as the originals, but are branded “Replica” to maintain the prestige of the original Season rewards. Ranked PvP Season 14 starts this week!

Ranked PvP Season 14 will officially start tomorrow with the launch of Game Update 6.3 “The Dark Descent”! Rewards for players who achieved Bronze, Silver, and Gold ranking in Season 13 will be waiting in your mailboxes following tomorrow’s scheduled maintenance. For those who climbed to the very top and obtained Platinum ranking, rewards will go out in the near future. As we kick off the new season, let’s talk about what rewards Ranked Season 14 will offer.

We’re slightly adjusting how we communicate the rewards for reaching Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum rankings. Rewards for each ranking will be communicated at the start of the season in addition to revealing the new rewards. This way, players will have a better understanding of what rewards they can aim for!

Hi everyone, we’ve been seeing sentiment from players asking/wanting the ability to buy replica rewards with payouts from Season 14.

Wanted to confirm that players will be able to buy the replica rewards with the payouts from season 14 until the next season starts. This is for both Top 3 and bronze/silver/gold. Should that change, we will let players know.

We do not have a set date in which season 15 will begin, but there will be a decent amount of time in between so players will be able to make the purchases they want. We will, of course, be communicating when the next season starts and all relevant info when we are able.

As of now, this would include Top 3. Should that change, we will communicate that to players. I will also update my original post with this info.
