Character Modernization Updates on the PTS Now!

Hey everyone!

The Public Test Server is now open! As stated in the PTS article that was released, this iteration of Character Modernization updates will have two main focuses:

• Face smoothing. This will apply to Human, Cyborg, Miraluka, Mirialan, Togruta, both Zabrak versions, and Chiss.
  • Note on Chiss characters: this does not address the splotchy skin textures
• Neckline seam improvements for female and male player characters

This means that players will not see changes with the following issues:

• Splotchiness textures on vibrant colored skin such as Chiss characters
• Minor geometry issues in areas such as around ears
• Parity between character models shown in the preview window and in-game

The team is still working on these improvements and updates. We will communicate when these updates are ready to be released.

Important notes for this round of PTS

• We will keep the PTS open for Character Modernization review/testing until April 3rd.
• Once PTS closes, we will prepare to reopen the server with Relentless Replication Master Mode. The exact day and time on when this content will be released is TBD.
• Seeing additional updates to Character Modernization when we release RR Master Mode will be dependent on feedback received and when we can implement changes.

Known Issues

• Players will continue to see neckline seam issues with some companion characters
