SWTOR Leveling Tips

  1. No matter how you play, you will level up very fast. All quests in the game are designed to offer more XP than you need to be the correct level for the planet you are on. You will also still receive XP if you are overlevelled for an area.
  2. Follow the purple quests to play your main class story and main planet story. Doing all these quests should give you enough XP to be the correct level for your next planet.
  3. You will gain a new ability or be able to upgrade an existing ability every time you level up, so make sure to visit your Class Trainer, usually located on the first map you load in to a planet on.
  4. Gear is not very important while levelling and you should be able to complete all main questlines with whatever gear you pick up along the way dropped by enemies or rewarded from quests. However, if you would like to upgrade your gear, you can do so on the Fleet.
