Wreckage on Dantooine Map
Are you the kind of player who enjoys finding every quest and secret in the game? This interactive map of the Crash Site Outpost on Dantooine has every point of interest marked so you can find your way around more easily in Star Wars: The Old Republic.
Zone Buffs

The Dantooine Dynamic Encounters take place in a hazardous area of Dantooine, the Dantooine Biomes, where dangers like freezing, acid baths, lava and the mysterious sporefall poison can harm you before you ever even run into an enemy. As you rank up your Galactic Sustainability Institute Reputation, and explore the area, you’ll get access to a bunch of different buffs and unlocks that make the area easier. This guide is purely about the buffs and unlocks.

Spore-Tending Units

The Spore-Tending Units in the Dantooine Biomes are dangerous floating droids that give off a toxic debuff that will quickly kill your character if you don’t take the right precautions. While you are mostly supposed to avoid them as a hazard in the area, there are two special secret hidden achievements called Spore Thing and Violent Tendencies you can get by gathering a group up and defeating them.

Reputation Vendors

Inside the main hangar when landing on the Dantooine Crash Site, you’ll find a lady simply named “GSI Material Support”. This vendor sells not only reputation rewards but many buff unlocks for improved quality of life while doing your Biomes missions for the day.

Travel

Most planets have multiple ways to get around besides on foot or speeder – you can take the taxi points and fly around, the quick travel point which are an instant teleport, or the heroic shuttles / transports which are granted when you pick up heroic quests for the planet.
Taxis in the biomes are NOT unlocked by default. You need to buy a pass (they aren’t permanent, either) once at the Friend reputation rank. Then, you can click on and use speeders located at each camp.
Quick travel points are unlocked once you have walked near the quick travel point at least once. You can find your quick travel by pressing ‘p’ on your keyboard and going to the ‘General’ tab. Dantooine Biomes only has the one quicktravel located in between each of the three biomes. There isn’t even a quicktravel back to base.
Dantooine Biomes does have these new tunnels located in each biome that can also help you get around, but they also require a pass, bought from the reputation vendor at Champion rank reputation. These cost 60,000 a pop and are consumed on usage. Hope it wasn’t a two-way trip!
Secrets
No Sense of Direction

On a very rare occasion, you will see a lost Researcher, often near one of the glowing blue terminals hidden around. When you select them and get close, you can “give directions” to them to help them get back to their camp. Then they run off. If you manage to find them all over time, you’ll get the No Sense of Direction secret hidden achievement.

To get the secret Level Five Geological Aptitude achievement, you’ll first need to find the hidden secret Level Five Geological Aptitude Badge, then find the hidden Rock in the Dantooine Biomes area. While this achievement does not require you to find them, there are also a bunch of scattered Datapads telling the story of why there’s a strange rock hidden out in the middle of nowhere, and how to find it if you aren’t following a guide or are naturally curious about exploring.

Located on the Research Camp Perimeter, you can jump in it and… well at least the first time you jump down there, you might not die! This will give you the achievement Well, Well, Well.
