Crew Skill Mission Lore

The Crew Skill Mission Prompts when you send your companions out in Star Wars: The Old Republic to gather materials have small stories attached to them that each have a little bit of lore related to the Old Republic. While these little story prompts have nothing to do with the actual in-game mechanics, they do give some nice flavor text for players who enjoy world-building in the Old Republic time period!

These also make great roleplay prompts for players looking to make their own stories within the framework of the existing era, and even the developers have expanded some of these prompts into real characters or scenarios in later expansions, drawing from the rich expanded lore mentioned in the prompts. Crafting skills, including Artifice, Cybertech, Armormech, Synthweaving, Armstech, and Biochem, do not have missions attached – your companion simply crafts the item with no lore prompt.

Thank you player Ashnox Blackstar for creating and sharing this list for other lore-lovers to enjoy!

Archeology

Archaeology is the study of crystal formations and archaeological finds. Crystal formations contain crystals that an Artificer can use to construct lightsaber modifications and armor for Force users. Archaeological finds contain artifact fragments of Force-imbued technology. These valuable items contain ancient formulas and algorithms used in the crafting skills Artifice and Synthweaving. Archaeologists can send their companions on missions to gather resources.
