Ossus Epic of the Exiled Knight and Dawn of the Exiled Knight Secret Achievement

The Epic of the Exiled Knight and Dawn of the Exiled Knight Secret Achievement is a hidden set of journals and a hidden Jedi to find on Ossus. Finding all four journals will get you the first achievement worth 10 achievement points, and finding Don, the Exiled Knight himself, will grant you a copy of The Exiled Knight decoration for your stronghold.

Map

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part One

The first of Don’s hidden journal pages scattered throughout Ossus. Republic and Imperial players can both arrive at the Ancient Catacombs Quicktravel and head to the section of the waterfall where it splits into three streams for a bit. Under the right-most falls, there’s a secret alcove with the book.

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part Four

The second of Don’s hidden journal pages scattered throughout Ossus. Imperial players can enter the cave north from Canyons Camp while Republic players likely want to come at it from the Dead Forest/Into the Hive area. Inside, find a book submerged in the water between two rocks along the north wall of the tunnel.

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part Twelve

The third of Don’s hidden journal pages scattered throughout Ossus. This book is stashed inside of a round bag filled with fresh farm crop. Being in the middle of the farm area, Republic Players can immediately head to it from the Farms Quicktravel. Imperials can use the Supply Heist heroic or their own quicktravel so long as they stay out of the republic base and go around.

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part Seventeen

The final part of Don’s hidden journal pages scattered throughout Ossus. Both factions can use their Expel the Darkness/Consume the Light heroics to travel right near the area. To enter the sand-filled secret spot containing the book, head to the middle (seemingly dead end) of the intersection between the jedi temple and the heroic instance wing. There is a pot you can jump onto that will let you jump over the temple walls and into this secret space. This is the same secret area described for the Ossus Datacron.

Don’s Location

An additional secret achievement will be awarded for finding him here (on a rocky cliffside just below a large statue in the northeast corner of the Canyons Map). Note that all four journal pages from “The Epic of the Exiled Knight” need to be collected before you see him here.

Journal Entries

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part One – On Ilum, war brought ruination to a sacred Jedi world–and to my own life as a member of their order. I merely did what had to be done, as I explained to the Council. They were unswayed, and so I persevere, alone in a harsh galaxy.

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part Four – In the Order of Revan, I found sympathetic minds. Rishi, a paradise by any standard, was our fastness against a galaxy gone mad. But it could not last. Stranded in the aftermath of their downfall, my only path forward was among the planet’s scofflaw denizens. As a member of the Corellian Run Scoundrels, I continued my path ever onward.

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part Twelve – The carbonite finally melted away, years later. I was left adrift in a galaxy I no longer understood. Where could I go? Who could I fight for? Rumors told of Jedi in hiding, rebuilding. Perhaps I could rebuild among them.

The Epic of the Exiled Knight: Part Seventeen – I found them, at last; the ruins of an ancient order, hidden among the ancient ruins of their order. Surely my past, my actions, had been forgotten? They had not. And so I wander once more. Exiled.

When you find all of the journal entries and receive the first achievement, once you find Don, he will say:

Don the Exiled Knight: My path… must be mine alone.

Don’s Origin

Don, the Exiled Knight, is actually a really silly joke based on a post a player made on social media about the amusing phrasing in a Cartel Market promotional image, which the player titled as, Forget Satele, Revan, Malgus and Marr; Don the Exiled Knight is the new galactic legend!

The developers must have run across the post and were also amused, and added Don in as an actual character in the game rather than just a Cartel Market model, and even gave him a bit of backstory and a little treasure hunt achievement, about half a year later.

If you enjoy fun stories like this, the player who originally posted it, Intisar, wrote all about it in his blog post Exile’s End at This Week in Aurabesh!
