Retired Black Hole Armors in SWTOR

Black Hole Armor is now-retired armor that was introduced to the game in Update 1.2 and was designed for characters who were level 50 from endgame PvE content. These armors are Bind on Pickup, which means even if you happen to have this old armor in your Cargo Holds, it can not be sold or given to another player, and can not be sent to your other characters. There is no way to get the old level-50, Update 1.2 versions of the Retired Black Hole armor anymore, but there may be some look-alikes available that were introduced later so players could collect them as cosmetic looks - these similar look-alikes may have Retired Black Hole in the their name, or may have a completely different name. The original level-50 Retired Black Hole armors changed their looks depending on what faction you had earned them on, but any later look-alike sets may stay the same reagrdless of faction, so you might be able to find a version that you can wear on the opposite faction with the same look. Black Hole armor dropped from Explosive Conflict Story Mode and Hard Mode, and gear could be purchased directly from the Black Hole vendor with Black Hole commendations, mainly earned from the Corellia Black Hole daily area. Explosive Conflict and the Corellia daily area no longer reward Black Hole gear, so this gear is effectively retired, except when you may occasionally see it drop from a World Boss like Nightmare Pilgrim, and it's well known that the Primal Destroyer boss also can drop Black Hole armor. Interestingly, it seems the Black Hole Belt, Bracers, Weapons, Earpiece, Implants and some offhands were reverse-engingeerable and could be learned as crafting schematics. All Black Hole pieces are Binds on Pickup, except there are Binds on Equip versions of the Belts and Bracers that were craftable, so you could potentially find someone with these very old schematics, though thre was a known bug/issue with reverse-engineering at the time so finding someone with these schematics would be incredibly rare. If you are trying to get black Hole pieces from world bosses, keep in mind that there is a special group bind timer - that means you can trade within your world boss group until the timer runs out - so if you see a piece you want drop within your group, you could always message then winner and offer to trade them for the piece right after beating the boss. you can see what pieces drop in the Other tab of your chat if they are not immediately visible in your chat box.
