Side Effect
The Side Effect is a Galactic Seasons Track blaster rifle that can be found in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The Side Effect can be worn at any level in the Outfitter - it's a cosmetic weapon, and has no stats attached to it. This item is legacy bound, which means it can transferred between your characters by mail or legacy bank.
How to Get: Galactic Seasons (Season 8 Track Reward)
This is a direct screenshot of the Side Effect! The file name is side-effect-4238-thumbnail.png - as long as I named it right and didn't mix up its name with another weapon, this should be an exact screenshot of this weapon, which I or another player actively owned.
Sound: Tayfield
All Blaster Rifles with the Tayfield sound type have the same sound, including the Side Effect. This isn't the official name, and this Blaster Rifle sound type may be labelled something like weaponrangedrifleelite04 in the background of the game.
I do not have a video of the Side Effect, but you can watch a video of the VL-25 XT Plasma Core Rifle weapon to hear the Tayfield sound type, which is the same as the Side Effect.

Galactic Seasons are limited-time events that run for 5 months and cover a wide variety of activities. Track rewards are only available during a specific season, and are then retired.
Retired - How to get the Side Effect
The Side Effect was only available on the Season 8 track - it is no longer available to be earned outside of that season. It is essentially retired for players who did not earn it during Season 8.
Identical Weapons
These weapons will have an identical or very similar look to the Side Effect. There's no real name for the appearance, but I've labelled it uniquerifle_gs08_a01_v02 which may be a name I call all identical weapons, or a name in the game files.

Similar Appearance Weapons
These weapons will have a similar appearance to the Side Effect, either in the same family of weapons or have some similar features. There's no real name for the appearance type, but I've labelled it rifleUprising which may be a name I called all similar weapons, or a name in the game files.

These Sniper Rifle weapons will have the same sound as the Single Dose. There's no real name for the sound, but I've called it 'Tayfield' it may be called something like weaponrangedrifleelite04 in the game files.
