Date Night Companion Missions in Star Wars: The Old Republic are designed to give players personal time with their love interests. These weekly repeatable Alliance Alert missions feature fully-voiced, cinematic-only scenes that are unique to the partner’s interest, whether that’s going out for drinks at the cantina, a thought-provoking game of Dejarik, or maybe even some sparring practice. The custscenes are very short – only a minute or two long, but very sweet, cinematic, and fully voiced. Update for Update 7.8.1.

How to Start

If you are eligible for a “Date Night” quest with Theron, Lana, Koth or Arcann, you can find it in your Alerts area in your Companions window (press “N” on your keyboard). It will have [Date Night] at the beginning. To start it, click the big purple Travel to Alert Location button.

Didn’t romance anyone? Lana Romance Bug awesome!: If you have already moved past Chapter 9 of KOTFE, and didn’t romance Lana, there is a fun bug right now! You can REPLAY Chapter 9, and when you get to the option to speak with one of your companions, choose Lana, [Flirt] with her, and say yes to the Romance. This will permanently place you in a romance with Lana Beniko and allow you to start her [Date Night] quest! This is great for players who maybe didn’t romance anyone but wanted to see a Date Night quest. I am unsure how this bug would affect characters already in a romance, so only do it if you aren’t worried about your character being in a romance with Lana. This does not seem to work for other companions.

How to Repeat

The Alliance Alert will only show up ONCE to help you get started.

To repeat the quest, go to your SHIP and re-find the little datapad in your ship’s bedroom with a quest marker over it.

The quest is repeatable once per week, and seems to reset every Tuesday (with other reset events).

Date Night not showing up?

• Date Night quests are repeatable once per week only. [Likely reset Tuesdays.]
• These Date Night missions will only be available to players who are currently in a romance with these companion characters. No romance, no date night.
• Date Night missions only show up when the character companions are currently present in the story. (So try starting a different Chapter – maybe they are not available in the chapter you have open.)
• Date Night will not work if you used a Character Token (ex Commander’s Token or Outlander Token) and skipped past the story where you would start a romance. Using items that automatically complete story content will not unlock Date Night Missions, as the default choices that are made do not focus on character romances.
• If your companion is unavailable in the story, that companion’s Date Night Mission will not be available.
• Will playing Date Night affect my character’s story progression or relationship status? Though it will not affect your relationship status, Date Night Missions will always be available while the romance with the companion is active.

Arcann

• Must save Arcann on Voss In Chapter 1 of Knights of the Eternal Throne
• Must complete the Knights of the Eternal Throne expansion
• Must complete “Unmasked Regret” Alliance alert and [FLIRT]
• Then you can do [Date Night] Dueling Hearts
• Make sure you don’t have Arcann as your active companion when you go into the instance

Lana

• You must have successfully started romance with Lana in Chapter 9 of Knights of the Fallen Empire
• Then you can do [Date Night] Dejarik for Two

Theron

• You must have successfully started romance with Theron in Chapter 9 of Knights of the Fallen Empire
• Theron must still be your companion in the story.
• Then you can do [Date Night] You Work Too Hard

• You must finish Chapter Chapter 9 of Knights of the Fallen Empire

Vette

• You must have been in a romance with Vette during your class story as a Sith Warrior.
• You must have successfully resumed your romance with Vette  in Chapter 13 of Knights of the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion.
• Then you can do [Date Night] Vette at the Museum

Aric Jorgan

• You must have been in a romance with Aric Jorgan during your class story as a Trooper.
• You must have successfully resumed your romance with Aric Jorgan in Chapter 11 of the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion
• Then you can do [Date Night] Target Practice

Torian

• You must have been in a romance with Torian during your class story as a Bounty Hunter.
• You must have successfully resumed your romance with Torian in Chapter 14 of Knights of the Fallen Empire
• In Chapter 8 of Knights of the Eternal Throne, the player must have chosen to have Torian remain with their party.

For anyone who maybe hasn’t played through the bounty hunter story yet, Torian is a Bounty Hunter specific companion character, who then comes back during the events of KotFe as the leader of his clan, which is Clan Cadera. That clan’s got a very interesting, colorful past, lots of drama happening there, that obviously affects Torian. And that’s kind of the theme here of, this date is about identity, specifically Mandalorian identity and being in a clan and what it means to lead. And these are all things that Torian is going to chat with the player about while cooking and making a traditional Mandalorian dish called Tingalar, which is a very, very spicy dish. That’s one of Torian’s favorites, and the player and he get to spend some time making this dish together.

This Date Night will have an achievement with a reward of Torian’s Cutting Board, a decoration, for completing his date night 5 times.

Kira

• You do not need to have originally romanced Kira in your Jedi Knight story but…
• You must have successfully resumed or started your romance with Kira as a Jedi Knight in the Onslaught expansion
• You likely must have completed the The Padawan Returns alliance alert that comes at the end of Onslaught and locked in your romance with Kira rather than denying her
• Then you can do [Date Night] The Strength of Devotion

We also have Kira Carsen. Kira is a Jedi Knight companion. She has gone from Padawan to Jedi Knight to just going around the galaxy trying to solve problems. [Spoilers] She came back in during the Echoes of Oblivion Story, she had found where the physical body of the old Sith Emperor was and needed the players’ help to eradicate it. She’s really grown into her own as a Jedi. In this date night, you’re going with her to Tython to help repair some of the damage to the Jedi, buildings and, and things around there that all the things that have happened. Lots of things have happened on, on Tython. She’s there in the reconstruction efforts, and this date revolves a little bit about around not only her coming into her own as a Jedi, but also as potentially a leader, a mentor, what her path is forward now that she’s matured and like sees where she wants to be within the Jedi order.

This Date Night will have an achievement with a reward of Restored Statue, a decoration, for completing her date night 5 times.

Other Companions

The developers goal is to release 1-2 Date Night Missions alongside Galactic Seasons with the intention of having a polished and unique scene for every companion. They want to strike a balance in the order that we release class story companions, so hopefully your favorite companion is in the next batch we intend to release. There are about 28 romanceable companions and the developers were hoping to release more date nights in the cadence of 1-2 Companion Date nights per Galactic Seasons. We do not know when the next date nights will come.

After a number of playthroughs of the missions, players will be granted a unique title and decoration that embodies their special dates.
