Both infamous and anonymous at the same time, Bounty Hunters are far more than mercenaries for hire. Tracking elusive targets across multiple star systems requires expertise, especially when the targets can be prominent, powerful, and often prepared for a fashion showdown.
In this list I’ll be going through my top ten favorite hunter armors in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and how to get them. While watching, don’t forget that you can use the Outfitter to change the appearance of your armor without losing the stats of your equipment, so you can wear these awesome bounty hunter sets without sacrificing any good armor you’ve picked up along the way. These armors are also not locked to just the Bounty Hunter class – you can wear most of them on any type of character.
Before I go through this list, one really important note – there is a TON of really cool Mandalorian-themed armors in the game. This list is going to be specifically about non-Mandalorian sets, because not every Bounty Hunter is a Mandalorian.
Contents
#10 TT-17A Hydra Armor Set
The TT-17A Hydra Armor Set is going to be the closest set you’ll see on this list to a Mandalorian armor set – and even it doesn’t have the classic T-shaped visor. It is however a classic Old Republic Mandalorian style of armor, and there’s a bunch of different versions of it in the game for the bounty hunter. This one however has a fantastic color palette in teal and aqua, and is incredibly easy to get – you can pick it up in the Supplies section of the Imperial Fleet from the Adaptive vendor for only 2,500 Credits per piece, and it’s even legacy-bound.
#9 Silent Ghost’s Armor Set
The Silent Ghost’s Armor Set is the least armored set on this list, and really embodies that idea of a silent killer when it comes to bounty hunting, and comes with a pretty cool helmet. This is common Cartel Market set, which means you can likely pick it up on the GTN for a few credits compared to some of the other cartel sets I’ll be showing off later.
Headhunter Armor Set
The Headhunter Armor Set has a similar style, with its close-fitting armor and wrapped cape. This one however is a set that you earn through the Rishi Reputation track, a set of short daily quests you can work on over time.
#8 Outer Rim Hunter’s Armor Set
The Outer Rim Hunter’s Armor Set is a special set that is tied to the reoccurring events in the game. Most event armors require that you earn currency from the events over time, then use the currency to purchase the rewards from the event that you want. The Outer Rim set is different because it requires a huge pile of currencies from three different events, so it’s very uncommon to see this set worn by players. This set also has a really interesting set of… wings? on its back.
- 155 Rakghoul DNA Canisters (Rakghoul Event)
- 133 Completed Bounty Contracts (Bounty Event)
- 102 Gray Helix Components (Gree Event)

#7 Woads Instinct Armor Set
The Woads Instinct Armor Set is very strange, and is loosely based on the bounty hunter named Dengar in The Empire Strikes Back. About the farthest you can get from the Mandalorian aesthetic, this set merges the movie inspiration with the mechanical, grungy, weathered style of the Old Republic bounty hunter. This set was actually end-game armor for the Bounty Hunter in the Rise of the Hutt Cartel expansion, but now you can get this glowing version as a crafted set from the S3T-BNS vendor. The armormech schematic costs 10,000 Tech Fragments and 1 million credits, and can only be worn by Vanguard / Powertech / Commando / and Mercenary combat styles.

Remnant Underworld Bounty Hunter Armor Set
The Remnant Underworld Bounty Hunter Armor Set is the same shape but might be easier for you to get – but it’s a random drop from the heroic boxes you get from running heroics at level 61 or higher.
#6 Vandinite Asylum Armor Set
The Vandinite Asylum Armor Set takes the grungy metallic mechanical look for the bounty hunter to an extreme, turning them into the perfect bounty-hunting machine. This set is fairly easy to get as all armormechs can craft it once they reach armormech level 520, so you might even be able to find it directly from the GTN for credits.
#5 Prime Centurion Armor Set
The Prime Centurion Armor Set is a completely different take on the Bounty Hunter – instead it leans into the ancient warrior concept that bounty hunters often take on in the Old Republic era. This set is inspired Enoch and the Night Troopers from the Ahsoka TV Series, with its cracked armor repaired in the Japanese style of Kintsugi, where broken items are mended with golden lacquer to make them more beautiful and unique than before they broke. This is a fairly expensive Cartel Market set, so don’t expect it to be cheap on the GTN for credits.

Shadeveil Assassin Armor Set
The Shadeveil Assassin Armor Set is another great set if you like the idea of dressing like an ancient enemy going after their foes. This set was designed as a PvP Season reward, and this version requires you to earn 6 PvP Seasons tokens by playing PvP during an active season.
#4 Cyber Agent Cloaked Armor Set
The Cyber Agent Cloaked Armor Set is a really versatile Cartel set, and it even comes with both a cloaked and uncloaked version. I’ve seen some really nice mix-and-match outfits put together with this set, especially the cloaked chestpiece. This set also has some really cool animated effects too – when you enter combat or draw your weapon, the helmet closes shut to protect you, and even the bracer changes to a combat screen. The entire set also has a yellow coursing animation line running through the armor pieces.

#3 Bionic Raider Armor Set
The Bionic Raider Armor Set is an expensive Cartel Market armor set that a lot of players really like to create mix-and-match bounty hunter and Mandalorian sets with. The especially interesting part of this set is the helmet – if you choose to use it, when you enter combat, the red “eye” will pop up and actually become a little droid that follows you around, perfect for tracking down your targets.

#2 Bestial Champion Armor Set
There are a lot of different Bounty Hunter and Mandalorian sets that incorporate different parts of trophy beasts, and the Bestial Champion Armor Set is one that takes it a step further with an animalistic mask. Unfortunately, this specific copper-colored version is retired, but if you PvP, you can get the recolored sets for only 6 PvP Tokens each. On the vendor, there’s both a blue-and-green version, and also a glowing version that you can buy.
Bestial Warrior and Armor of the Beast – 6 tokens each

Tribal Champion Armor Set
The Tribal Champion Armor Set is another set you might like to mix-and-match with if you like the beastial sets – this one has a plumed cape, and is loosely inspired by the character Enfys Nest from the Solo movie. This one’s a cartel set, and shouldn’t be too hard to find on the GTN for credits.

#1 Electric Gaze Armor Set
The Electric Gaze Armor Set is one of the more obscure sets on this list, not only because of how you get it, but also because it is likely inspired by the character Marchion Ro from the High Republic book, Light of the Jedi. This legacy-bound set drops in pieces from specific Dynamic Encounters as an uncommon drop, especially from enemies with a gold star in their nameplate – but you can also sometimes find these pieces on the GTN. I love this set for the bounty hunter because of its unconventional inspiration source, but also because of its high-detail textures and great default color choice.

I hope you enjoyed this list of my top ten favorite bounty hunter armors in the game!
This is an updated version of my original list – and includes all kinds of interesting obscure armors I’ve discovered since then, and some of the newer sets that have been added to the game, but if you want to discover more armors, explore the original top ten list!
