Top 10 Imperial Agent Favorite Armors in SWTOR

The Empire dominates scores of star systems across the galaxy, but not through the power of the dark side alone. Behind the scenes, the cunning Agents of Imperial Intelligence track down and wear the Empire’s finest armor lines. Imperial Agents must master the arts of seduction, assassination, and good fashion sense to advance the Empire’s causes.

In this list I’ll be going through my top ten favorite agent armors in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and how to get them. While watching, don’t forget that you can use the Outfitter to change the appearance of your armor without losing the stats of your equipment, so you can wear these awesome agent sets without sacrificing any good armor you’ve picked up along the way. These armors are also not locked to just Imperial Agents – you can wear most of them on any type of character.

#10 Ascendancy Soldier Armor Set

Ascendancy Soldier Armor Set

The Ascendancy Soldier Armor Set is only found as a randomized drop from the A Traitor Among the Chiss’s first and second bosses. This set is binds-on-pickup, so it can’t be bought or sold – if you want to get it, you’ll want to run through the Flashpoint on any mode including story mode until you get the pieces you want. In return, you might get lucky and get this unique Chiss-themed black and yellow set for your agent.

Ascendancy Outcast Armor Set

Ascendancy Outcast Armor Set

There’s actually a second less common set that drops from this Flashpoint – the Ascendancy Outcast Armor Set ionly drops from the A Traitor Among the Chiss’s final boss and its bonus boss. While the headpiece is very strange, the caped chestpiece is quite nice. Don’t forget you can hide the hood  with a circlet, or just be a Twi’lek, Nauoltna or Togruta.

The Pragmatic Master heapiece would probably be my pick for a helmet-hider for this set – it’s simple, thin, and doesn’t look like something a Jedi would wear.

#9 Remnant Underworld Agent Armor Set

Remnant Underworld Agent Armor Set

The Remnant Underworld Agent Armor Set is a really nice looking Agent set, and one of the few on this list that isn’t purely black and white. It’s sleek chestpiece design is tailored for the stealthy agent or sniper, but to get it, you’ll need to run heroics at level 61 or higher until you get lucky and it drops.

Precise Targeter Armor Set

Precise Targeter Armor Set

There’s actually an even cooler version of this set called the Precise Targeter Armor Set , but it costs  10,000 Tech Fragments and 1 million credits from the S3T-BNS Vendor, and at the time of recording this, can only be worn by the Scoundrel / Operative / Gunslinger / Sniper combat styles at level 75 or higher. If you do meet those requirements though, this red version of the set has some fantastic built-in glowing effects in addition to not requiring any random drops from heroics.

#8 Fitted Bonadon Fiber Mesh Armor Set

Fitted Bonadon Fiber Mesh / Fitted Bonadon Sector Ranger's Armor Set

The Fitted Bonadon Fiber Mesh Armor Set is a sleek black-and-gray bodysuit that shouldn’t be too hard to find on the GTN for credits – you can look for the Bonadon Fiber Mesh version or the Bonadon Sector Ranger set, since both sets have the same look. When I looked these pieces up while making this list, the chestpiece was a whopping 55,000 credits – Fitted armors are a great way to gear up without breaking the bank, and they’re even legacy-bound once you find them.

#7 Covert Cipher Armor Set

Covert Cipher Armor Set

The Covert Cipher Armor Set is tailored towards the career Agent, and is a sharp take on the classic agent uniform. While this set may look plain at first site, where it really shines is when you pull out your weapon or enter combat – if you have the headpiece equipped, a floating probe droid will join you and follow you around.

#6 Enigmatic Operative’s Armor Set

Enigmatic Operative's Armor Set

The Enigmatic Operative’s Armor Set is a fan-favorite for the agent, and also dyes really nicely if you’d prefer it in darker colors. This is a Cartel Market set, so if you like it – or the previous Covert Cipher set – you’d pick it up either on the Cartel Market for cartel coins or on the GTN for credits.

#5 Concealed Bodysuit Armor Set

Concealed Bodysuit Armor Set

It has some strange color choices by default, but the Concealed Bodysuit Armor Set is a staple if you’re going for the classic spy catsuit. This close-fitting set dyes really nicely, and tends to mix and match well with other sets.

Revealing Bodysuit Armor Set

Revealing Bodysuit Armor Set

The Revealing Bodysuit Armor Set is the same shape, but has extra cutouts, if you’re looking for a set that might double up as clubwear. Just like the other set, it accepts dyes really well. Both of these are cartel sets, so make sure to check both there and the GTN.

#4 Intelligence Officer Armor Set

Intelligence Officer Armor Set

The Intelligence Officer Armor Set is another cartel agent set that’s a twist on the classic agent uniform, and is often dyed.

While the helmet for this set is uh… something, there is a really cool set of goggles in the game that I wanted to show you.

Nightfall Operative Glasses

Nightfall Operative Glasses Armor Set

The Nightfall Operative Glasses are based off of a disguise from the Andor TV series, and you can even dye the frames. They are fairly expensive on the Cartel Market or GTN for just being a pair of glasses, but I’ve found them really versatile for a lot of different outfits.

Nightshift Tech Armor Set

Whenever I see those glasses, I always think of the Nightshift Tech armor set from the Dantooine farm event that only comes around once per year – if you earn enough tokens, you can pick up this binds-on-pickup set that really seems tailored for the agent.

#3 Tempest Warden Armor Set

Tempest Warden Armor Set

The Tempest Warden Armor Set is one of the more unique armor sets in the game, and would be perfect for an agent hidden in a sniper’s nest in the forests of Dromund Kaas. While not directly inspired by any of the looks from Jedi Fallen Order, many players like to dye this set and cosplay as Cal Kestis.

#2 Imperial Director Armor Set

Imperial Director (no cape) Armor Set

The Imperial Director (no cape) Armor Set is loosely inspired by Director Krennic from the Rogue One movie, and includes both a caped and uncaped chestpiece. This simple set is perfect if you’re looking for a set more similar to those seen in the movies, and is another cartel set.

Fitted Bonadon Rigorcord Armor Set

Fitted Bonadon Rigorcord Armor Set

If you’re looking for something less expensive, fancier, or more in-line with the Old Republic era version of the Imperial Agent uniform, the Fitted Bonadon Rigorcord Armor Set is often pretty easy to find on the GTN, and is even legacy-bound.

#1 Mullinine Onslaught Armor Set

Mullinine Onslaught / Alusteel Onslaught Armor Set

The Mullinine Onslaught  Armor Set is a simple, inexpensive crafted set but it’s made it’s way all the way to the top spot for my favorite Imperial Agent outfit in the game. This streamlined classic Imperial Agent armor set only requires Armormch level 110 to craft, so even if you can’t find it on the GTN, almost any Armormech crafter in the game should be able to make it for you.

I hope you enjoyed this list of my top ten favorite agent armors in the game!

This is an updated version of my original list – and includes all kinds of interesting obscure armors I’ve discovered since then, and some of the newer sets that have been added to the game, but if you want to discover more armors, explore the original top ten list!
