Quesh Datacrons Guide

Quesh only has three datacrons, all of which can be found by both Republic and Imperial players. The green datacron requires two or more players to activate a gas chamber together, the orange datacron requires some jumping, and the red datacron is found at the end of a limestone path.

Getting the Quesh – Fly to Quesh. There’s no easy way to get there with Heroic quick travel. You will need to be at least level 33 to get the Quesh Datacrons, as you can not go to the planet’s surface until you have completed a short quest on the space station called Quesh Inoculation. If you have a guild summon, you can bring a low-level character, as long as they have their ship, by summoning them straight onto the planet surface.

This Datacron was actually designed with three players in mind – one to open the door, and two to be inside to press the two buttons. however, you can do it with two players, or, if you’re especially quick, with just one character.

You can see this datacron while exploring Quesh inside a pipe with bars over it, but you’ll need to find another way in.

Find the Tunnel

Lock the door to turn on the gas, and Unlock the room

Once you reach the middle of the tunnel, there will be an interesting room. It will have a blue button on each of the two entrances to the room – it doesn’t matter which one you try to enter through.

The idea is that your two friends would run into the main room in the center of the tunnel, and you would stay outside and lock them in with the blue button at the entrance, which will also turn on the deadly gas in the room.

Your two friends would then go and press the blue buttons in the center of the room. They must be pressed very close in time to each other, one after the other. You will hear a beeping sound when you press the first one, and then your friend will want to press the second one before the beeping sound goes away. If you do it correctly, you will hear a sound like a large piece of machinery powering down, and a new door nearby will be opened and your two friends inside will then be able to get the datacron.

Luckily, at a high level, the gas won’t kill you, no matter how long you stay in there, but you’ll still need to solve the puzzle with the two buttons.

If you have only two players to solve the puzzle with, you can still do it quite easily, but you have to do a trick with the door. You’ll need to have your friend stand all the way inside the center chamber, and you’ll stand just inside where the door would close and press the button from the inside of the door. When you first try it, you’ll notice the blue button will not look clickable – this is because there is a pipe blocking your clicking path. You will need to rotate your camera so you’re looking from above, like you’re looking from the ceiling, so you can click the blue panel from the other side of the pipe. This will lock you and your friend inside, and then you can go each press one of the blue buttons.

Where it gets really fun is if you are playing completely solo. First, you’ll need to lock yourself inside just like you would if you have two players. The hard part is pressing the two buttons – if you’re by yourself, it takes too long to just press one button and then run over and press the other. However, if you use all speed and movement options available to your class you should be able to do it. The first step is to figure out which movement abilities you have. Some classes have a teleport option, other classes have a speed boost option, while others have something that lets you dart forwards or backwards quickly. The second thing you need to look into if your Utilities. Press K on your keyboard. Some of the optional abilities on the right side of the screen will allow you to move or run faster ,or make some of your abilities faster than normal. The most common class to do this on is the Jedi Consular Sage or Sith Inquisitor Sorcerer who would be able to teleport between buttons, and another easy option is the Imperial Agent Sniper or Smuggler Gunslinger also has a similar teleport option they can use, but every class should have enough tools to make this datacron work solo.

Republic side, this datacron is near where you load in.

Imperial side, thus one is quite far north.

Run to the Start of the Hill

And follow the hill to the right.

There’s technically another way up, on this pipe, but I found it much easier to backtrack up the hill.
