SWTOR Patch 7.3: Old Wounds now on the Public Test Server!

It’s time to return to Voss and make sure we iron out those glitches ahead of 7.3’s launch! Posted on the official SWTOR PTS Forum, there are a ton of pinned developer posts made for specific kinds of feedback that they are looking for! 7.3 Content is now available on the PTS!

Hi everyone,

7.3 content can now be tested on the Public Test Server! As always, please be sure to read all of the information and instructions below before jumping onto the PTS.

What will be available to test are the following pieces of content:

  • The new landing zone called the Interpreter’s Retreat
  • Non crit path missions via mission terminals
  • Shrine of Silence Flashpoint
    • Story Mode
    • Veteran Mode
    • Master Mode
  • PvP Map Changes
  • Class balance changes
  • Economic Balance Changes
  • Progression updates

What will not be available to test are the following pieces of content:

  • PvP Seasons 3 track

How to set up for the Public Test Server

First, if you’ve never tested anything on the PTS before, be sure to read through the Getting Started on the PTS post. If you are wanting to start from level 1, be sure to not use any level boost tokens as this is a test environment!

That said, character copy will be available for this phase of PTS for those who would like to utilize it.

When logging into the PTS, players will be directed to travel to the Interpreter’s Retreat area from the starter planet. A vendor will be made available at the landing zone to provide gear. As stated above, only the non crit path missions will be active during the test phase. Players can obtain these missions via the mission terminals found in the landing zone.

In order to queue up for the Shrine of Silence Flashpoint, players must use Group Finder. This will be set up so that players will only see Shrine of Silence to ensure that they queue up for the appropriate Flashpoint.

Please note that incomplete assets will be marked with WIP or Placeholder nameplates.

7.3 PTS Known Issues

Hello everyone,

This post will serve as a one stop check-in that will provide a snapshot status report of all components that are being tested in PTS for Game Update 7.3: Old Wounds.  Expect this post to be updated on an ongoing basis to reflect changes and updates regarding PTS as time passes.

Known issues:

  • There may be instances where the Trade Window will not work
  • In the mission Exercising Judgment, VO may not play or may not be synced with the droid’s movements.
  • The Curse character model is not final
  • Several VFX in the Shrine of Silence Flashpoint are not final
  • Combat VO is missing for Mystic Duo boss fight
  • The Curse spawning and death animations are not final
  • Proper loot dropping for the Mystic Duo boss fight is not hooked up
  • Mystic Duo boss fight NPCs are missing their casting animations
  • Overcharged Cells Package grants 6 stacks instead of 3
  • There is no cinematic when traveling to Voss Interpreter’s Retreat
  • The warzones PvP Maps are not displayed correctly
  • Defeating the ball carrier in PvP Arenas doesn’t grant the correct amount of points
    • Quesh Huttball: only grants 500 points instead of 700.
  • Guarding a bunker grants points only to the player that has conquered the bunker in Novare Coast map
  • Keeping alive at least three Corrupted Mawvorr Mauler doesn’t grant the Achievement
  • The augment vendor on Voss is a little touchy and only accepts conversation from their good side

PTS: PvP Map Changes Feedback

Players can provide feedback on the Map changes coming to 7.3.

As stated on the live stream here is a list of all the map changes coming in the 7.3 PTS. We appreciate your feedback on these changes.

Voidstar:

  • Defeating attacking players near the doors will grant +500 defender points.
  • Defeating defending players near the doors will grant +500 attacker points.
  • Guarding the doors will now grant +700 defender points up from +500 defender points every 30 seconds.

Huttball (All Maps):

  • Defeating a player outside of your endzone or in the enemies endzone will grant +500 attacker points.
  • Defeating a player within your own endzone grants +1000 defender points.
  • Defeating the enemy ball carrier grants +700 points.
  • Defeating the enemy ball carrier within your own endzone grants +7000 points.

Novare Coast:

  • Defeating attacking players near a bunker controlled by your team will grant +500 defender points.
  • Defeating defending players near a bunker controlled by the opposing team will grant +500 attacker points.
  • Guarding a bunker controlled by your team will grant +700 defender points up from +500 defender points every 30 seconds.
  • Actively capturing a bunker will grant the player or players +1000 attacker points points and an additional +1000 points for actively capturing the bunker.
  • Players who do not finish the capture process but are near the bunker will receive the +1000 attacker points when their team captures a bunker.

General

  • Do the changes to combat styles create any friction in your rotation? Is so, can you try to identify the pain points?

  • [Annihilation Marauders / Watchman Sentinel] Does the minor change to rage generation have a positive, negative or neutral effect on your rotation? Why or why not?
