How to Gear Up Fast with Subscriber Tokens! (September 9 – December 9, 2025)

News Date: September 9, 2025 Patch: 7.7.1b News Source

From September 9 to December 9, 2025, active Subscribers can get a new type of Log In Reward named Subscriber Login Tokens in Star Wars: The Old Republic. Subscribers who log in at least four times a week will receive these tokens and will be able to redeem them at the Subscriber Token Vendor. When you log in for the fourth time within the week, you’ll get 6 tokens you can spend.

One of the rewards you can buy is level 80 gear – and with a few tricks, you can turn just two pieces into almost a full set of gear for all of your characters! If you do not have Hyde & Zeek already unlocked, here’s how to gear up super fast with this event.

Update: I’ve had so many of you report in that this trick worked great for you! I’m so happy! :) – Swtorista

1. Get At Least 4 Subscriber Tokens

Log in 4 days within one week (reset is Tuesday) and on the fourth day, claim your tokens from the bottom right of the Login Rewards screen, which you can find in the main menu under the icon of a person.

2. Find the Subscriber Token Vendor

To turn in your tokens for 340 Rakata Gear pieces, head to the Republic or Imperial Fleet and look for the Subscriber Token Vendor. They will be located on the stairs between the Combat Training section and Strongholds and Crew Skills section.

3. Buy Two Rakata 340 Pieces with Tokens

To fully unlock Hyde & Zeek, vendors who sell level 80 gear for credits, you would normally need one 340 blue piece and one 340 purple piece (aka Rakata) that you would earn over time then turn in.

In this case, we are going to use two 340 Rakata pieces (any kind) that we purchase from the Subscriber Token Vendor. They will cost you 2 tokens each, for a total of 4 tokens.

4. Visit Hyde and Zeek

Hyde & Zeek are two questgivers who give you a quest for level 80. You are actually going to do two seperate quests for them.

5. Zeek’s Deconstruction: 340 Prototype

When you speak to them about the quest, you want to pick up:

[Accept mission] I’ll return with the parts you need for 340 Prototype modifications.

6. Deconstruct the first 340 purple Rakata piece

Once you have the quest called Zeek’s Deconstruction: 340 Prototype, you need to deconstruct one of your two Rakata pieces.

Once you’ve confirmed you are on the right quest, use the icon of a broken lightsaber in your inventory to deconstruct the 340 Rakata piece you got from subscriber tokens.

After you speak to Hyde & Zeek again, you’ll be able to turn in the quest and a vendor will become available. The vendor will have “blue mods” available at item-rating 340.

7. Zeek’s Deconstruction: 340 Artifact

Next, talk to Hyde & Zeek again. When you speak to them the second time, you want to pick up:

[Accept mission] I’ll return with the parts you need for 340 Artifact modifications.

8. Deconstruct the second 340 purple Rakata piece

Once you have the quest called Zeek’s Deconstruction: 340 Artifact, you need to deconstruct the second of your two Rakata pieces.

Once you’ve confirmed you are on the right quest, use the icon of a broken lightsaber in your inventory to deconstruct thesecond  340 Rakata piece you got from subscriber tokens.

After you speak to Hyde & Zeek again, you’ll be able to turn in the quest the vendor will now have “purple enhancements” available at item-rating 340.

Gearing Up

Once you have Hyde & Zeek purple and blue unlocked, you’ll be able to gear up very easily!

  • “Best gear”: These mods are not “the best in the game”, but they are really, really close (best is 344 Rakata – these are two steps down).
  • Alts: This system is also really useful for players gear alternate disciplines and characters.
  • Legacy-bound Gear: When choosing moddable gear shells to place your modifications from Hyde & Zeek into, choose legacy-bound gear. That way you can share it between characters. An easy place to get some is at the Adaptive vendor in the Supplies section of the fleet (double-check it’s legacy-bound first) or from various Reputation tracks, or from the heroics rewards Remnant gear in collections.
  • Modifications are legacy-bound: The things you buy from Hyde & Zeek are also legacy-bound. So you only need to unlock the quest on one character, then you can mail or legacy-bank the items. If the 2-hour timer prevents you from mailing or banking the item, put it in a piece of gear then take it out again first. Or just wait the 2 hours.
  • Not seeing all the modifications: There’s a bug that causes some of the modifications on the Hyde & Zeek vendor to be missing. Change the dropdown at the top form your current Discipline to “all”. Keep in mind that you can not get purple mods or armorings, they are not available.

What pieces should I buy?

If you are a damage player…

    1. Start by getting and equipping a full set of empty moddable gear, weapon and offhand equipped
    2. Equip what have available or can get for your Relics, Earpiece, and most important, Legendary Implants. These will not come from Hyde & Zeek.
    3. Next, look at your Accuracy stat in your Character Sheet (Details). You want to reach as close to 2694 accuracy as possible, aka 110% accuracy, for non-PvP content. So start buying and equipping the yellow accuracy enhancements until you reach 110% accuracy on the Details sheet (scroll down in the sheet), so you never miss an enemy. Note your bracers and Belt can’t have enhancements. I needed about five accuracy enhancements.
    4. Your next step is your Alacrity, which controls how often you can use your abilities (and how fast casted abilities go). For most classes, you will be shooting for roughly just over 2,000 Alacrity, but it varies by class and by preference. With my Legendary Implants, this meant I only needed to buy two Alacrity enhancements.
    5. The rest of your stats you can put into crit. The may mean an enhancement, or augments.
    6. The next part is easy – buy 7 of the red armorings, one for each of your armor pieces, then the hilts/barrels/armorings you need for your weapon and offhand
    7. And then buy 9 of the red mods, one for each of your moddable pieces
    8. Last optional step would be to augment your gear.

Get Relics & Earpiece

340 Rakata Earpieces and Relics can be gotten from the Subscriber Vendor too! They are unfortunately a bit random. You could also save up OP-1 Catalysts to buy the specific ones you want, or to upgrade the ones you have gotten to 344, the best in the game. You can upgrade them in the Supplies section of the Republic or Imperial fleet at the Operations upgrade vendor.

Get Full Rakata Gear

Once you’ve gotten both 340 blue and purple mods unlocked from Hyde and Zeek, and 340+ relics and earpiece of any kind, you’ve accomplished a lot and will have some of the best gear in the game!

If you want to shoot for the very best gear in the game, you can easily do so with the Subscriber Vendor – buy the 340 Rakata pieces and upgrade them to 344 over time. You can upgrade them in the Supplies section of the Republic or Imperial fleet at the Operations upgrade vendor.

Get Legendary Implants

As soon as you hit level 80, the very first thing you should do is head to the Supplies section of the Fleet and speak to the big Blue Twi’lek quest giver twice, which will give you the Technological Advancements quest. This will eventually allow you to buy some of the best Implants for your character in the game. The subscriber token event also let’s you purchase Tech Fragments, which can be used to buy and upgrade your Legendary Implants once you have the vendor unlocked. Legendary Implants Guide
