How to Get the Umbara Stronghold
This stronghold is only available to players who have access to the planet Odessan, as you will need to take your ship and fly there. Due to its unique way of being unlocked, it also can only be initially unlocked with credits – it does not have a Cartel Coin option to access it. This stronghold used to cost a special type of currency called Alliance Recon Data, only dropped from the Crisis on Umbara Flashpoint, but now only requires credits.
To get the Umbara Train Stronghold, you will need to fly to Odessan, and head to the elevator in the east and choose the Alliance Staging Area.
Once inside, speak to the vendor named Nessl Vaccan, the Recovered Goods Vendor. You will need to purchase the Invitation: Trader’s Quarters item for 3,010,000 credits (3 million).
This will give the character you used it on access to the elevator in the South West of that same room, to the Trader’s Quarters elevator level.
Once you are in the Trader’s Quarters, you’ll be able to access the Umbara Stronghold Directory, and purchase the Umbara Stronghold for yourself or your guild. Since you already payed 3 million credits to access the area, the actual Initial Unlock for this stronghold is incredibly cheap, only a few thousand credits. This area is a no-summons zone, so you can not summon a friend and bypass the 3 million credit unlock. This also means only players who have the item unlock can browse the Public Stronghold Directory for player-decorated Umbara Strongholds.

For the Guild version of this stronghold, you will need to make sure you are on your character who is the Guild Leader for your guild.

Lore
Keep your enemies guessing with this stylish mobile defense base nestled within the walls of an Umbaran supply train. Enjoy the security of blast-proof barriers deep within the train’s interior, or climb above-deck to watch the Umbaran scenery as you sail through the sky. With a convenient taxi to whisk you between cars, speed and mobility will be the least of your worries.
Located in the Ghost Nebula, Umbara earned the name “Shadow World” for its eternal darkness and misty landscape. In isolation from the rest of the galaxy, Umbara’s population developed engineering feats far outstripping those in known space. Most notable is Umbara’s research into technological uses for Adegan crystals.
Though offworlders have no issue breathing the planet’s dense atmosphere, native Umbarans’ delicate systems require special helmets in order to breathe. Preferring solitude and secrecy, Umbarans rarely leave their dark homeworld, opting to isolate themselves from the rest of Republic space. This, alongside their stealth combat proficiency and natural preference for darkness, led offworlders to dub Umbarans “Shadow People.”

Immediately when you load in, you’ll see the terminals that allow you to re-watch the Umbara Stronghold cutscene, and the “Exit” terminal. There is only one load-in point for this stronghold.

Archival: Here’s how you used to get the train, from TOR Decorating. To purchase the Umbara Mobile Base, you must run Crisis on Umbara to earn 60 Alliance Recon Data. Purchase the Invitation: Trader’s Quarters from the Recovered Goods Vendor in the Alliance Supply Area on Odessen for the Alliance Recon Data and an additional 10,000 Credits. To earn enough Alliance Recon Data, you must run the flashpoint (including bonus boss) several times. NOTE: There is a 50-token cap per week and this only gives you access to the Trader’s Quarters (Alliance Staging Area, Odessen) where you can purchase the stronghold.
