SWTOR Tython Dynamic Encounters Guide

Dynamic Encounters are scheduled, timed quests on different planets in Star Wars: The Old Republic. If you are new to Dynamic Encounters and want to learn more about how they work and how to find them, visit the Dynamic Encounters Guide! This guide goes over all the Dynamic Encounters on Tython!

Rewards

There’s a bunch of different rewards you can get from Tython Dynamic Encounters.

All Encounters

All encounters give credits and experience.

At level 80, these quests also give 50 Tech Fragments and 3 Conquest Commendations, which are used for end-game gear or to earn credits or cosmetic items.

Zylthan Forest Schooner

Completing all of the encounters at least once and completing 30 Tython Dynamic Encounters total will earn you an achievement and a unique mount called the Zylthan Forest Schooner. You can check your progress in your Achievements in the section Dynamic Encounters → Tython → Mastery.

Once you have earned this achievement, you can get the mount on your other characters by going into the achievement panel and right-clicking it, which will add it to your mounts list if you have speeder piloting (it will not give you an item in your inventory).

Training Bay decoration

A reward from the Seeker of Wisdom achievement from the There is Serenity dynamic encounter on Tython. Observe the Jedi training 10 times. See below for tips.

Tython Flower Bed – Random chance of getting this decoration during the Tend to the Gardens step of There is Serenity. This decoration can be bought and sold on the GTN.

Tython Encounters

Here are all the encounters you can find on Tython. Tython can be visited by any characters on the Republic side – Imperial players can not fly or get to Tython. Jedi Consulars and Jedi Knights start off on Tython and can work on these as early as level 1, but may have trouble defeating some of the enemies until around level 10. Troopers and Smugglers can get to Tython once they have finished theiry origin story on Coruscant and earned their ship so they can fly there.

There is Serenity

Description: Each day, the Jedi take time to quietly reflect as they tend the temple grounds. They welcome all to participate and be mindful.

Step 1 (In Any Order, Random 3):

  • 0/3 Assist with Tidying
  • Recycle Defeated Combat Droid Parts
  • 0/3 Shoo Away Varmints
  • Observe the Temple Approach

It seems you get three tasks to do, but there are more tasks possible. For example, you could do Tidying, Recycling, and Chasing the small animals, but not have to observe the temple. When recycling a droid, pick it up from the training floor, and then walk over to the taxi/med center to use the recycler machine.

Step 2:

  • Tend to the Gardens: 0/3

Tending to the Gardens just requires clicking any of the potted planters for the trees outside the temple

You have a small chance of getting a decoration item when you water the plants.

Step 3:

  • Meditate with the Jedi

Meditation will be possible when you get close to the meditating group marked on the map you’ll get the same temporary ability to use as when observing the Temple Approach, pictured below.

The ten locations you can observer are scattered around outside the temple. Here is what they look like – they are groups of padawans with a Jedi Master teaching them in various ways. Walk up to them and the green-and-purple observe icon will become available.
