Interface Editor

Interface Editor: To adjust the location, shape, size and icons on the utility bars, you use the Interface Editor by pressing your ESC key, then choosing Interface Editor. You can also choose Interface Editor from the main menu, it’s part of the symbol with a cog in the menu.

Select: You can then click either the Utility Bar 1 (a box in the top left) or Utility Bar 2 (a box on the bottom right). You can edit them each independently. The act exactly the same except the Utility Bar 1 has the “Welcome Window” button, which can not be removed or moved to the other Utility Bar, and the Utility Bar 2 has the large “Exit Area” button that shows up when you are in a Flashpoint, Operation or Stronghold that allows you to easily leave the instance.

Move: To move a Utility Bar, click and drag it in the Interface Editor to where you want it to go. The Utility Bars are smart, and will flip their diagonal edge will flip if you move it more to the left or the right of the screen, or towards the top of the screen or bottom.

Settings: Once you’ve selected a Utility bar, you can edit its settings in the box in the center of the page.

You can adjust:

  • Global Scale (the size of the entire interface)
  • Scale (of just the Utility Bar, up to 1.25 from 1 default)
  • Alpha (how transparent it is, it starts at 100%)
  • Enabled (I DO NOT RECOMMEND DISABLING THEM – just use the “Empty” slots for the icons instead so you keep the Welcome Window button and the Exit Area button available.)
  • Slots / Icons

Exit area button on the Utility Bar 2. Not available if you disabled Utility Bar 2.

Old Minimap

To revert the minimap to its old style with all the buttons around it, press ESC on your keyboard, choose Interface Editor, and click your minimap on the bottom right. In the Mini-Map settings in the center of the screen, scroll down, and change the dropdown that says “Map Style” from “Minimal” to “Maximal”. Maximal is the old style of minimap. You can even have both the new Utility bars and the old minimap buttons!
