A little story about my character, Devilline.
Born on the planet of Republic planet of Coruscant, Devilline (whose mother was a Jedi Shadow and father was a light-sided Sith Warrior) grew up with up a strong kinship to the force, which was reinforced by the teachings of his both his parents. However, his path to the light side was swayed after witnessing the slaughter of his father by several Jedi after having his identity exposed by a Republic spy. Upon returning home to warn his mother of what transpired, he realized that she was nowhere to be seen. Forced to hide and live on his own, Devilline spent most of his teenage years in the slums. There, he met and befriended a Smuggler who eventually helped him flee Coruscant with a goal to avenge his parents.
–Insert dark-sided Sith Warrior story here…–
When Devilline began hunting down the sister of his former master, he stumbled upon a dark corridor, with lights flickering and blasters shooting in the background. There, he found his Jedi mother. Her body was beaten, ravaged, and covered in blood. She was barely alive, but still breathing. “Please, Dev, grant me this request and make this pain end”, she said as he held her close in his arms with tears streaming down his cheeks. “Do not forget what your father and I taught you…I love you…” Dev gave one last look into his mother’s eyes as she gave a little nod; he gently held his lightsaber against her stomach and activated it.
Heeding the words of his mother and with much struggle, Devilline eventually overcame the dark aura inside him, making his way back to a lighter and more neutral state of mind.
