A companion&#8217;s influence level represents how good they are in battle, and how useful they are in crafting and gathering, with 50 being the highest possible.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/mtx_bundle_companion_50_bundle-1-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48590\" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/mtx_bundle_companion_50_bundle-1-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"56\" height=\"56\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Normally you would need to raise your companion&#8217;s influence with a mix of questing, crew skills, and companion gifts, but a commander&#8217;s compendium item allows you to quickly bypass that process.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Get a Commander&#8217;s Compendium<\/h2>\n<p>There are three different ways to get a companion Compendium.<\/p>\n<h3>Cartel Market<\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"399\" height=\"398\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48585 \" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/img_6a83ca7f7119a.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/img_6a83ca7f7119a.png 399w, https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/img_6a83ca7f7119a-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/img_6a83ca7f7119a-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 399px) 100vw, 399px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can buy a Commander&#8217;s Compendium from the Cartel Market for 1,000 Cartel Coins, or a pack of three (for three companions) for 2,500 Cartel Coins.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"352\" height=\"293\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-48586 \" src=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/img_6a83ca8abbb6a.png\" alt=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/img_6a83ca8abbb6a.png 352w, https:\/\/swtorista.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/img_6a83ca8abbb6a-300x250.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 352px) 100vw, 352px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Every companion has an influence level, and you can see their influence level on the Companions and Contacts window, in a circle beside their name.<\/p>\n<p>However I <strong>do NOT recommend<\/strong> buying compendiums with Cartel Coins &#8211; But if you need your level 50 companion because you want to take on some challenging content, a Dark Project is the way to go!<\/p>\n<h2>How do you use a Compendium?<\/h2>\n<p>Once you have gotten a compendium in your inventory, summon the companion you want to give it to so they are out beside you.
